Scenic City Invitational - ACTION Futures Showcase 2026

7/18/26 Red Bank, TN

For the first time, we have separate men’s and women’s Futures tournament brackets! Each tournament features three 3-way opening rounds, leading to a 3-way finale. We’ll have a couple showcase matches to add to the afternoon as we look at who is new and upcoming on the scene! Scott Hensley is making his retirement from wrestling this year and hands the mic off to up and coming Chloe Waid!

Match 1: Storm Ryder vs Dylan Cole vs Oldman Youngboy (Men’s Opening Round)

Storm is SO STRONG. Cole is SO MEAN. Oldman is SO BENDY! Ryder is a your jockish mullet man. Cole is just a d***. Oldman is like…Freddy mercury by way of ZSJ? Cole keeps emphasizing that he’s SO GOOD. Storm is all aggression. Like a young  Scott Steiner?  All three guys rip through this opener but it’s Youngboy who does a leg scissor takedown on Cole and traps him for the three!

Match 2: Davina Thorne vs Ravenna Vein vs   Gwen Neodonna (Women’s Opening Round)

Davina and Ravenna had a casket match two nights ago. Will history repeat itself here for Vein? Will Thorne get the W back? Or will Neodonna capitalize on their drama and get to the finals? Thorne tries to pay the ref off to call the match in her favor. Vein looks to fight Gwen instead and while Thorne doesn’t want to be in this match…so won’t let the spotlight NOT be on her. Gwen breaks of pins between Vein and Thorne. She won’t be third wheel. Ravenna blasts Thorne with a gory bomb! Gwen almost steals the pin! Thorne gives Gwen a suplex but pops right up into a spear from Ravenna and the Vampire Baddie stacks Davina up for the three!

Match 3: Herculon Rage vs JB Anderson vs Hayden Seal (Men’s Opening Round)

Seal looks way too clean cut for this triple threat against these two violent men. Seal does have the height advantage today and tries to press that. Rage is a force though. JB might be a Deathmatch guy but he’s all smiles for this fight and has to work with Hayden to keep Rage down. Anderson with a good run with a neckbreaker on Rage but Hayden blasts JB with a boot and gets the three. This was a FAST but FUN match and I think that benefits the pace of the show.

Match 4: Clara Carter vs Riley Judah vs Sigrid (Women’s Opening Round)

Carter thinks she’s got this in the bag since she beat Sigrid already and Judah is just too short. They give Carter a piece of their collective minds, crush her in the corner and get to fighting. This is a pro-Sigrid crowd for sure. Carter back in it, dragging Sigrid to the floor and stomping Riley out. Sigrid gets back in and unloads. Clara with a rolling dvd on Riley. She misses a Vader bomb and Judah pedigrees her! Carter takes advantage and hits a package powerbomb on Judah for the three!

Match 5: Damon Stryker vs Grayson Pierce vs The OXP (Men’s Opening Round)

Some might figure Stryker, the TWE Gig City Champion, to be a favorite here. Then again, a win over Damon here gets you a trip to the finals and MAYBE a future title shot? And then again again, have y’all SEEN OXP??? Grayson reminds them both that he’s in this two with a split legged double dropkick. They get into a wild sequence of waist locks and even the referee is in there? Ref Kevin almost gets the rollup for three?!? Huge pop. This is fast and furious. OXP landing a lot of his flippy kicks. Big dive party to the floor, Piece hits a moonsault off the corner! Stryker has had it and pokes eyes and rams people into poles. Stryker does a karate kid pose and blatantly kicks OXP low. He makes the pin and gets the three and it’s clear NO ONE WAS EXPECTING THIS.

Match 6: Corinne Joy vs Vivian Cross vs Alexandra Quinn (Women’s Opening Round)

Joy is a diva and a heel here and she’s already bored of this match. Joy won’t shake hands. Cross shakes Quinn’s hand and then Uses it to slap Joy. Quinn almost eats a head scissor…but spins it out to a backbreaker. Joy and Cross try to suplex Quinn, big snap reversal! Quinn just got over with the crowd hard. Joy working with Cross, who seems to be just willing to play along with any beatdown that’s happening. Joy and Cross get a little bit of oneups going back and forth and Quinn is eating all of it. And then one of them tries to pin Quinn  and the honeymoon is over. Quinn blasts Cross with a butterfly suplex. Boot wash on Joy! Joy’s character work has come so far as a heel, she just keeps mouthing off. It’s great. Cross grabs a baseball bat. Joy catches her with a siderussian. Quinn smashes Cross with a gutwrench sitout powerbomb and should have the win but Joy slides in with a crucifix rollup and steals the three! This was a lot of fun.

It’s time for our first non-tournament match. Jack Moody is here from Dublin, Ireland to explain to the people of Chattanooga why he is a well-travelled man of mystery and how Ireland is better than Tennessee is every way. Better whisky, better music, better scenery. JT Paradox, a man from Alabama, is here to defend the honor of Tennessee. Word.

Match 7: Jack Moody vs JT Paradox

Why is Moody wearing wrestling gear that looks like the same pattern I have on my office curtains? He is immensely hateable as he wraps up Paradox and does sit-ups in the position. Something apparently he needs to teach about to the people of Chattanooga. Paradox starts tossing the Irishman around with ease but gets clobbered in the face while trying to dive to the floor. Paradox is clearly able to overpower Moody so he starts working the limbs, hoping to take that advantage away. Moody pushes off of an Attempted German and the ref gets crashed into…moody removes his protective face mask that he’s been wearing all mask, clubs Paradox with it, puts it back on before the ref sees and easily makes the pin for the three. This was good.

Match 8: Chase Holliday & Joslyn Navarro vs Mackenzie Morgan & Kasey Owens

Kasey knows what the people want and pulls down his top. It’s time for meaty men to chop some meat. Kasey fails miserably at his chop and Chase just destroys his chest and back immediately. “That’s QUITE enough of that!” Yells Owens. MKZ with a head scissor sends Chase off for the tag. She starts well but Chase and Navarro double team he on the ropes and the smallest participant in this contest is now a tackling dummy. Owens wants to help but he’s making it worse for her. MKZ is trying to fight back but she’s just being overwhelmed. She finally tags to Kasey after shoulder blocking he way across the ring, Owens suplexes Joslyn into Holliday in the corner! He tries a spear but Joslyn punches him out of the air. MKZ saves Owens from the pin, she superkicks Navarro out of the ring…face to face with Chase and she hits a couple dozen chops….and Chase crushes her with a single swing. MKZ escapes a power on & dive out at Joslyn. She tries to dive at Chase but he catches her. Owens charges in with a flying headbutt that drops Holliday back and Morgan gets the pin!

Main Event 1: Damon Stryker vs Hayden Seal vs Oldman Youngboy (ACTION Futures Men’s Final)

If I was to describe Hayden Seal, he looks like “Fancy Ryan Ben Bishop”. Stryker remembers how he won the opening round and blatantly smashes Seal with the Gig City title. Oldman tries a rollup but winds up in a fast scramble with the champ. Styler dropping knees to the back of Youngboy’s head while Seal is very down and out in the outside. This is ALL Damon. Oldman cuts this off with a heel hook into a single crab. Stryker is screaming in pain and about to tap out when Seal superkicks Oldman In the back of the head. Stryker eats shots as Youngboy tries to snag the leg scissor pin he got in the opener. Oldman with an abdominal stretch and just slapping those ribs over and over. Stryker finally breaks this up but eats a chokeslam…Oldman. Youngboy hits that leg trap scissor pin on Hayden and gets the three!

Oldman Youngboy is your 2026 ACTIONS Futures Men’s tournament winner!

Main Event 2: Ravenna Vein vs Clara Carter vs Corinne Joy (ACTION Futures Women’s Final)

The Vampire Baddie, The Diva and The Queen City Killer close out our women’s tournament! The crowd is very PRO-Ravenna today, who catches Joy and Carter fighting over a backslide and nearly pins them both for the sudden win. Carter drops Vein on the floor and that sends a cackling Joy out to blindside Carter. High cross body for two! Joy landing knees until Ravenna renters the fray. Joy dodges  spear and Vein eats Clara’s knee. Carter starting to pick up steam but gets stomped down by an incessantly mouthy Corinne Joy. Vein back in and powerbombs them in a tower of doom! All three throwing shots from their knees as they show how much they want this. Ravenna landing shot after shot! Charging attacks in the corner. Bulldog to Joy! Carter makes the save! Carter and Joy put Vein in a double submission. What happens if she taps?!? Carter and Joy fight over the kill! Joy crumbles Clara in the corner. Exploder to Ravenna. Carter catches Joynwith a half and half for two! Joy sets up Clara and hits a frogsokash but overshoots a little and stands up into a spear from Ravenna! The Vampire Baddie wins it all!

The locker room spills out to slap the ring and cheer on the inaugural Futures Women’s tournament. Scott Hensley says they were able to have a women’s tournament in the first place because they’ve finally been able to build a women’s division in the last year…and Ravenna is the heart and soul of this movement. What a moment!
