WWE PUTTING WORLDS COLLIDE AGAINST AEW'S PAC TRIBUTE, MJF, WARDLOW AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2026-10-01 10:00:00

There's no way WWE still plans to run World's Collide head to head against the Dynamite Pac tribute show, right? That would be very tasteless on their end.

Does WWE still plan to run World's Collide head to head against Dynamite which will be a Pac tribute show or will they move it to another day?

As you saw, the show still ran at the scheduled time last night.  Other than Internet chatter, I never heard from anyone they even considered moving it.  You can feel how you want about it (and I would have personally pushed the show back a day, but I'm not in the seat making those decisions, so I don't know what the mindset was) but WWE was going to do what they wanted to do.  One would think they wanted it against Dynamite to begin with for all the obvious reasons and that sort of thing won't stop anytime soon, if ever.

The public reason for TKO asking multiple WWE talents taking a pay cut was due to the elimination of house shows, which means most talents only appearing on their weekly TV and likely wrestling only once or twice per month.   Since TKO has decided to bring a few domestic House Show tours back per month, have you heard anything about them going back to these talents with improved deals or excluding them from the house show tours? Or like most businesses in the modern market, are they expecting their "independent contractors" to do more work for less money?

You are paid a guaranteed fee when you are under a WWE contract.  That fee remains the same no matter whether they add shows or take them away.  It's always possible they are providing bonuses for more work, but I haven't heard that.  I personally never believed the cut back off the house shows reason.  I think the company just wanted to get their budget under better control at the time.  That's never going to change.

Does Wardlow over? Like, finished over? Will he ever live up to his potential? Dude seems like a great kid but it's been years and he's not a kid anymore?

He looked good last night on Dynamite.  He's had a bad run with injuries, so let's hope that's past him.

Where was MJF last night?  I'd have assumed he'd want to say something about Pac.

Let's be honest - that would be very "out of character" for the MJF that is portrayed on AEW programming. Plus, he's been off TV of late, so it makes the most sense to bring him back when they are ready for his next story.  Bryan Danielson wrestling and appearing makes sense as a way to help the audience feel uplifted in the wake of tragedy and to pay tribute to Pac.  MJF, who is supposed to be the most rotten, obnoxious jerk in the history of pro wrestling...to me, doesn't make the same sort of sense.

I was just reading your summary of Ari Emmanual’s book. I guess it’s a good thing they’ve settled that shareholder lawsuit, because it sure seems to me like if that book is taken at face value, Vince did exactly what shareholders claimed he did, in selling to the company who most benefited him, and not maximizing shareholder value? Would you agree

The lawsuit was settled for a reason.
