RUMBLE, CAPRICE COLEMAN, SAVANNAH EVANS, DARIUS LOCKHART & MORE: 6/27 ASE 'THE WORLD IS YOURS' LIVE REPORT FROM CHARLOTTE, NC

By David Houston on 2026-06-29 08:15:00

ASE Wrestling was back in Blume Studios in the historic wrestling city of Charlotte, live on Youtube for "The World is Yours".

3 big scheduled title matches and a new top contender promised with the first ever gauntlet match in company history.

Edward R. Murrow and Emmy winner Chris Lea and former AEW star Big Swole on commentary and doing an excellent job.  Go79man held down the hosting and interviews, even doing a costume change from all yellow to all black like he was ASE's Beyonce.  Nadiah Hunter again with a phenomenal job of ring introductions.

"The Big Flexer" Alexis Littlefoot got a win in the pre-show over "The Ultra Violent" Leah Night in a spirited bout. Great upside for both women.

The Uglee Gang (Jordan Holt, Zay Vega) got a huge upset win, beating The Mane Event (Duke Davis, Ganon Jones Jr) for the ASE Men's Tag titles, avenging their loss from last October in the finals to crown the first champions.  Very good match. The MUCH larger veterans vs the never-say-die youngsters.  TME were accompanied by the henchmen of Pan Afrikan Diaspora champion Kaun.   When the henchmen tried to interfere, one of them revealed himself to be Kaun's rival Suge D, who took them out, opening the door for the Holt to get a deep O'Connor roll on Davis for the win.  This was Holt's second title win of the weekend (F1ght Club's Young Simba title in DC).

The henchmen attacked Suge after the teams had cleared the ring with Littlefoot and "The Problem" Isaiah Broner making the save.  Broner eloquently demands Kaun face them.  To the surprise of many, Kaun is in the building and in his working clothes.  He accepts and he wants both men so it's a 3 Way match for the Pan Afrikan Diaspora title with Littlefoot remaining ringside in support of her tag partner Suge.  Strong match. Kaun and Broner are heavy hitters with Suge a high level technician.  Suge caught Broner with a sunset flip after Isaiah had powerbombed Kaun for the win, making him a 2 time Pan Afrikan Diaspora champion, capping off a wild run back to the title that took a lot of detours.  Broner, again eloquently, wants a one on one match with Suge for the title. Suge is cool with that.

Heated in ring exchange between ASE Wrestling founder "The Intergalactic " Darius Lockhart and his long time friend, "The Business" Billy Dixon. Their pursuit of ASE Men's champion Darius Carter has had them at serious odds lately.   Hot angle. I'm sure it's the last time we see them just talking.   They're both going to be in the ASE 30 Man Rumble to determine a new top contender. Hm.

Darian Bengston hosted his Hold 4 Hold Challenge (no strikes). This time the challenger was a big one: Ring of Honor Pure champion Lee Moriarty.  Coming off the hot angle before, this was a good cooling down with very good wrestling and the shenanigans I've come to expect from Bengston in these, especially if Ms. Yolanda is the ref.  Both guys must have gotten frustrated and went for punches, both landing, both getting disqualified.  Moriarty added some heat to the fun by refusing a handshake (Code of Honor his taiga ass), shoulder checking Bengston on his way out of the ring. Run it back!!

"The Submission Sniper" Jordan Blade challenged "The Powerhouse" Charity King for the ASE Women's title, a rematch from King's win over Blade in the tournament semi final to crown King the first ever champion.  These two have great chemistry. Blade's strikes and submission technique vs King's awesome power.  Might have been even better than the first match but hometown monster, "The Cannibal" Savannah Evans must have heard some of the sneak disses King had been sending her way and stopped all these, attacking both women, causing a No Contest.  Evans levels King with her Full Nelson slam, which King sells like a mofo, even needed--but refusing (like a true babyface)--help up and to the back.

Following intermission, they hold the first ever 30-man ASE Rumble, a gauntlet match to crown the top contender to the Men's title.

Too much for me to break down. MLW star Labron Kozone and Movie Myk, making a welcomed return, were the first in and among the last out.  Khan O'Kelly made his debut, with a fun exchange with Ashton Starr.  The face off with St. Julious and Treveor Aeon should be the start of something.  Bojack was a monster. Love that guy.  "Remarkable" Ryan Rembrandt's elimination was a highlight.  As was the in-ring return after a decade long absence of Chris Lea, who moaned about his aching hamstring the rest of the night. That comeback was a grand opening/grand closing.  I'm guessing Alex Kane couldn't make it, so this worked in its own way.  Calvin Tankman returned.  This could have been a Labron Kozone/Firestar Pro Exhibit with so many of his proteges involved. They all showed out.  Treehouse Lee eliminated his brother Saieve al Sabah, who betrayed him at the previous show. al Sabah returned the favor, aiding in his brother's elimination so that's an issue that needs to be resolved. I bet their Juneteenth cookout was eventful.  Lockhart and Dixon did run into each other, and it was a fight. "The" Dontay Khalifah went on a tear, eliminating both of them, which did not stop their fighting on the floor.  In the end, it was "The Gifted One" Yahya, eliminating Khalifah, winning the Rumble.

In the main event, former ASE Wrestling Commissioner "The Ageless One" Caprice Coleman got a shot at the Men's title and champion "The Allfather" Darius Carter (with Ryan Rembrandt), who had been a pain in his backside his entire tenure as Commish.  Very good match.  The Uglee Gang, including Reyhan Inteus, who was still stinging that Coleman never granted him a title shot but gave himself one, came out to stop the interference from Rembrandt but too many bodies at ringside threw off Coleman, who was kicked into Inteus by Carter.  Inteus nearly getting into the ring and being held back by Holt and Vega got referee Nick Shin's attention. Carter got a low blow in and hit his Foreclosure Cobra Clutch face plant finisher for the win.

They close with Yahya facing off with the champ on the stage and it felt like Inteus and the Gang making good with Coleman.  Nope. Inteus is still hot, hitting a kick to Coleman and walking off, putting the Gang--to which Coleman's son, Chayce, is affiliated--in a bad spot.

To be continued!

ASE Wrestling tends to have good to very good shows. This one was great. Felt like everyone knew this was a big wrestling weekend and brought all their working boots even with the mics consistently trying to hijack the show.
