After a college basketball injury shifted her athletic focus, Martinez was trained by ECW Original Jason Knight and debuted in late 2000, quickly establishing herself as a powerhouse brawler and technical tactician across the independent scene. Widely regarded as a cornerstone pioneer for modern women’s wrestling, she built a reputation as an indispensable foundation for promotions like SHIMMER, Shine Wrestling, and Women Superstars Uncensored (WSU), holding championships across all three and famously competing in historic, record-breaking Iron Woman matches. Martinez competed in the first-ever WWE Mae Young Classic before signing with NXT and later AEW.
