This week’s episode of Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling Mayhem is from St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario. Our commentary team is Don Callis and Mauro Ranallo.
The show starts with a video from last week of Priscilla Kelly talking about what it means to her to win the MPL Women’s title.
Stu Grayson (MLP Interim Canadian Champion) vs. Dior Nolins
Stu gets a running knee strike at the bell. He follows up with Nightfall for the pin and the win.
Winner and still MLP Interim Champion: Stu Grayson
Stu grabs a mic and says An angry Stu is the best Stu. He then says he is going to talk to Don Callis and demands that he get in the ring. Don says he won’t get in the ring, but he’ll have a discussion with him. Don leaves the broadcast position and gets on the ramp, and he is joined by Josh Alexander. Josh tells Don to go back to the broadcast table.
Josh gets in the ring, and they go face to face. Hoish says it has nothing to do with Don; it’s about the title. He says Stu has been walking around with a replica championship, but Daddy’s home now. And if Stu puts his hands on him, he won’t be so understanding, and Stu needs to handle himself like a professional and shake his hand like a man.
They have words without the mic, and Stu finally shakes his hand and then pulls back and forth before Josh nails Stu with a right hand. They then start throwing hands. Josh avoids a knee strike, grabs his belt, and rolls out of the ring as they still have words with Josh on the ramp.
We then get a video package of Pricilla Kelly winning the title and Nikki Storm attacking her. We get a promo from Storm where she says she was just being honest, and she’s done pretending, and she’s coming for the title.
Alexia Nicole w/Taylor Rising and Kris Chambers vs “Big Al” Alice Crowley
They lock up, and Alexia gets a side headlock and shoots Alice off to the ropes, where Alice gets an arm drag. Alice gets a series of kicks and a boot to the head for two. Alexia shoves Alice into the corner and stomps her down there. Alexia gets a snapmare for two. Alexia keeps on Alice, who is able to get a double-leg takedown for two. Alexia gets a back stabber for two.
Alice shoves Alexia to the corner and charges into a back elbow. Alice gets a series of strikes, and Alexia fires back with a shotgun dropkick, a meteora, and a snap suplex for two. They trade blows, and Alice gets a series of lariats. She follows with kicks and strikes and a back drop suplex for two. Kris distracts the ref so that Taylor can knock Alice off the top for Alexia to get a small package for the pin and the win.
Winner: Alexia Nicole
Alexia, Taylor, and Kris surround Alice for a beatdown, but Jody Threat runs in from the back for the save, suplexing the heels out of the ring.
We get a promo from Crazzy Steve, who says he was using Psycho Mike. He tells Mike he was manipulating him to make him what he wanted him to be.
Gabriel Fuerza, TJP, and Johnny TV vs. The Already In The Ring Mo Jabari, Luigi Primo, and El Reverso
Luigi and TJP start the match, and TJP knocks everyone off the apron as Fuerza and TV attack Luigi. Fuerza and TV go to the floor to attack, while in the ring, Luigi tosses the pizza dough at TJP and gets a cross-body for two. Mo and Reverso dive onto TJP’s team, and then Luigi dives onto everyone. Luigi’s team then triple teams TJP until TV and Fuerza break it up, and all six men are brawling in the ring.
Mo and Reverso are tossed to the floor again, and Luigi is worked over by TJP’s team with quick tags. Mo and Reverso get back in the ring to free Luigi, who tags in Mo, who cleans house. Luigi leaves the pizza dough on TV’s head as Mo gets a sharpshooter and Reverso also gets a crossface on his head. TJP and Fuerza break it up. Everyone then gets a big move on the last person in the ring until Reverso gets a springboard back kick. Fuerza gets a spring kick on Reverso from the spin, and TV follows up with Starship Pain for the pin and the win.
Winners: Gabriel Fuerza, TJP, and Johnny TV
Next is Steve Maclin outside police HQ with his wife, Deonna Purrazzo. She bawls him out, and he thanks her for bailing him out. She said she didn’t bail him out. He is then called by Adam Copeland, who says he bailed him out and that Maclin’s attacks on people are a bad idea, and he will be facing him in the ring at Northern Rising.
Andrade El Idolo (AEW National Champion) vs. Karl Anderson w/Doc Gallows
Andrade calls for a handshake and Karl calls for a Too Sweet. They lock up, and Andrade backs them into the corner. They lock up again and go to wristlocks and arm bars. Andrade takes Karl down, and Karl pops up and takes down Andrade, and they break again. They lock up a third time, and Karl gets a kick to Andrade. Andrade is run into the corner, and Karl gets an insigiri.
Andrade is able to put Karl in the corner and hits a chop before whipping Karl into the turnbuckle. Karl avoids a charge from Andrade and covers Andrade for two and then drops a series of knees. Karl rips at Andrade’s face, and they run the ropes. Andrade hangs in the ropes with the Traquilo pose. Karl charges at him, and Andrade dodges him, allowing Karl to go to the floor where Andrade dives onto him. They brawl on the floor, and Andrade takes off his pants to wrestle in trunks. Andrade then takes a selfie with a woman in the front row as we go to a commercial.
When we return, they are both in the ring, and Andrade gets a series of flying forearms. Andrade charges at Karl in the corner, but Karl is up and gets a spinebuster for two. Karl calls for a brain buster, and Andrade blocks it. Andrade hits the three amigos for two. Andrade goes to the top, and Karl gets a dropkick on him. Anderson goes to the top with Andrade, and Andrade gets a headbutt to knock Karl down. Andrade gets a diving cross body, but Karl reverses it for a two count.
Karl goes for a slam, but Andrade reverses it and pulls him into the middle turnbuckle headfirst. Andrade hits the running meteora for two. Karl gets a bicycle kick, but Andrade hits Dia de las Muertes followed by the DM for the pin and the win.
Winner: Andrade El Ídol
Doc Gallows starts to threaten Andrade, and Capitan Suicida comes to the ring with a chair to stand with Andrade. Andersopnm and Gallows back off and start to head up the ramp when Capitan nails Andrade with the chair. He takes off his mask, and it is Rohan Raja instead of Capitan Suicida, and we are desperately out of time.
