Wrestling Open

7/9/26 Worcester, MA

Spotlight Match: Brett Mettro vs Georgio Lawrence

Big strong open from big strong Brett. Lawrence gets some shots in with his strong kicks. Brett rallies back and hits a F5 for the win. Good early crowd response for Mettro here.

Match 1: Bobby Casale vs Tyler Jordan

Bobby beats the heck out of Tyler but gets his foot caught in the ropes and Jordan gets to show off, despite the boos. Bobby kicks Jordan out of the air on a springboard and gets a tap out with a sleeper for the win in a quick hot matchup!

Post-Match, Bobby again addresses the “leave the ranch” chants. He says he’s staying loyal to the people who have been with him since day 1. Hmm.

Match 2: Nessa Ferrari vs Lauren St. James

Lauren comes in with the FIRE and thez presses Nessa down. These two are just brawling. Lauren with a rana for two! “She’s breaking my arm” yells Nessa as the titanium woman bears down on her. Nessa cuts it off with a dropkick in the corner and starts stomping. Nessa settles into the beatdown as Lauren goes back to the scrappy underdog role. st James survives a double knee pin. She reverses a superplex into a tornado ddt. Big rally of lariats. Lauren exposes the titanium arm! Nessa dodges the kill shot and slaps her! She goes for a suplex but Lauren rolls up up and gets the three! Considering the experience in the ring here, this was a good story told. Nessa is frustrated but pulls St James up and holds her arm up in a surprising show of respect.

Match 3: Brothers Greatness vs Brian Morris

Wonderboy thinks this is an easy night. He tells Greatness to get back to the commentary booth. And for a while, it looks like he might be right. But Greatness with a big rally and just about wraps this up…Dustin Waller appears on the stage to distract BG. Morris crotches Greatness on the top and hits an Angel’s Wings for the three.

Jake Gray is out here and wants to know where the hell BRG is. He’s not even here? Jake calls out Rex Lawless, the man that truly put him on his path to violence. Lawless is happy to bring this fight.

Match 4: Jake Gray vs Rex Lawless

We may not have weapons this time but Gray takes the fight right to Rex. Lawless eats it and goes right into beating the f*** out of Jake. This is exactly how this was gonna go. But Jake refuses to stay down. He’s making Lawless WORK. Rex goes for his big bomb…Jake pound on his skull and rolls down and secures the pin and the win! Rex is shocked!

Match 5: The Breadwinners (Cash McGuiness & Patrick Wheatman) vs The Haven (Shawn Knyte & Jay Onyx)

No disrespect to the Haven, but this SHOULD be a winnable match for Cash and Wheatman. However they are getting WHUPPED. Wheatman resorts to a blatant eyerake and the breadwinners take the beating to Onyx. Onyx with an epic dodge and he slingshots Wheatman up Cash’s butt. Tag to Knyte! Cash sent out. Wheatman eats a doomsday powerbomb for the win. So much for WINNABLE. lol. Onyx steals Cash’s necklace. We have a NEW WHITE BOY OF THE YEAR?!? The Haven AND the crowd loves this.

TJ Crawford is out here? He sure seems like he remembers winning against Brad Hollister last week. He seems to forget that he tapped out to Brad just before Hollister got controversially DQ’d. He thanks Hollister’s son for making him “fat & lazy” for their match. Hollister charges the ring and wants a No DQ rematch. TJ says he needs to EARN it. But he better not cheat so Crawford is gonna watch from commentary.

Match 6: Big Bacon Brad Hollister vs Devin Reno

Hollister can’t stop jawing at TJ across the room. He beats up Reno. He yells at TJ. But that split focus almost costs him. Bacon finally survives a Crawford distraction to destroy Reno with a jackhammer and get the win. This was all story but very fun. Reno is a really good emotive heel through all of this, even though he was kind of a tackling dummy in the context of this narrative.

Match 7: Dustin Waller vs Sammy Diaz

Diaz charges the ring. He has a bone to pick with what Dusty said about his father. Diaz is all heart but Dusty was the uncrowned winner of the Open title tournament for a reason. Both are wildly athletic but super tough. Diaz gets caught with but survives the lethal injection! He goes for a ddt on the apron but Brothers Greatness runs down to talk him down. Diaz fighting back! He tries an AA but Dusty reverses to an apron tombstone! Diaz kicks at the last second! Greatness tells Dusty to stop this sinning. He slap BG. In the chaos, Waller rolls up Diaz and pulls the tights for the three. UGGGGGH. Booooooo!

Main Event: Steven Stetson vs Danny Miles (Street Fight)

Danny takes out a ton of aggression on Stetson as they battle through the room. Stetson loses a chair duel. He’s looking to put him through a table here’s Brian Morris to make this a handicap match. Danny goes through the door. Morris and Stetson give Miles the lonnnng beating and hit a midnight special. Miles kicks out but this is alllll Stetson right now. He tries to bomb Miles through a pair of chairs but Miles backdrops him through it instead. Miles torpedoes out of the ropes to both of them! We got a barbed wire crutch! Morris with the blindside…he doesn’t want to touch this thing. Danny with an outside 619 and a springboard moonsault to the floor?!? Top rope splash for two! But here’s Morris again. He checks on Stetson and eats a German! Cannonballllll! Stetson hits the jersey lariat…and pulls the pin??? Stetson says he isn’t here to win, he’s here to kill Danny. He tries the lariat again but Miles hits a codebreaker! Danny crawls for the crouch but here comes Bobby Casale and he pulls it away. Bobby joins his crew and it’s looking three on one. Bobby kicks Morris’ head off!!!!!! Casale smiles at Stetson as Miles cracks him with the crutch. “I’m sticking with who believed in me from the start.” Those words ring true now! Bobby hits Morris with the Bobbinator! Danny hits the Dream Crusher. Bobby hands over the crutch and miles makes Stetson choke on it until he has to submit! Big pop for this! Bobby Casale has finally left the Stetson ranch!!!!!
