WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh covered the story of a local man who was scammed by someone impersonating WWE star Rhea Ripley.
Their report noted, "Information shared by Pennsylvania State Police in Kittanning this week said they have crime happened in March.
Troopers said an unknown person or persons were portraying themselves as WWE wrestler Rhea Ripley. They were able to get $427,000 from a 64-year-old man through this scheme.
A public information officer said the victim refused to cooperate with troopers’ investigation."
