AEW Dynamite is live from the Chartway Arena in Norfolk, VA. Our commentary team is Excalibur, Taz, and Tony Schiavone.
We get a rundown of the card, and in the back, Renee Paquette is with Darby Allin, Steven Borden, Cage, and Cope, and when Cage starts talking about Borden’s father, Darby interrupts him. Cage and Darby have words, and Cope asks if they are OK for tonight, and they all agree.
We then get Stokely talking about FTR and how they will beat Cope and Cage. Kyle Lfetcher and Kevin Knight talk about how they beat down the Young Bucks, and they should get a title shot. Stokey says they can talk about that after FTR wins the title at All Out.
Darby Allin; Steven Borden; and Cage and Cope vs FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood), Kevin Knight, and Kyle Fletcher
Stokely joins commentary.
Cope and Kyle start the match, and they lock up and go to the ropes. They break clean, and Kyle grabs an arm bar. Cope trips Kyle, and they go to the ropes and break again. Kyle goes to the floor for the break. When he gets back in the ring, Cope grabs the arm again. Kyle is able to get away and Cage tags in, but Allin slaps his back to take his place. Darby grabs a side headlock, and Kyle flips him backward and gets a stalling vertical. Darby tags in Borden from that position, and this leads to the tag team siren going off and everyone getting into the ring to face off.
Borden and Dax stay in the ring, and Borden forces them to the corner and breaks by patting Dax’s face. Dax gets a side headlock and then runs the ropes, with Dax getting shoulder tackles. Dax blocks a hip toss and whips Borden to the corner. BordeDabrby n goes up and over, then hits a dropkick for two.
Dax forces Borden to the corner, and Dax accidentally nails Knight and Kyle off the apron. Borden is able to lay in blows in the corner, but when Borden charges into the corner, Dax gets a back elbow. Dax goes to the floor, and Darby rolls him back in the ring. Everyone hits the ring to throw hands as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Darby has been the babyface in peril. Darby runs headfirst into Kyle’s head, and both men are down, and Dax ties in to keep Darby from tagging. Darby is able to escape and tags in Borden, who runs wild. Dax is able to stop Borden, and they both go to the top. Borden batters Dax down, but Cash knocks Borden’s feet out from under him. This leads to everyone getting a big move on the last person in the ring.
When Borden’s team is sent to the floor, all of Dax’s team get Power and Glory on Borden for two, broken up by Cope and Darby. Dax starts slapping Borden and Borden gets an inside cradle for two. Dax gets a series of strikes and then goes for the Scorpion Death Lock, and Borden kicks himself free. Cage nails Dax with a chair, and the ref doesn’t see it. Cope spears Knight when he tries to interfere. Darby hits a coffin drop on Dax, as Borden gets a Scorpion Death Drop as Cage and Cope are fighting with Kyle and Cash. Borden holds on for the pin and the win.

In the back, Mox says it is incredible that Will Ospreay has targeted him. He says that he hopes Ospreay has learned that any belt around anyone’s waist doesn’t make them the best. It’s what they can become. He says he never asked Ospreay for anything, because he wanted Ospreay to lead. He says at All Out, when he looks across the ring, whatever happens is Ospreay’s responsibility.
He says the other Death Riders think they should take him out in the parking lot. Pac and Daniel Garcia explain what they want to do to take out Ospreay.
We get a hype video for the feud between the Brawling Birds and the Divine Dominion.
Jericho vs. Nick Wayne
They lock up, and Wayne goes behind Jericho. Wayne goads Jericho, and when they lock up, Jericho gets a hip toss. Wayne spits in Jericho’s face, and Jericho chops him down. Jericho chops Wayne into the corner and to the mat. Jericho plants Wayne’s face into the mat and goes for a lionsault, and Wayne pulls Jericho down by his hair. Wayne preens for the crowd and then throws blows at Jericho. Jericho grabs him for a double underhook backbreaker. Jericho then hits a stalling vertical suplex.
Jericho stands on Wayne’s chest for two. Wayne jabs Jericho’s eye and then tosses him to the apron. Wayne joins him, landing blows while mocking Jericho. Wayne tries for a Spanish Fly, and Jericho blocks it and hits a Death Valley Driver on the apron. Wayne sends Jericho into the steel steps and follows with a destroyer as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Jericho is throwing chops and then hits Wayne with a back body drop. He clotheslines Wayne to the floor, and when Wayne gets on the apron, Jericho hits a dropkick. Jericho then comes off the top onto Wayne on the floor. They fight on the apron, and Wayne sets Jericho in the ropes and goes to the top for a flipping senton. Wayne goes to the top and leaps into a Codebreaker from Jericho, who covers Wayne for two.
Jericho throws chops, and Wayne hits a standing sliced bread for two. Wayne misses a roundhouse kick, and Jericho goes for the Wall of Jericho, and Wayne flips it and gets a thrust kick. Wayne goes to the top, and Jericho joins him and gets ten in the corner, followed by a hurricanrana from the top. Wayne goes to the top, and Jericho does the same thing in that corner. Jericho misses the Judas Effect, and Wayne hits Wayne’s World for two.
They struggle to get up and throw hands as they get to their feet. Jericho pulls off Wayne’s necklace. Jericho goes for a rollup but rolls all the way through, crosses Wayne’s legs, and drops down for the pin and the win.
Winner: Chris Jericho
Wayne is ranting that his necklace was broken, and Jericho stops him and holds out a hand to help Wayne up. Wayne shakes him off, and when Jericho goes to leave the ring, Wayne kicks the middle rope and starts to beat down Jericho. Wayne shoves a steel chair in the ring and whacks Jericho with it.
Excalibur tells us that Mercedes Mone is not cleared to wrestle at All Out, but will be cleared for WrestleDream. We then get promos from Willow Nightingale and Thekla, who will face each other for the match with Mone.
Renee is with Andrade El Idolo, Will Ospreay, and Akira. Ospreay says that the United Empire is a group he started in Japan, which means Andrade is in the group even though he has a title shot in his pocket. Andrade says, “How you know?” Akira says they will kick the crap out of the Death Riders. But he didn’t say crap.
Conglomeration (Orange Cassidy, Roderick Strong, and Kyle O’Reilly) vs. Bandido, Brody King, and Hangman Adam Page - Winner gets the Trios Title Shot at All Out
Kyle and Page start the match with Kyle getting a kick to Page’s leg. They run the ropes and Page gets a shoulder tackle. Kyle tries for a Thesz press and Page blocks it. They move to mat work with neither getting an advantage until Page trips Kyle. Bandido is tagged in, and Kyle gets a series of kicks. They go back and forth, and Bandido finally gets a pair of arm drags. Kyle gets a kick to Bandido’s throat.
Cassidy tags in and hits a casement dropkick on Bandido. Brody tags in, and Cassidy avoids a charge in the corner, slowly walking out of the way. Cassidy blocks Brody’s chops. Cassidy goes for pockets, and they run the ropes with Brody coming up behind Cassidy when they slow down. Roddy is tagged in, and they throw chops as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Cassidy has been the babyface in peril. Bandido and Cassidy are both down, and they crawl to their corners. Cassidy tags in Roddy, and Bandido tags in Page. Page gets a back body drop and gives Kyle a high boot while he was in the ring. Roddy picks up Cassidy and gives him a fallaway slam on Page, who catches him, kicks Roddy, and then hits a fallaway slam on Cassidy.
Page tosses Roddy over the top rope and then clotheslines him to the floor before diving on Roddy. Page drops Kyle with a kick and returns to the ring where he hits a Death Valley Driver on Roddy for two. Roddy fights off a deadeye and gets a series of blows. Kyle tags in and Page nails Kyle before tagging in Brody, who beats down Roddy and Kyle in the ring. Brody whips Bandido and then Page into Kyle and Roddy. Cassidy tags in, and Brody gets a cannonball in the corner on Kyle and Roddy.
Brody goes for a baseball slide into Cassidy, who avoids it. Cassidy is able to send Brody into the barricade on the floor, and everyone is fighting around the ring. In the ring, Bandido gets a cutter on Cassidy for two. Bandido leaps to the top, and Cassidy avoids the frog splash. Cassidy hits this stundog millionaire and then an Orange Punch for two, with Brody breaking it up. Roddy and Kyel take out Brody, and Roddy tags in. Page and Roddy throw hands in the middle of the ring. Roddy gets a kitchen sink, and Page retaliates with a lariat.
Page picks up Roddy, but drops him when he sees Cassidy come off the top for a cross body. Cassidy gets on Page’s back, and they trade waistlocks. Then we get everyone taking out the last person in the ring. Page ends it with a buckshot lariat on Roddy for the pin and the win.

Tommaso Ciampa vs The Already In The Ring Miles Hawkins
Hawkins’ gimmick is that he takes his time to take off his gear and wants people to take care of it. Ciampa knocks him down for the pin and the win with one punch.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring to speak to Swerve Strickland, Austin Creed, and Kofi w/Prince Nana. They aren’t able to get to the ring as they are jumped by Ricochet, Toa Leona, and Bishop Kaun, who leave them lying.
In the back, Jungle Jack Perry says he is on a mission to face the great world champions, but he’s gotten his ass kicked all over the place. He says he is learning and inching closer to his victory. He then calls out Samoa Joe.
Lena Kross w/Megan Bayne vs Jamie Hayter w/Alex Windsor
Kross drops Hayter as soon as she gets in the ring. Kross rips off Hayter’s ring jacket and starts throwing hands. Hayter gets a back elbow in the corner, but Kross still beats her down. Hayter is able to reverse it and gets a series of rabbit punches and clotheslines. Hayter gets a big boot and then gets a low bridge on Kross. Kross gets a big boot from the apron and puts Hayter on his shoulders before dropping Hayter onto the apron face first.
Kross works over Hayter on the floor. Hayter starts fighting back and rolls Kross into the ring. Kross grabs Hayter and power bombs Hayter into the apron as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Hayter dodges a clothesline and hits a flying clothesline. Hayter gets a missile dropkick from the top and then a shotgun dropkick into the corner. Hayter gets a tiger feint kick and goes to the top. Hayter hits a missile dropkick from the top for two. Kross gets a German suplex for two. Hayter gets an inside cradle for two. Hayter gets an insigiri. Kross gets a shoulder breaker. Hayter gets a fireman’s carry into a slam, and both women are down.
When they get to their feet, they throw hands. Kross tosses Hayter across the ring and covers for two. Hayter escapes a suplex in a German suplex of her own and then a running knee strike for two. Hayter gets a backbreaker for two. Bayne gets on the apron with a title belt. As the ref is dealing with that, Kross pulls a pint from under the ring and nails Hayter, following with a jackhammer for the pin and the win.
Winner: Lena Kross
We then get a hype video for Andrade El Idolo.
Renee is with Kazuchika Okada, and when asked about Tommaso Ciampa’s challenge, he says Ciampa is a bitch. Ciampa then attacks Okada and says he wants the Psycho Killer vs. the Rainmaker. Bitch.
Renee is with the Brawling Birds, and Alex Windsor says that next week, if it ain’t nailed down, they will be using it on Divine Dominion at All Out.
Will Ospreay, Andrade El Idolo, and Akira vs. The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Gabe Kidd, and Pac)
Ospreay and Mox start the match. They slowly moved toward each other, and then Mox tags in Kidd. Kidd charges at Ospreay and slams him into the top turnbuckle. Pac is tagged in and then charges into Ospreay. Ospreay gets a hurricanrana on Pac and then a standing skytwister for two. Andrade is tagged in and then double-teams Kidd. Ospreay then drops Akira to Kidd. Kiss rolls to the floor, and it’s time for dives.
Andrade takes a selfie with a woman at ringside, and in the ring Akira gets a two-count on Kidd. Kidd lays in chops on Akira in the corner and then knocks Ospreay to the floor. Mox is tagged in, and Akira is sent to the floor where he runs Akira into the steel steps, then the barricade. Akira returns to the ring where Mox gets a scoop slam. Pac is tagged in and covers for two. Akira is the babyface in peril as the Death Riders work him over with quick tags as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Akira is still the babyface in peril. Akira is able to get a roll-through into a stomp, and both he and Pac are down. Andrade gets the tag and runs wild. Ospreay joins Andrade as they work over Pac. Ospreay tags in and gets a springboard elbow on Pac for two. Ospreay gets a series of kicks, a big chop, and Pac fires back. Pac gets a German suplex off the ropes.
Both men are down and crawling to their corners. Mox is tagged in, and he grabs Ospreay from behind. They throw hands in the middle of the ring. Ospreay tries an Oz Cutter, and Mox grabs a sleeper. Ospreay counters, flips Mox, and gets a roundhouse kick. Ospreay gets a Liger Bomb for two, with Kidd breaking it up.
Kidd is knocked to the floor and grabs Ospreay. Akira tags himself in, as does Pac. Akira gets a tejaris. Akira gets a moonsault onto Kidd and Pac on the floor. He then gets a spinning cutter on Mox for two. Mox dodges a knee strike, and Kidd nails Akira with a lariat. Everyone gets a big move on the last person in the ring, and Mox rolls up Akira for two. Mox gets a boot to Akira's jaw and starts slapping Akira. Akira starts fighting back and beats Mox down in the corner. Wheeler Yuta gets on the apron, and Akira knocks him down, allowing Mox to take over and get a Paradigm Shift on Akira. Pac and Andrade are fighting on the floor. Mox gets a Death Rider into a bulldog choke on Akira, and Akira has to tap out.
Winners: The Death Riders
Mox refuses to give up the choke, and Andrade fights his way free and starts to fight off the Death Riders. The Dogs hit the ring and start to beat down Andrade. The Death Riders and the Dogs hold the ring. Mox grabs a chair and throws it into the ring as Akira is still lying on the mat. Kidd wraps the chair around Akira’s neck. Ospreay gets into the ring and drives off the Dogs and the Death Riders. Andrade joins him, and they hold the ring. And we are desperately out of time!
