There has been a push locally for WWE Hall of Famer Davey Boy Smith to receive a posthumous Wigan Walk of Fame star in his hometown borough in England.
A petition has been launched at www.change.org/DaveyBoySmithWalkofFame to support the campaign.
Smith, who performed for All Japan Pro Wrestling, Stampede Wrestling, WWE and WCW, among other promotions over the course of his career, passed away in 2002. He was honored with a WWE Hall of Fame induction in 2020.
The Wigan Walk of Fame was created by The Wigan Council in 2012. It has yet to honor any professional wrestler.
