Speaking yesterday with Yael Rueda of Rueda en el Ring, WWE Women's World Champion Stephanie Vaquer revealed that she underwent surgery during her time away from WWE.  She did not go into any specifics, but did mention it prevented her from her usual training.

A translated excerpt of the interview, originally conducted in Spanish is below:

"It was difficult. It was very difficult because coming out of surgery and having to wait without training, I think that was the hardest thing I've ever had to do in my life. Not being active in my training, but I returned to the ring, and stepping into the ring for me felt like coming back to life. It was a necessary break for the sake of my health, but I returned better than ever and I’m going to keep going just as always—disciplined in my training and showing what I'm made of."

A few days before WrestleMania 42, she did an interview with Chris Van Vilet where she said she was not 100% going into her match against Liv Morgan. In Episode 5 of the WWE Unreal documentary series on Netflix, after her match at WrestleMania 42, she said she believed it was the perfect time to lose the WWE Women's World Championship to Liv Morgan because she spent ten years wrestling nonstop before coming into WWE without listening to her body and that it was the perfect time to take care of her health and slow things down a little.
