I understand moving AAA's TripleMania out of the sold-out Luxor Theater, which fits 1,500 fans. Wouldn't it make more sense to move to Mandalay Bay's Arena which holds up to 10k fans than the much larger MGM Grand Arena for up to 15k fans? I could be wrong, but I do not envision they will sell anywhere close to 10,000 tickets.
Mandalay Bay is much more expensive to run. It’s a nicer building, by far (plus it’s home to the defending WNBA Champion Las Vegas Aces). My guess is that WWE would rather use the cheaper building.
Will anyone have legitimate numbers for SummerSlam attendance this weekend? Real attendance vs. What they announce, number of comps, or perhaps how many tickets moved after they started offering deals.
Magic 8 Ball says all signs point to no! We will get a number but I don’t see any world where we get the real paid number.
Well, I guess how WWE views Giulia was pretty clear after her match with Lash. Pretty much one big move and she got killed. Damn….Is she on the way out? I don’t know how they rehab her at this stage. Her babyface run has been completely forgettable, unfortunately.
Yeah, I feel bad for her. The booking has been terrible. It’s hard to get ahead when the booker does nothing to help you. She has a lot to offer, they just haven’t let her show it.
What’s your call on Nick Aldis after this weekend? Back to GM, or he wrestles for a while?
Well, he’s the GM again but after the performance that he put on I hope that they let him wrestle again. We shall see what they decide down the road. If it was a one off, at least he got to have one hell of a match.
Has Haku signed a full-time deal, or was his appearance a one off? Glad to see him back on TV, but will the younger fans know & appreciate him as most of them likely never saw him wrestle?
I don’t know the plans at this point but if they really want to rehabilitate his sons, who need some rehabilitating, I think he can help in that cause. If they tell the story correctly, younger fans won’t ever have needed to see him wrestle to appreciate the character.
