1 - Toru Yano, Mistico, El Desperado, Boltin Oleg and Shota Umino vs. Dick Togo, SHO, DOUKI, SANADA and Ren Narita Umino pins Togo after hitting Second Chapter.
2 - Master Wato, Ryusuke Taguchi and YOH vs. Gedo, Taiji Ishimori and Robbie X.
Wato hits a flying European Uppercut on Gedo and gets the pin.
3 - Daiki Nagai, OSKAR and Yuto-Ice vs. Zane Jay, Great O-Khan and HENARE
Yuto hits Cruella on Jay and gets the pin.
After the match, HENARE and Yuto brawl to the floor. O-Khan attacks OSKAR's leg with a chair. Yuto tries to set up O-Khan for the K.O.B., but OSKAR cannot stand. HENARE puts Ultima on Yuto, but he fights out of it.
Yuto cuts a promo on United Empire and criticizes them for taking a payday from AEW and not defending the belts in Japan.
4 - Taichi and Aaron Wolf vs. Zack Sabre Jr. adn Ryohei Oiwa
Kosei Fujita is out with an injury, so this match was changed.
Oiwa pins Taichi after hitting The Grip.
When Oiwa had the Big Lock on Taichi's head, there was an audible chant for Taichi. Oiwa just won the G1 Climax. Is the Japanese crowd behind Oiwa in his quest for the IWGP World Championship?
5 - Jeff Cobb vs. Callum Newman
Newman hits a low blow on Cobb, then hits Make Way. Newman pins Cobb.
6 - NJPW World TV Championship: Shun Skywalker vs. Konosuke Takeshita
Narita and Togo interfere in the match. Skywalker throws powder in Takeshita's face and Skywalker follows with a somersault double knee to the chest. Skywalker goes for Sky Fall but Takeshita escapes and hits a Poisonrana. Takeshita hits a Power Drive Knee. Two count. Takeshita goes for Raging Fire, but Skywalker reverses into Sky Fall. Skywalker hits a Cradle Power Bomb. Two count. Skywalker hits another Sky Fall. Skywalker pins Takeshita.
Shun Skywalker wins the NJPW World TV Championship.
The rest of House of Torture come to the ring and attack Takeshita. Toru Yano makes the save. House of Torture leaves the ring.
7 - Shingo Takagi vs. Claudio Castagnoli
Good match! Takagi hits a Burning Dragon and Last of the Dragon. Takagi pins Castagnoli.
8 - IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship: Drilla Moloney vs. Gabe Kidd
Another good match. Moloney hits two Drilla Killas but cannot get the pin. Kidd hits a piledriver but Moloney kicks out. Kidd hits a Tombstone. Two count. Kidd hits another piledriver. Two count. Kidd hits a headbutt and a Fisherman Buster. Kidd pins Moloney.
Gabe Kidd retains the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship.
Kidd takes the mic says that he will not defend the belt until the Tokyo Dome. Shota Umino comes out. Kidd mocks Umino. Kidd calls Umino weak for getting a concussion and missing the G1. Umino tells Kidd he has no respect. Kidd attacks Umino and goes for a Rebound Lariat. Umino avoids it and hits a Lariat of his own. Umino promises to make Kidd feel all pain that he caused. Umino stands tall and leaves the ring with Kidd on his back.
Gabe Kidd is the best heel in New Japan right now. New Japan needs a strong heel so the heroes have something to fight against. If Kidd does not wrestle or appear in New Japan to embarrass and attack Umino over the next three months, then that is a mistake. The last thing fans see is Kidd on his back in the ring and Umino standing tall. It should be the opposite with the villain standing over Umino. If it is Umino just cutting promos by himself for the next three months, and Kidd making video promos, then it will be a poor build to elevate Umino and diminishes great heel work by Kidd.
9 - IWGP World Heavyweight Championship: Hirooki Goto vs. Yota Tsuji
Yet another good match. Tsuji hits two Fire Blasters and pins Goto.
Yota Tsuji retains the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.
Yota Tsuji will defend his Title against the G1 Climax winner, Ryohei Oiwa, on October 12 at Ryogoku Sumo Hall.
Tsuji and Oiwa have a face off in the ring.
Tsuji thanks the fans and he says that he and Oiwa will have the best match possible. They will lead New Japan into a new golden era.
