You have mentioned a few stories about fans misbehaving. Have you ever seen times at a live event where a wrestler interacted with a fan and you thought the wrestler shouldn't have said whatever they said or did something where it was the wrestler who did something wrong?
Oh yes, I have for sure. One that stands out is when Bubba Ray Dudley would incite the fan base. He loved every minute of it but it made me uncomfortable at times because it seemed like a riot was going to break out and I had friends that were shooting pictures at ringside. I also remember a few things with The Harris Brothers brawling in the crowd that I thought crossed the line.
What is going on with Johnny Gargano? Is he recovering from an injury or just waiting for his contract to expire to rejoin his tag partner?
That’s a great question and I don’t have a great answer. I wish I did. But I will say this, there are worse ways for a wrestler to make a living. His body isn’t taking a beating.
The Bloodline angle got a lot less interesting once Paul Heyman was no longer involved. Additionally, when I think back to Triple-H's high points, the vast majority of them were Bloodline related.
That’s fair, for sure. The Bloodline was the catalyst for WWE’s boom in business, getting on Netflix, ESPN, etc. Heyman had a big role in that both on and off camera. It does not have the same vibe now as it did back then. I agree on that.
Was it Paul Heyman rather than Triple-H who was responsible for the resurgence in WWE storytelling once Vince was forced out?
Heyman helped, for sure, but Triple H oversaw everything so we have to give him credit for what he did then, just as we can question his booking now.
In an answer to one of the questions that was asked to you about Solo losing, to Jey Uso, you said you hated that happened. You also said in that same answer that at least it was a protected loss. Can you tell me what you mean when you say it was a protected loss?
Sure thing. A protected loss happens when there is a reason for the wrestler to lose, as opposed to straight up getting pinned. In this case, it was outside interference by Jimmy that distracted Solo, thus allowing Jey to get a cheap pin on Solo.
