Director RJ Kizer, who worked on a number of projects including the 1988 Roddy Piper film Hell Comes to Frogtown passed away yesterday at 73 years old, PWInsider.com is sad to pass along. His passing is making the rounds on websites and Facebook groups devoted to the kaiju film genre.
The plot of the film - "When a nuclear holocaust renders most of mankind sterile, a drifter is recruited for a very special assignment."
Beyond Frogtown, Kizer also directed the American version of Godzilla 1985 and the 1992 film Death Ring. He worked in a number of other facets of production in the Hollywood world for decades, including overseeing ADR editing for Deadpool and a number of other big Hollywood films.
