7/11 AEW COLLISION REPORT

AEW Collision is live from Berglund Center in Roanoke, VA. Our commentary team is Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness.

We start the show with a video recap of Kenny Omega winning the World Title on Wednesday night. Tony Schiavone is in the ring to interview Hangman Adam Page. Page talks about how he has spent his time off gardening and how it has been therapeutic. He discusses the physical therapy he has also been going through. He says that tonight he wants to plant one more seed.

He says that when he lost against MJF, he can’t challenge for the World Title again, and he will be a man of his word. He talks about the other championships that are open to him. If he can’t get the World Title, he will have to find something else to do.

We then get a video recap of the other big moments on Dynamite last Wednesday.

Bandido (Ring of Honor World Champion) vs. Katsuyori Shibata

They lock up, and Shibata forces them to the ropes for a clean break. They lock up again, and Shibata forces them to the ropes for another clean break. Bandido bows to Shibata, and they lock up again and move to waistlocks and arm bars. Shibata gets a waistlock takedown and grabs a side headlock. They return to waistlocks before moving to mat wrestling. Shibata gets an arm-based leg lock, and Bandido gets to the ropes for a break.

Shibata calls for a handshake and then kicks Bandido when he accepts. They trade running pump kicks in the corner, and Shibata is able to get the takedown for two. Bandido goes to the top for a frog splash onto Shibata. Bandido is whipped to the ropes, and he almost hits the ref, which allows Shibata to get a low blow. Shibata drops Bandido on the top rope and then kicks him to the floor, where we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Bandido gets to his feet after Shibata dominates through the break. They trade blows, and they knock each other down with spinning backfists. They roll to the apron and fight there. Shibata gets a DDT followed by a vertical suplex from the apron to the floor. Shibata rolls Bandido into the ring for a two-count. They trade chops and slaps. Bandido gets a pair of thrust kicks and then a gorilla press slam. Bandido goes to the top for a shooting star press for two.

Bandido tries for a GTS, but Shibata catches the leg and gets a running dropkick in the corner followed by a snap suplex for two. Bandido catches Shibata’s leg. He then gets a GTS and a 21 Plex, but Shibata holds onto the ropes and gets a roll-up for two. Bandido gets a hurricanrana and holds on for a two-count. They charge into each other over and over, but Shibata gets a running lariat on Bandido. Bandido gets a Pele kick, but Shibata gets a series of rabbit punches. Bandido catches the low blow and gets a surprise roll-up for the pin and the win.

In the back, Renee Paquette is with Hikaru Shida and Harley Cameron. Harley congratulates her, and Shida says she did it all by herself and Harley isn’t on her level. Harley says she has been fighting, even while Shida was gone. Shida reminds us that TBS stands for "The Best is Shida."

Lexi Nair is with Speedball Mike Bailey, and he says he let Don Callis get in his head, but he is laser-focused, and he will beat Mark Davis. He will show people you don’t need shortcuts.

Hikaru Shida (AEW TBS Champion) vs. Harley Cameron

Shida attacks Harley before the bell and then backs off. When the bell rings, Shida gets a suplex for two. Shida spins Harley into a slam. They run the ropes, and Harley gets a casadora and grabs a leg, but Shida kicks free. They fight on the apron through the ropes, with Shida always getting on the other side of the ropes until Harley gets Soul Food and dives onto Shida on the floor.

Harley gets a DDT on the floor. Shida crawls to the stage and attacks Harley when Harley follows her. Shida gets a running knee with Harley on the ramp as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, they are in the ring, and Harley gets a rolling neckbreaker and then gets a whole lot of blows in the corner before a sling blade off the ropes. Harley gets a Shining Wizard for two. Harley goes to the top, and Shida meets her there. Harley tries for a sunset bomb, but Shida holds onto the ropes and then bites Harley. Shida gets an enzuigiri. Harley catches the next kick and bites Shida’s leg. Harley gets a Falcon Arrow for two.

Harley grabs a half crab, and Shida grabs the leg of the ref, which pulls Shida to the ropes for the break. Shida gets a roll-up for two. Shida grabs an ankle lock, and Harley kicks her off. Harley gets an enzuigiri. Shida gets a running knee for a two-count. Shida gets a slam for two. Shida gets a mat-based bow and arrow, and Harley taps out.

Shida keeps beating down Harley after the win, but Queen Aminata runs to the ring for the save.

Lexi is with The Lethal Twist. Before they can say anything, Matt Sydal shows up, and then we get The Demand, who get in Sydal’s face. Ricochet says the next time they meet in the ring, he will show why he left Sydal behind. Ricochet asks if Sydal has anything else to say. He calls Ricochet bald and takes off.

Members of the Don Callis Family are applauding Kyle Fletcher for winning the International Championship. Kyle then goes over their upcoming matches. He then addresses Adam Page and how the Family has three titles that Page cannot take. And tonight, Brian Cage will destroy Zachary Wentz. Trent Beretta says that Darby Allin fears him.

We get a video package of the AEW Brawl in the Ballpark after last night’s Minnesota Twins game.

The Conglomeration members Orange Cassidy, Kyle O’Reilly, and Roderick Strong come to the ring. They say they are still Trios Champions, but someone else on their team wants to be a champion, and Willow Nightingale comes to the ring. She talks about how her shoulder injury made her drop her title and miss the Owen Hart Tournament. She then says if you think she was sitting at home crying about it, you don’t know her. She says when she was home, she was getting better, stronger, and more motivated. So, when she sees the Casino Gauntlet Match, she now has one more shot at the World Championship.

She says that while Thekla and Mercedes Moné attacked her, they made a big mistake. She says at Redemption, nothing is stopping her from taking the title from Thekla.

In the back, Skye Blue challenges the Divine Dominion and pushes her new catchphrase: She is a violent little thing.

Death Riders (Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, Daniel Garcia, and Wheeler Yuta) vs. Sky Flight (Darius and Dante Martin), AR Fox, and Komander

Darius and Garcia start the match. Garcia takes down Darius and does his "kicking dirt" taunt on him. Darius does the same but then does Garcia’s dance.

They trade takedowns and mat wrestle. They work to the corner, where Dante tags in.

Dante gets a standing shooting star press for two.

Fox tags in. He gets a twisting Falcon Arrow for two.

Mox tags in and forces Fox to the mat.

Fox gets a snapmare and tags in Komander. Claudio tags in.

They run the ropes, and Claudio turns a crossbody from Komander into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.

Yuta tags in. Komander kicks Claudio off the apron, and Yuta beats down Komander.

Komander gets a leaping hurricanrana on Claudio on the floor and then a flying crossbody on Yuta in the ring. Komander gets a tilt-a-whirl slam, which sets off the tag team alarm, and everyone is fighting as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Dante has been the babyface in peril through the break.

When Dante is tossed to the floor, it is time for dives, dives, and more dives.

Fox is tagged in and works over Garcia and Yuta. Fox gets loud cheers here.

Fox hits dives on Yuta and Garcia on the other side of the ring, then on Yuta again.

Fox goes to the top and hits a Swanton on Garcia, but Claudio grabs him for the Giant Swing.

This leads to each person taking out the last person in the ring.

Garcia and Yuta stomp down Dante in the ring, and Komander takes Dante’s place. After Garcia and Yuta take out Komander, Fox dives onto both of them for two.

Fox has to take the Death Riders’ endless charges into the corner.

Garcia grabs a Dragon Tamer on Fox. Mox hits the curb stomp, and Garcia gets the pin and the win.

Winner: The Death Riders

Mox grabs a mic and says it was too easy for them, and it’s Saturday night, and it’s hot and humid. He says no one can beat the Death Riders, and tonight they sharpened their weapons. It’s the Death Riders against the world.

In the back, The Divine Dominion says they are disgusted by the tag team division. They run down the Sisters of Sin and say to keep carrying Thekla’s bags because they will never hold the titles.

Thekla cuts a promo on Willow and Mercedes Moné. She says Willow pretends to be a baby, while Thekla is a woman.

We then go to the Bang Bang Gang, who have another parody commercial about the Dogs, where they give two dogs in a shelter a home while mocking David Finlay and Clark Connors.

Brian Cage w/Trent Beretta vs. Zachary Wentz w/Myron Reed

Cage’s head is still bandaged.

Wentz avoids chops from Cage while hitting his own. Cage finally stops a hurricanrana, and Wentz then kicks Cage to the floor and dives, but Cage catches him again. Wentz gets a series of kicks in from the apron and then a moonsault from the ropes onto Cage on the floor. Cage slams Wentz on the apron and then runs him into the ring steps. Cage suplexes Wentz from the apron into the ring, and we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Wentz gets a kick on Cage when he is on top and then hits a shotgun dropkick from the top. Wentz gets running elbows and then kicks. He gets a double stomp on Cage’s back and a spinning knee for two. Wentz gets a series of kicks and a leaping twisting cutter for two.

Cage hits a discus lariat and follows with a belly-to-back suplex into the ring. Cage hits the Drill Claw for the pin and the win.

Winner: Brian Cage

Trent grabs a mic and calls out Darby Allin, who supposedly isn’t here. Trent calls for the referee to call the match for him, and we hear Darby’s music. Darby comes from the back and charges into Trent. Darby then dives onto Trent. Cage gets into Darby’s face, which allows Trent to attack from behind, and it’s a match.

Trent Beretta w/Brian Cage vs. Darby Allin

Darby goes to the top for a Coffin Drop, and Trent knocks him off the top as Cage distracts Darby. Trent rolls Darby into the ring and covers for two. Darby gets a series of blows, but Trent gets a back body drop and a running knee for two. Trent puts Darby on top and joins him. They fight on top, and Darby gets a headbutt, knocking Trent to the mat. Darby gets a Coffin Drop on Cage on the floor.

Darby gets into the ring, and Trent gets a double stomp from the top as he does. Trent gets a Strong Zero on the apron and covers Darby for two. Darby is put on top, and Trent joins him there again. Darby hits a Cody Red from the top for two and then a Coffin Drop for the pin and the win.

Winner: Darby Allin

Brian Cage attacks immediately and gives Darby three powerbombs. Mark Davis runs to the ring to attack, but he is followed by Speedball Mike Bailey with a steel chair to run them off.

We then get a promo from Willow Nightingale, who brings out Maya World and says to bring Hyan for them to face Mercedes Moné and Divine Dominion on Wednesday.

We get a hype video for Andrade El Idolo.

Kyle Fletcher joins commentary.

Mark Davis (National Champion) vs. Speedball Mike Bailey

Bailey charges at Davis and tries a series of quick attacks. Davis gets a shoulder tackle and a two-count. Bailey keeps up the quick attacks, and Davis covers up. When Bailey charges, Davis pops him up and drops him across the top rope. Davis keeps Bailey down with kicks and blows and covers for two. Davis gets a Sharpshooter and bites Bailey’s feet. Davis inverts Bailey and runs Bailey into the turnbuckle and covers for two.

Davis misses a senton, and Bailey gets a series of kicks, including a shotgun dropkick from the top. Bailey keeps up the quick kicks. Davis goes to the top, and Bailey joins him there, and Bailey gets a hurricanrana from the top. Davis rolls to the floor, and Bailey gets a running moonsault from the ring to the floor. Bailey puts Davis on the announce table, and they fight there. Davis hits a piledriver on the announce table as we go to picture-in-picture.

When we return to full screen, Davis goes for a powerbomb, but Bailey gets a hurricanrana. Bailey gets a PK but misses a backflip. They go back and forth, and both men are down. Bailey is up first and gets kicks. Davis grabs a kick and then tries for a suplex, but Bailey lands on his feet. Davis misses a charge, and Bailey gets a kick and hits a 450 splash for two, and Davis grabs the bottom rope.

Bailey sets for a kick, but Jake Doyle runs to ringside and distracts Bailey. Davis gets a running lariat and follows with a Vertibreaker. Bailey ducks a clothesline and gets a roll-up for two. Bailey gets another roll-up for two. Bailey gets a spin kick for two. Bailey hits another spin kick and then misses the Ultimo Weapon from the top.

They move to the apron and go back and forth. Bailey misses a backflip knee drop on the apron, and Davis gets a scoop slam. Bailey gets a roll-up for two. Davis gets a lariat and follows with a piledriver for the pin and the win.
