AEW Collision is live from the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs, CO. Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone, Nigel McGuinnes, and Paul Wight.
We start off with Tony telling us the rules of the Continental Cup Tournament.
We then get a video with the highlights of Grand Slam Mexico last Wednesday night.
Claudio Castagnoli vs Ace Austin - Continental Cup Tournament Match
Claudio picks the leg and gets a Death Valley driver and then stomps down Ace. Ace is able to get an arm drag, and Claudio gets a scoop slam. Claudio whips Ace to the corner and gets a charge into him. Ace picks a leg and then gets a sliding dropkick. Ace picks up Claudio and does a squat and hits a Death Valley driver. Claudio trolls to the floor, and when Ace dives onto him, Claudio catches him and slams him into the barricade.
Claudio runs Ace into the barricade and gets on the apron for a dive onto Ace. He slams Ace into the apron. Ace avoids a leg sweep on the apron, hits a running knee, then leaps over the turnbuckle for a dive onto Claudio as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Claudio has Ace in a leg-based arm bar, and Ace picks him up to escape. Claudio gets a bulldog choke, and Ace sinks to the mat. Ace forces his way to his feet and elbows his way free. Claudio runs him into the corner with an uppercut and follows with a snap mare for two. Claudio misses an elbow drop, and Ace gets a low bridge to send Claudio to the floor.
When Claudio gets back in the ring, Ace gets a drop kick. Ace gets a series of strikes, a suplex, and a leg drop. Claudio picks up Ace and puts him on top. They fight on top, and Ace comes off the top with a tejaris. Ace does a Fosburt Flop over the top rope onto Claudio. Ace rolls Claudio into the ring and gets a guillotine leg drop from the top for two. Ace charges at Claudio, and Claudio catches him. Ace escapes out the back for a rollup for two.
Ace avoids a charge in the corner, but Claudio gets an uppercut for two. Claudio goes for the giant swing, and Ace instead grabs Claudio and gets head scissors. Claudio is able to get up with Ace on his shoulder, but Ace gets a v victory roll. They go back and forth, and Claudio turns it into a back suplex. Claudio runs into a spin kick. Claudio hits the pop-up uppercut for the pin and the win.

We get a hype video for Kenny Omega vs Will Ospreay at All In London.
We then get a video recap of the Motor City Machine Guns joining AEW.
The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor) vs The Already In The Ring Vertvixen and Viva Van
We get to see the Brawling Birds' moves in a quick match where they win with Two Birds On Stone on Vertvixen for the pin and the win.
Winners: The Brawling Birds
Divine Dominion’s music starts, and they attack the Birds from behind. They slam Windsor on the timekeeper’s table, and it doesn’t break.
We get a video recap of the feud between Darby Allin and Kevin Knight, who will have a Falls Count Anywhere match at All In London.
Orange Cassidy vs Matt Sydal - Continental Cup Tournament Match
They lock up and then break. They lock up again and go to side headlocks. Cassidy gets an arm drag and crucifix rollup for two. Sydal reverses it for two. Cassidy gets an arm drag, and Sydal answers with one of his own. They each avoid another arm drag. Sydal picks the leg and sets for a standing moonsault, but Cassidy gets a rollup for two. Cassidy trips Sydal and misses a moonsault as Sydal dodges, and Sydal grabs Cassidy on the mat for two.
They reverse wisp back and forth until Sydal gets a clothesline in the corner. Sydal goes to the top, and Cassidy joins him there. They throw hands, and after both almost fall, they hit each other and tumble to the floor as we go to picture in picture.
When we return to full screen, Cassidy gets nine in the corner, and Sydal gets the tenth. Syday gets a tejaris and follows with a pair of kicks. Sydal gets a question mark kick and then goes to the top for a Meteora for two. Cassidy is whipped to the corner, where he goes up and over. Cassidy gets an elbow from the top and a Stundog Millionaire for two.
They go back and forth with DDT setups, but Cassidy ends it with a scoop slam for two. Sydal gets a flurry of kicks. Cassidy gets his hands in his pockets, hits a drop kick, and then dives onto Sydal on the floor. Sydal is rolled into the ring and gets a swinging DDT for two. Cassidy pulls off the elbow pad, and Sydal catches the Orange Punch and rolls Cassidy up for two. Sydal goes to the top, and Cassidy avoids the shooting star press and gets a Beach Break for the pin and the win.
Winner and moving on in the tournament: Orange Cassidy
Jon Moxley is with Claudio and tells him he was great tonight. He then says that he is putting it all on the line, and he is ripe for the picking. He says he likes Jack Perry, but he is with the Bang Bang Gang tonight, and he doesn’t like them, so it’s a bad night for new friends.
The Rascalz (Dezmond Xavier and Zachery Wentz) w/Myron Reed vs The Already In The Ring Aaron Solo and Steve Fuentes
We get to see a bunch of Rascalz shenanigans until they finally get the hot fire flame on Fuentes for the pin and the win.
Winners: The Rascalz
Dezmond grabs a mic and says the last time they were in Colorado, they won Mile High Madness, and the Rascalz know all about being a Mile High. They have shown they are one of the best trios, the best tag team, and they can do it solo as well. Myron Reed says he is ready for Speedball Mike Bailey right now, and Speedball obliges him.
Myron Reed vs Speedball Mike Bailey
They lock up and get quick takedowns, and one counts back and forth. They run the ropes, and both get arm drags. They each catch the leg and slowly put them down and shake hands. After each misses a series of kicks, Bailey gets the flurry of kicks. He charges at Reed on the apron, who dodges and gets a guillotine leg drop. Reed gets a sunset flip, but Bailey rolls through. Reed gets a springboard drop kick and then charges to dive. Bailey gets on the apron and back flips onto Reed on the floor as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, they are fighting on the apron. Bailey gets a series of kicks, and Reed grabs his foot and gets a kick of his own. Bailey gets into the ring and gets a leg sweep. He goes for a double knee drop, and Reed dodges it. Reed goes for a leaping DDT, and Bailey catches him and goes to the apron and hits a springboard corkscrew off the second rope onto Reed on the floor.
Reed is rolled into the ring, and Bailey goes to the top. Bailey leaps over Reed and hurts his knee. Reed gets a Banderas and then goes to the top; Bailey gets a kick to Reed and joins him there. Bailey gets a hurricanrana from the top and misses a spinning leg kick. Reed dodges it and hits a cutter. Reed charges into the corner, and Bailey gets his feet up. Bailey goes for a moonsault, and Reed turns it into a cutter. Bailey goes to the floor, and Reed dives over the ringpost and then rolls Bailey into the ring. Reed goes for the no cap splash, and Bailey dodges it. Bailey gets a Spanish Fly for the pin and the win.
Winner: Speedball Mike Bailey
In the back, The Dogs say they keep winning, and at Dynamite, David Finlay will finish off Jay White for good. They say it doesn’t matter who you are, because the Dogs are off the chain.
Hikaru Shida and Persephone vs Maya World and Hyan
Shida and Hyan start the match, but Shida immediately tags in Persephone. Hyan dodges the lock-up and gets a shoulder tackle and an arm drag. Hyan gets a German suplex with a bridge for two. Maya tags in and lays in chops. Persephone whips Maya to the rope, and Shida kicks her in the back. Maya fights both Shida and Persephone. They pick Maya up,p and she takes them both down and then gets a spinning heel kick on Persephone for two.
Hyan is tagged in. Hyan tries for a sunset flip, and Persephone gets a roll-through into a drop kick. Shida gets a kick to Hyan’s head. Maya tries for a dive, but Shida and Persephone nail her as we go picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Hyan has been the babyface in peril. Hyan is able to hit an arm drag on Persephone and tag in Maya as Shida tags in. Maya runs wild as Persephone stays in the ring with Shida. Hyan is tagged back in. They double-team Shida in the corner for two. Persephone drags Maya to the floor. Shida gets a high knee on Hyan, and Persephone gets a drop kick from the top. Shida gets a falcon arrow for two, broken up by Maya.
Shida gets rid of Maya and tries for a running knee, but Hyan grabs it. Maya picks up Shida with a double underhook as Maya grabs Shida for a face buster. Persephone gets into the ring and takes a fallaway slam to the floor, and Maya dives onto Persephone. Hyan gets a spear on Shida for two. Shida gets a gutbuster on Hyan for the pin and the win.
Winner: Hikaru Shida and Persephone
Lexi Nair is with Kevin Knight in the back, and he says he knows what match Darby wants, and maybe he will grant him his wish. Knight says Darby wouldn’t have gotten the pin in their tag team match if Jericho hadn’t interfered. So, Knight challenges Jericho for Dynamite.
We get an update on Konosuke Takeshita in the G1 tournament in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Jack Perry and the Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson, Colton and Austin Gunn) vs The Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Pac, Wheeler Yuta, and Daniel Garcia) w/Marina Shafir
Mox and Austin work arm bars until Mox gets a signal leg takedown and Austin escapes. Perry tags in, and Mox casually tags in Yuta after they circle each other. Yuta gets a rollup for two. They run the ropes, and Perry gets a dropkick, and his team works over Yuta with quick tags. When Juice tags in, Yuta bites him. Garica and Pac get into the ring, and Juice fights them both off with jabs and then with a leaping cross body. The Death Riders are all sent to the floor as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Juice has been the babyface in peril. Juice gets a leg lariat on Garcia, and both men are down. Juice tags in Perry and we get Perry and Mox throwing hands in the middle of the ring. They run the ropes, and Perry gets a leaping forearm. Perry charges into the corner, and Mox gets the boot up. They go back and forth trying to get big moves, and they clothesline each other down. Yuta and Austin tag in, and Austin runs wild. Colton is tagged in, and they take out each other's Death Riders. Colton gets a Famouser on Yuta. All four of the Death Riders work over Colton.
Juice gets in the ring and lays in jabs on all of the Death Riders to break it up. It's time for each person to get a big move on the last person in the ring. Perry gets a moonsault from the top on all of the Death Riders but Yuta, who is in the ring with Colton. Colton gets a dropkick, and he calls for 3:10 to Yuma, and the Dogs hit the ring as Shafir distracts the ref. Yuta gets a low blow and Busiko knee for the pin and the win.
Winners: The Death Riders
Perry nails Yuta after the bell and calls out Mox, who leaves with the Death Riders.
In the back, Bailey says he got a win over Myron Reed, and he is locked in. He says that MJF is looking for an opponent. Nick Wayne shows up and says Bailey will fumble his opportunity again. Wayne then says he will beat Bandido at Ring of Honor Death Before Dishonor, and he invites Bailey to watch him win on Dynamite.
Tony then gives a tribute to Dory Funk Jr.
In the back, Lexi has Shane Taylor Promotions, who want to acquire the services of The Hurt Syndicate. Shane hands them an envelope of cash for their time. MVP says they have his attention, and they will get back to them.
In the back, Perry and the Bang Bang Gang are in the back. Perry says he was told to stay away from gangs, but they seem all right. He says that on Wednesday they won’t have any backup, and if Mox loses, he is out of the cup. Juice says that Yuta would have taken a 3:10 to Yuma without the Dogs. He says White will take out Finlay when they meet.
Jack Doyle vs Eddie Kingston
Nice to see Kingston back on AEW after a long stint in ROH.
They lock up, and Doyle shoves him back. Eddie gets a side headlock takeover. Doyle gets a shoulder tackle, and they run the ropes. Eddie gets a shoulder tackle, but Doyle doesn’t go down and runs through Eddie. Eddie lays in chops and Doyle chops Eddie down. Eddie dodges a charge in the corner, and Eddie lays in chops. Doyle dodges a chop and gets a clothesline. Doyle gets a splash in the corner.
Doyle works over Eddie in the ropes. Eddie is tossed to the floor. Doyle goes to the floor, and they brawl with Eddie rolling into the ring. Eddie hits a chop, and Doyle gets a scoop slam for two. Doyle puts Eddie in the corner and hits shoulder thrusts. Doyle gets a short-arm clothesline for two. Eddie gets a series of strikes and a big chop. Eddie gets the machine gun chops in the corner and tries to pick up Doyle, but Doyle hoists him and gets an Oklahoma stampede for two as we go to picture-in-picture.
When we return to full screen, Eddie gets a boot up in the corner and then comes off the top with a flying shoulder tackle. Eddie drops the straps and hits an exploder on Doyle for two. They both take time to get up. Doyle gets a forearm and then a clothesline to the back. Doyle sets for a power bomb, and Eddie escapes and hits an exploder for two. Eddie misses a spinning back fist, and Doyle is able to hit a power bomb for two.
Doyle picks Eddie up and nails him. Doyle hits him again, and Eddie gets two spinning back fists. Eddie gets a dragon sleeper, and Doyle has to tap out.
