I thought Brock Lesnar usually fights to be on early so he can leave. How did he end up the Summerslam main event?
He's pretty much in his home market when he's in Minneapolis, so not as far to travel. The belief among those we spoke to yesterday is Lesnar pushed to close the show.
Do you think there will be a wrestling involvement of Billy Corgan and Smashing Pumpkins being inducted to the Hollywood Walk of Fame?
Well, it's the band being inducted into the musical side of the Walk of Fame, but you never know it Corgan might have some of his wrestlers appearing. At the very least, I'd have the induction air on the NWA Powerrr series.
I saw some websites refer to Mickie James as a WWE Hall of Famer. Did she get announced for a new class and I missed it?
No. James was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame, but as of this writing, has never been announced for or inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Hows does WWE have so many typos on their graphics now. I imagine Vince McMahon would be murdering someone if that aired on his TV.
I think it's a case of the company letting so many people with institutional knowledge of the company go, and then having TKO employeees have to cover UFC, WWE, PBR, Zuffa Boxing and more at the same time. The more that is thrown on your plate, the more likely there will be human error.
Remember when everyone was whining about Royce Hobbs and you wrote WWE was just getting him acclimated? Twitter seemed to think you were lying and then, he showed and well, he seems pretty acclimated. Thoughts? Did you get any apologies?
I think you answered your own question. There's lots of examples of people creating their own false reality on social media because "there must be" a reason beyond what is obviously staring them in the face. This was just one recent example. As far as apologies, of course not. That would require introspection and growth from those who would rather vomit junk as they type with their thumbs.
I thought your comments comparing WWE to Lucasfilm when it comes to how much they spread themselves thin post-sale rung pretty true. WWE, like Star Wars, has so many clothing companies they partner with now that it's impossible to keep up and often, the quality isn't great in terms of designs or styles, sort of like the 100,000 Baby Yoda shirts. My question is, why is this?
Endeavor spent a lot of money to acquire WWE and now they want to do everything and anything they can to not just make that money back but make money beyond that. It's the nature of the beast, sadly.
