Cathy is with Cody and she asks about Randy Orton.
Cody says he will not be lulled into underestimating Johnny Gargano. He has history with Kevin Owens. He says he is going to defeat Kevin and Johnny to become Mr. Money in the Bank.
Trick Williams arrives and tells Cody Rhodes he hopes he makes it to Money in the Bank. Trick says he is in Money in the Bank and your dream is over. Trick says he will climb the ladder and grab the briefcase and then cash in on the Gingerbread Man to become champion.
Damian Priest says if you can make it in New York you are a real one. If you want repsect, you have to bleed. If you want to be the boss or be in charge. You have to throw your hands. This is the foundation for a champion. He says he lost his way and forgot who he was. He put others ahead of him and that won’t happen again. He will show it to R Truth. If you are looking for trouble, he will put him down and he will enjoy it. This city made him and made him thrive. He needed to comeback to this city to see who he is. He says he is aba man. He is a violent man. That is all you are going to see from him.
Tatum is frustrated over her loss and Alexa tells her not to worry about it
Charlotte tells Tatum that they have a tag title match next week. Charlotte gives Tatum a hat and she hugs Alexa.
Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring.
Sami says he has a question. He says he hears the noise, but he has to know. How many of you came to ride or die with the last real good guy? Sami says that reaction was a bit disappointing. No WWE champion has had the journey he had to get to this position. After years of you clamoring for it, he does it not only once, but twice and this is the reaction he gets. He thought there would be Justice for Sami after winning the title twice. There is injustice in the shape of inequality. Sami has not been given equal respect that WWE champions are supposed to get.
Sami says he has heard how he has been talked about. Cody says he knows that he can beat Sami. All of these vultures think all they need is a match with him because they will beat him. Sami says he has a reality check. This title is proof that he is a survivor. Sami says he overcomes. Ask CM Punk, Kevin Owens, or CM Punk. He deserves the respect he is entitled to.
Je’Von Evans interrupts and makes his way to the ring, despite this being the show that he is not on.
Evans says he didn’t mean to interrupt and Sami points out that he did. Evans says Sami is starting to look like an Angry Bird and he asks Sami if he is okay.
Sami says he is fine and the WWE Champion.
Evans says he knows. Since Money in the Bank is around the corner.
Sami stops Evans and he tells Evans he likes him and he has a big future. He was where Evans was.
Evans says you are going to say that his time is going to come. He says what if his time is now. You have been in his shoes before. What if it doesn’t take him twenty years to win the title? Evans says he is coming for that title. Evans says what if he becomes the youngest Money in the Bank winner? Maybe he comes to Smackdown and he cashes in and takes the title from Sami. You will see Evans holding up the title belt over him as the new WWE Champion.
Sami is interrupted again. This time by RAW WRESTLER Penta.
Penta says he respects Evans but if you want that contract you have to beat him and that isn’t going to happen. Penta tells Sami when he becomes Mr. Mney in the Bank, he does not care if it is Sami or Roman, he will cash in and he will become a World Champion.
Trick Williams, who is on the right show, makes his way to the ring.
The Trick Alarm goes off and he says there has been a lot of talk about respect. He says he has seen Penta and Evans on Raw and he respects them. They have one problem. Tonight is Friday and there is only one man on Smackdown who holds things down and it is him. Trick turns to Sami and he calls him ginger bread. He heard him talking in the back. Trick says Sami doesn’t respect anyone. It has been months and you haven’t combed your hair. You still have Sketchers on your feet. Your breath smells. Trick can’t respect a man who can’t brush their teeth.
At Money in the Bank, there is only one man in the ring who looks like Money in the Bank, talks like Money in the Bank, smells like Money in the Bank. That is because Trick is Money in the Bank. No one knows that more than Sami. He has beaten him twice before and will do it a third time.
Sami asks if you got it out of your systems because he has something to say. None of you can do it like him. You think it is that easy to do what he does. There can only be one winner so he is looking at at least two losers, but it will probably be three. What happens when you lose and the losses pile up. He survived being the Ginger Bread Man and he won the title. He main evented Wrestlemania. He has been made a mockery of his entire career. Do you think you can do what he can do. Do you think you can overcome what he has overcome? He says until you have overcome obstacles like him, you don’t deserve to stand in the ring with the champion.
As Sami heads to the back, Finn Balor comes out to the stage.
Finn says briefcase or not, he is coming for the title.
Sami says Finn isn’t special or the only one. He tells Finn to do something to earn a title match.
Finn punches Sami, but Gunther comes up behind and puts Finn in a sleeper. Gunther gives Sami a short arm clothesline and then he sends Sami and Finn into ladders.
Cathy is with Tiffany Stratton.
Tiffany says ladder matches are her thing and she is going to become a two time Ms. Money in the Bank.
Chelsea Green shows up and celebrates. They can both be champions.
Lash Legend shows up and she says she will dominate the match and she will get the briefcase and come for that title.
