RAJA JACKSON BEGINS JAIL SENTENCE FOR 2025 KNOKX PRO INCIDENT

By Mike Johnson on 2026-07-02 15:52:00

Raja Jackson, the son of MMA legend Quinton Jackson, was jailed today by The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department following a hearing.  Jacksonas part of his plea agreement with prosecutors over to the KNOKX Pro Wrestling incident in August 2025 that saw Jackson enter the ring and legitimately pummel independent wrestler Stewart Smith aka Syko Stu into unconsciousness and continue to beat him in the ring.  Jackson was arrested on 9/18/25 in Los Angeles.

Several months back. Jackson, 26, pleaded no contest to one felony count of battery with serious bodily injury and plead guilty to personal infliction of great bodily injury and engaging in violent conduct  As part of the plea deal, Jackson will serve 90 days in county jail; pay Stewart Smith restitution of $81,703.38; and serve two years probation.

In video footage that circulated online, the incident began before the show during what appeared to be a live stream that Jackson was running.  The footage showed Smith, who may have been in character, hitting Jackson and crushing a beer can against his head.  Jackson didn't respond as if it was a work and Smith stepped to him, asking him if he wasn't going to "sell that sh**" while someone else commented Jackson wasn't a worker.   The two were separated, but footage of them apologizing to each other and shaking hands was posted online.

During the Knokx Pro event, Jackson was sitting in the front row and hit the ring during Smith's match, grabbing him from behind and throwing him roughly to the mat.  Jackson then covered Smith and began raining down with legitimate punches, immediately connecting with Smith's jaw and face.  Smith was out cold, possibly right after being thrown and certainly once he began being hit.  Jackson threw in the area of 20-21 punches with most connecting before other wrestlers and security forced him off and into a corner.  Even after the first talent hit the ring, he continued to rain down and throw punches.  Jackson began pushing back but was later removed from the ring.

Smith was, according to reports, not conscious when he was taken to a nearby hospital.  There was a massive fear he was going to die that night, but Smith, despite a number of injuries, was later released from the hospital.  Smith later announced he was retiring from the ring.  We are told Smith was scheduled to speak at today's hearing.

Jackson had been streaming on a platform called KICK.  Prior to hitting the ring, he stated on the stream he was told by promoters to hit the ring and hit Smith and was going to hit him for real as many times as he could before being pulled off.  The KICK platform later banned Jackson.  Footage from after the incident shows Jackson walking in the street outside the event, ranting that he's not going to be taken advantage of and that people "are always playing with me bro.  I don't play that sh**. " before one of the wrestlers tried to talk sense into him.  The footage was brutal and was obviously not a work.

Rampage Jackson later stated his son was involved in a work that went wrong.

WWE removed KNOKX Pro from their WWE ID system as a result of the incident.
