Spotlight Match: Devin Reno vs Brett Mettro
Devin bullies Mettro early. Brett with the rally back and nearly gets it with a an airplane spine Samoan drop. He goes for a powerbomb but Reno gets free and puts him away with a Baldbuster (Worcester has internally decided that’s the move’s name).
Match 1: Georgio Lawrence vs Handyman Jake Gray
Lawrence stunning Handyman with his stiff kicks, catching him out of the air on a coffin drop at one point. Gray keeps trying to get some space but Georgio keeps kicking him down. Jake blocks a slingshot and double stomps! He drops Georgio with a shotgun and a coffin drop gets the three! Little confusion on the finish but Jake definitely got this one.
Jake on the mic complains that BRG didn’t show up tonight to fight him. Next week, Jake promises SWEET VICTORY!
Match 2: Patrick Wheatman (w/ Cash McGuiness) vs CPA
Is Wheatman even old enough to pay taxes??? CPA going through his moveset and Wheatman can’t hang. Cash has to start getting involved to give him any chance. Wheatman catches a distracted CPA coming off the ropes with a flying headbutt. Cash keeps interfering and finally falls victim to the clip on tie. More confusion between the breadwinners and CPA rolls him up for the three!
The Breadwinners attack an exhausted CPA and here comes Armani Kayos to stop this and get into a match with Cash!
Match 3: Armani Kayos vs Cash McGuiness (w/ Patrick Wheatman)
Wheatman isn’t really ringside…he’s more dead in the entry way after Kayos plowed through him. Kayos gives Cash a lot of hip based offense but Wheatman recovers and suddenly Cash is winning again. Crazy! Kayos with a tarantula…Missed the kneesault…Cash with a blockbuster for two! Cash hits a sweet chin music that’s so ineffective that Kayos knocks his block off with a spin kick! Bronco buster! Rear view! Patrick on the apron. CPA pulls him down! Kayos hits a finlay roll and a moonsault for the win!
Match 4: Liamo vs Bobby Casale
Liamo is from Dublin Ireland. And we instantly dislike him. He has that Ricky Smokes grease to him. And he keeps taking selfie videos. Bobby doesn’t care and beats the tar out of him. Liamo does a good job countering Bobby and getting some good offense in. He is very unlikable. Bobby finally catching him with a sitout powerbomb for the win!
Match 5: Kylon King vs World Class Channing Thomas
I’ve been saying for weeks that Kylon has been in banger after banger. I expect this to be no different against his World Class opponent. This is a hell of a contest. Both guys go in on this, trading big moves and reversals throughout. Channing almost gets it after dodging a moonsault and hitting a European uppercut. Kyler has to grab the rope to stop the pin. Channing Thomas tries a powerbomb but king rakes the eyes and hits the kyledriver for the win. This was very good.
Match 6: Rain Conway vs Eye Black Jack
If Rain wins then Thomas Santell (BIOPro head trainer) has to declare Conway the greatest student BioPro has ever produced. The Ovaltine Dream himself is here! Rain gets under Jack’s skin and Coach Santell starts to give him hell for taking shortcuts. Meanwhile, this lets Conway catch Jack from Behind. Rain keeps control, almost getting the win with a perfect plex. Conway grabs the ankle and twists deep…EBJ won’t give it up. Jack tries for his uranage but Rain has done enough damage to that arm that it won’t fly. Jack finally hits an AA but whiffs the splash. Conway goes for the rainmaker but Jack gives it back! Conway WANTS this and keeps the beating on. He puts Jack in a deep single leg crab. Conway won’t let it go after the rope break and Santell hits the apron to berate him. Rain gets in his face but Santell goes over the ref with a punch and Jack hits the uranage…he collapses into the pin and gets the three! Santell celebrates with official greatest student, Eye Black Jack!
Match 7: Steven Stetson vs Danny Miles
The near final nail in the Stetson Ranch’s coffin is driven tonight as Danny Miles finally clashes with the top of the Ranch. They battle to the floor where Miles gets snake eyed into the post. “This is what you wanted!” Yells Stetson as he pummels Danny early. But Miles is a tank. He eats the pain and starts running over Steve. He hits his cannonball with Steve in the tree of woe! Danny with a suicide dive! He goes for the finish but Stetson low blows him for the DQ loss.
Stetson grabs a ranch shirt and tries to choke out Miles. Bobby Casale runs down to break it up. Stetson takes off but a winded Danny shoves Casale and gets shoved back to the ground. Casale says “you’re on your own” before joining Stetson back on the entryway. “Leave the ranch” says Worcester.
Main Event: Big Bacon Brad Hollister vs TJ Crawford
Bacon charges the ring! TJ with a stiff spin kick and screams “Welcome to the Takeover!”. Bacon with a tackle and sends Crawford to the floor. NOW it’s time to celebrate with Big Business’ shareholders. he smashes TJ’s legs around the post repeatedly. He tries to figure four him but Crawford pulls him into the post. TJ gets into the ring but Hollister just catches him and smashes a German. Hollister tries for the tornado jackhammer but Crawford sweeps him off of the buckles and PK’s his head off. Crawford can’t keep it rolling…Bacon with a jackhammer! Spin cycle slam! Senton! Crawford IS getting some shots in but Hollister is absolutely taking out a ton of aggression on his former stablemate. Muscle Buster for two!!! TJ finally hits a X factor but it’s definitely not enough. A silver bullet! Not enough. He’s getting frustrated for sure and that vicious side is coming out. TJ starts talking about the Takeover again but runs into a HUUUUUGE popup powerbomb and the tornado jackhammer! TJ kicks out but winds up in an ankle lock. Crawford pushes free and Bacon crashes into Ref Tiger, knocking him down. Crawford goes to blindside Bacon but he gets caught in the ankle lock again! Ref Tiger back to his feet as TJ taps out screaming. The bell rings but Ref Tiger has DQ’d BACON for striking him?!? TJ laughing as Bacon argues with Tiger. Worcester HATES this finish.
