7/15 AEW DYNAMITE REPORT

By Cory Strode on 2026-07-15 22:39:00

AEW Dynamite is live from the MGM Music Hall in Boston, MA. Our commentary team is Excalibur, Tony Schiavone, and Taz.

We start with a video package of last week’s show. Then we get a video from the Death Riders, who are training for their Tag Team Title match. They end with Jon Moxley telling Will Ospreay that the hard work is done; now he needs to finish the job because he earned this.

Adam Copeland and Christian Cage (AEW Tag Team Champions) vs. The Death Riders (Daniel Garcia and Wheeler Yuta)

Yuta and Cope start the match, and Cope gets an ankle pick to drop Yuta. Yuta tries for the same, but Cope resists and gets a side headlock. Yuta is able to grab an armbar. They run the ropes and get a big boot before tagging in Cage. Yuta tags in Garcia, who runs his mouth. They lock up, and Garcia grabs Cage’s arm, and Cage shoves him off. Garcia works them to the corner and refuses to break clean. Cage avoids a lock-up and mocks Garcia’s dance by flipping the bird.

Cage gets a back elbow and tags in Cope. They then get a double hip toss. Cope drops Garcia in the corner, and when he gets up, Cope batters him down again. Cope whips Garcia to the corner and has to fight off both Garcia and Yuta, who work over Cope. We then go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Cope has been the babyface in peril. Cope gets a powerslam on Garcia, and both men are down. Yuta gets the tag first and shoves Cope into a neutral corner. They both go to the top, and Cope bites Yuta. After Yuta drops to the mat, he then leaps over Yuta to tag Cage, who runs wild. Cage ends the run with a diving headbutt for two.

This sets off the tag team siren, and all four men are fighting in the ring. Cope and Garcia go over the top to the ramp. Cage takes off the top turnbuckle pad, but then Yuta gets a suplex on Cage for two. Garcia attacks Cage from behind. This allows Yuta and Garcia to get the endless splashes in the corner. As Yuta is trying to take off the turnbuckle pad, Cage gets a low blow on Garcia. This allows Cope to hit the Spear on Yuta when Cage pounces on Yuta, and Cage covers for the pin and the win.

Winners and still AEW Tag Team Champions: Cope and Cage

We see the Young Bucks in the stands, applauding Cope and Cage. Claudio and the Dogs, David Finlay and Clark Connors, all attack Cope and Cage, leaving them lying. The Bang Bang Gang run to the ring for the save, and we get everyone brawling around and inside the ring. Jay White takes the shillelagh from Finlay, and Finlay bails. Cage sees White with the club, and Cope explains to Cage what happened.

We then get a recap of Collision from Saturday.

They then show the Andrade El Idolo hype video from Saturday night before he has an interview with Renee Paquette. He says he wants to fight every member of the Don Callis Family to take all of their titles from them, and then he will become AEW World Champion. He then shows he has the Dynamite Diamond Ring that Will Ospreay took from MJF.

Renee is with the Conglomeration, and they are challenged by The Demand. As the Conglomeration are talking, the team of The Lethal Twist attack from behind.

Winner: Andrade El Idolo, and he has earned a shot at Mark Davis’s National Championship.

Davis comes to the stage and starts to charge, but Andrade shows the Dynamite Diamond Ring, and Davis stops and holds up the title.

We then get a video recap of how Kenny Omega won the world title from MJF last week.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring to introduce Kenny Omega for his championship celebration. Before he can say anything, the Young Bucks come to the ring. Matt says they have been friends for 20 years and they are proud of Omega. He says Omega wearing the MJF belt peeves them, so they brought him a NEW title belt.

Omega says it has been so long since he held the title, he was not sure he could do it again. He says the difference maker was his friends, family, and fans believing in him. He says that there are fewer than 50 days until Wembley Stadium. He says he still has work to do, but with everyone's belief, you will see the best version of Kenny Omega.

This brings out Will Ospreay. Ospreay greets everyone and asks if he can have a one-on-one conversation with Omega. The Bucks exit, stage left. He says it is good for Omega to be the AEW Champion again. He says Omega needed to believe in himself, and last week, Omega didn’t give up once. He says The Cleaner is back. He says one of the greatest to ever have done this is back.

He says as they get closer to Wembley, it is going to heat up, but for ten years, Omega has been his hero. He says he is locked in right now and he’s not happy being second. He then says every single week, they will be showing everyone why they are here and makes a Dragon Ball Z reference. Before they can shake hands, Kevin Knight comes to the stage and makes his way to the ring.

Knight says he doesn’t want to break up their love fest, but he wants to talk to Omega alone. Omega says Ospreay can stay. Knight says he congratulates Omega, but he is owed a title shot. He says Omega is a wrestling god, but he is a non-believer, and he challenges Omega for a match at Redemption.

Omega says he needs to get something off his chest, and Knight is asking him to hold him to a promise MJF made. He says he won’t do that, but he may give Knight a shot because he’s a nice guy. He then says that Knight is someone special and has IT. He puts over Knight, and then says Knight is hungry. But that’s where it ended because he joined the Don Callis Family.

He says Don Callis helped him hold the title the first time. He then says that no one believed in that version of Kenny Omega. Omega says Knight doesn’t need a guy like Don, and he is saying what Speedball believes, what Ospreay believes, and what the fans believe. He then says MJF wasn’t a fraud because he wrestled every week and he did what he said he would do, but Knight is a fraud because he’s with Don Callis.

Omega says if they fight at Redemption, it needs to be Kevin Knight, not Don Callis’s bitch. Knight says Omega is wrong, and there is no goodness left in his heart, only Greatness. He nails Omega with a mic, and Ospreay nails Knight with a Hidden Blade. Darby Allin appears from nowhere and attacks Knight, and Brian Cage breaks it up.

The Don Callis Family heads to the ring, and Omega and Ospreay are ready to face off. Then we get the Death Riders, who take the ring with Omega.

We then get a hype video for Jack Perry talking about re-signing with AEW, and he issues an open challenge for Collision on Saturday.

After the match, Kyle pulls at Komander’s mask, which brings out Konosuke Takeshita, who drops Kyle with a single right hand. He picks up the title belt, and as he talks to Kyle, Kazuchika Okada drops Takeshita. As Kyle and Okada pick up the title, Brodido hits the ring to take them both out, and Brody dives onto them.

In the back, Renee is with Kenny Omega, as he starts to talk about Kevin Knight. Darby Allin says next week he will beat the hell out of Knight. Jon Moxley says that Darby is right and some people are who they are.

Renee is on stage and brings out the Brawling Birds, Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor, who say they have been drinking, that England let them down in the World Cup, but they won’t let you down. They then leave to go get drunk.

We then get a promo from Jericho, who challenges Tommaso Ciampa at Redemption, and he will bring the Painmaker. Ciampa accepts in a promo of his own and issues an open challenge to anyone for Collision.

Darby Allin vs. Brian Cage

Renee is with Kevin Knight and tells him he will get a world title shot at Redemption. Don Callis interrupts and says he is smarter than Kenny Omega and everything Omega has ever had is because of him. Speedball Mike Bailey says that Kevin’s facade isn’t working. Knight starts to talk back, and Bailey leaves.

Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) and Mercedes Moné vs. Willow Nightingale, Maya World, and Hyan

The actual match starts at 8 after the hour.

Willow and Moné start, but Moné goes to the ropes as Willow charges. Moné goes to the corner, and both Kross and Megan tag in, and all six women are in the ring. Moné bails, and we get Maya and Hyan attacking Divine Dominion. Willow tags in and Kross whips her into the corner and stomps her down. Willow misses an enzuigiri.
