Winners: Will Ospreay, Francesco Akira, and Henare

Renee Paquette is with Kazuchika Okada; Okada says nothing is more important than the family, except Takeshita. All that matters is that the International Title stays in the family. If Kyle keeps the title, he will be happy for him, but if he wins the title, he expects Kyle to be happy for him.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring, and he brings out Kyle Fletcher. We are told Don Callis is not at the show today. Kyle is asked about what Okada said; Kyle says we are in the midst of the greatest International Title reign of all time, and he doesn’t think it will end anytime soon. Kyle says Okada claims family means everything, and he agrees. He says he trusts that Don has a plan, and he trusts Don with all of his heart.

But Okada needs to know his role in this. If Okada is true to his word, he will have Kyle’s back and help him retain the title. He also says that they both hate Konosuke Takeshita. He starts to run down Takeshita, who comes to the ring. Kyle takes off his blazer, Takeshita takes off his shirt, and they throw hands. Takeshita hits Raging Fire, picks up the title belt, and holds it aloft over Kyle.

Next is a pre-taped interview with Renee Paquette speaking to Kenny Omega and Will Ospreay. She asks them about their first meeting in PWG back in 2015. Ospreay says he was out of his depth at that point, and he wanted to make an impression. Omega says he knew Ospreay was a rising star, but he wasn’t blown away at that time. Renee asks him about when they faced each other in New Japan, and Omega says Ospreay had filled Omega’s shoes in his absence. Omega says it was Wrestle Kingdom and they needed to sell tickets, and he was needed to sell those tickets.

Ospreay says that they were dealing with COVID, and Omega couldn’t handle dealing with NJPW during COVID. Omega says that they had the same situation in the US and asks if they had fans, wouldn't they be cheering for him?

Renee brings up Ospreay under Don Callis; Omega goes over the titles he won under Don Callis, noting he was a cautionary tale for people. But then Ospreay joined Callis. Ospreay says Omega embarrassed him, and Omega says Ospreay embarrassed him as well. They argue about how Callis interfered in their match at Forbidden Door. Omega says he forgives him for the Don Callis interference because Ospreay admitted he couldn’t do it without Callis’s help.

They are asked about the injuries; Omega says he can’t train or move the way he used to, but it makes him a better wrestler because he had to start using his brain. Omega asks if Ospreay is a better wrestler after his injury. Ospreay talks about how every time he built him up, Omega left for a time, but when he said Omega had lost something, that fired Omega up.

They each accuse the other of having a huge ego. Ospreay says he wants Omega to give his best to prove he is the best there is. Ospreay gives a speech about how important it is to him and what he will do to beat Omega. Omega says the last time Ospreay tried to do it on his own, he failed, and now he is going to fail again in front of his family.

Omega really goes for low blows on his side of the discussion and comes off as the heel here. A great way to build for the match.
