By Cory Strode on 2026-06-17 22:20:00

AEW Dynamite is live from The Smart Financial Centre in Sugar Land, TX. Our commentary team is Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Taz.

In the back, MJF is with the Don Callis Family and he goes over the people chasing his title. He says he doesn't like Kevin Knight but he respects him because he is willing to stab people in the back and he has the most talent in the company as he is staring at Kyle Fletcher. He dismisses Andrade El Idolo, and tells Will Ospreay isn’t the best in the world anymore. He mocks Swerve Strickland and tells him to swerve off a bridge. He says he has beaten Kenny Omega every time they have faced each other. He says the only reason anyone likes Mark Briscoe is because of his brother.

He brings up Hangman Adam Page and laughs.

MJF then tells Don to tell us who is in the team for Forbidden Door. Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, Jake Doyle, Kazuchika Okada, and finally Andrade El Idolo, who looks upset as he doesn’t want to work with MJF. Andrade says “Do you think I will join you?  How you know?”  MJF tells Don to talk to him. Don tells Andrade there’s a lot of money involved and he will get a title shot, but for now, do the match.

When Omega gets to the stage the Young Bucks and Jack Perry join him. Zack kicks the mic to Omega and he introduces them as TMDK and no one knows what it means.

Omega says they each have something the other wants, and wouldn't it look good on Zack’s resume it would look good for Zack to beat Omega, and Omega says it would look good on his resume. He says Zack may have friends, but he does too, so it will be one on one at the pay per view.

We then get a video recap of the feud between The Dogs and the Bang Bang Gang.

We then get a hype video for Maya World vs Athena for Saturday night on Collision.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring to interview Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland, who will face each other at Forbidden Door for the title shot at All In. Will comes out first and Tony points out Will got married over the weekend. Will says his wife told him to stay focused and to chase his dream. Swerve is out next and Prince Nana takes Tony’s mic and says his suit is too tight.  He hands the mic to Swerve who says it’s been almost a year and Will hasn’t spoken to him. Swerve says Will has changed.

Will says he hasn’t changed, but Swerve has and it’s how Swerve is looking at him and asks if they need to have a chat. Swerve says they fought together against the Death Riders and now Swerve is in booty boot camp with them. Will says he hasn’t forgotten what the Death Riders did to him, but he has to let it go to learn from them. He says the training is working. But the night the Death Riders snapped his neck, he didn’t see Swerve to save him. He can’t be that mad since Swerve’s knee got blown out that night.

He said at All In Texas, they teamed up and they needed to get the World Title back. Swerve ignored him. That night, Will ended up in the hospital, but he did not see Swerve come to help. He says Swerve wants redemption, but the title is his dream. Will talks about how much Wembley stadium means to him. He says Swerve is in the way of his dream and he knows Swerve won’t hesitate to end his dream, so he won’t hesitate to run through him.

Swerve talks about how they got behind Hangman Adam Page and how Page won't talk to either of them. He then says something that is censored, so it must have been some naughty words. He says he is done stepping aside for other people. He says every time they step in the ring, they raise the bar, but after ten years, he is always better than Will and he has never beaten Swerve.

Swerve says after he wins the title at All In, and will give Will a chance, and he will beat him again. Will punches Swerve and Nana gives a chain to Swerve. As they face off, the Death Riders come to the ring. They surround the ring and Swerve says that Will really has changed.

In the back, Lexi is with Jericho and he says on Collision, they should get into the ring and get serious, face to face.

We then see Garcia egging Will on and when Will grabs Garcia. Mox says people use words when they have nothing else and he cannot lose control or focus.

MJF and Briscoe are tagged in and Knight tries to attack from behind, but Briscoe takes him out.
