Variety is reporting that WOW - Women of Wrestling, which currently airs as a syndicated weekly series distributed by Paramount will begin to air weekly live episodes from Los Angeles' L.A Live when they kick off their new, fifth season. Season four premiered in September 2025, so this new season would likely launch next month.
There is no word where the series will air live or whether those live episodes will replace the existing syndication network.
“Taking WOW live from L.A. LIVE changes everything about the experience. Bigger moments, bigger stars, and the energy of a live crowd that fans at home feel in real time,” WOW - Women of Wrestling founder David McLane told Variety. “And this is the start of something larger, an annual calendar of marquee events that makes WOW a destination, not just a show. I’ve spent years building this league into a platform for women who belong in the spotlight, and this is the stage they’ve always deserved.”
Variety's article also stated that WOW owner Jeannie Buss will have on camera appearances as part of the new season.
“Season 5 is personal for me in a new way,” Buss commented in the article. “I’m taking on a bigger, more visible role, and fans are going to see a side of WOW they haven’t seen before. I’ve spent my career fighting for women to be seen and respected in spaces that weren’t built for us, and WOW exists to give women that platform, in the ring and beyond. Women’s sports are having a real moment, and this season delivers on everything we’ve been building toward.”
