6/16 WWE NXT REPORT: THE SPEED TOURNAMENT BEGINS, NATTIE VS JAIDA, THE WRESTLES KNOW WHEN IMPROMPTU MATCHES ARE BEING MADE, WHO FACES MYLES, AND MORE

We take a look back at last week's show.

Women's North American Champion Zaria makes her way to the ring.

Zaria says she spent so long living in Sol's shadow.  Ironically, it felt like she forgot what the sun felt like.  After setting this women's division ablaze, you are looking at the new North American champion.  Unlike what you want to believe, she did it on her own.  She was overlooked and treated like an afterthought.  They talked about Lola Vice, Kendal Grey, and Tatum Paxley.  They always talked about Sol Ruca.  She is the one holding this championship and the future is in her hands.  This is not a dream come thrue, it is a course correction.  She does not owe anyone any gratitude.  It was obvious from the start.  She will never allow her name to be in the shadows . . . 

Kelani Jordan interrupts and she says as the first North American champion, she congratulates Zaria.  She says Zaria should thank her for making the title worthy of starting the show.

Kelani says she wouldn't mind a title match, but this isn't the title she is looking for.  She says she has some advice.  She tells Zaria to enjoy this because the ones who say 'you deserve it' will be turning on you within a week.  Even if you have the greatest title reign in history, they will overlook you.  Kelani tells Zaria to hold that title closely.  You might never get another title shot.

Kelani wonders how she is one and one with Kendal but Kendal gets the title match.  That will be an easy win for Lola because Kendal collapses when the lights are brightest.

Kendal Grey interrupts and she makes her way out.  

She says Kelani acts like they have unfinished business, but she beat her.  In two weeks, she has the Great American Bash.  Instead you will see her beat Lola to become the new NXT Women's champion.  If you find your way back in her path, the result will be the same as last week.

Zaria says there is someone making it about someone else besides the woman who will run the division for the foreseeable future.

Lola Vice interrupts and she makes her way to the ring.  

Lola asks Zaria if she said dominant.  You have been champion for a week, but get over Sol.  Lola tells Kelani to shut up.  Lola tells Kendal they haven't gotten to the Bash yet, and you act like the champion.

Kelani says she will talk a big game.

All four start yelling and Robert Stone comes out (MATCHCEPTION TIME)

Lola even knows the match that Stone is going to be made.

Stone says that is why we have the best women's division in wrestling.

Tavion Heights and Jackson Drake walk in the back.

We go to commercial.

Match Number One:  Tavion Heights versus Jackson Drake in a Number One Contenders Match for the North American Title

Tavion with a back body drop but Drake holds on for a sunset flip.  Tavion with a shoulder tackle and a slam.  Tavion rolls through and picks up Drake and he tosses him across the ring.  Tavion with a gutwrench suplex and he gets a near fall.  Tavion with an arm bar and Drake goes for a slam but he cannot get Tavion up.  Drake goes to the apron and he is brought back into the ring by Tavion while holding on to the arm bar.  Drake tries to escape but he is sent to the mat by Tavion.  Drake with a knee to escape.  Drake with a snap mare and he works on the neck.  Drake gets a near fall.  Tavion blocks a boot and Tavoin with a T-Bone suplex.  Tavion with shoulders in the corner.  Tavion with a back body drop.  Tavion kicks Brad away and he punches Ricky but that allows Drake to hit a distracted Tavion with a running knee.  Drake sends Tavion into the ring steps.  

Drake sends Tavion back into the ring and he stands on Tavion's hands.  Drake stomps on the hands.  Drake with a running back elbow to the back of the head for a near fall.  Drake with a knee drop.  Drake with a front face lock and hard Irish whip.  Drake kicks Tavion in the head.  Tavion with an Irish whip that sends Drake chest first into the turnbuckles followed by a German suplex for a near fall.  Tavion with a reverse chin lock.  Drake with a front face lock and he floats over into a bridge.  Tavion with a reversal and a Gator Roll.  Tavion gets a near fall.  Drake with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Drake with a drop toe hold into a front face lock.

Tavion with a reversal and Drake tries to run Tavion into the corner to escape but he fails.  Drake with a knee and a front face lock.  Tavion with a back body drop and he misses a clothesline.  Both men go for cross body presses at the same time and both go down.  Tavion with a clothesline and back elbow.  Tavion with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex followed by a cross body for a near fall.  Tavion with shoulders in the corner.  Drake floats over and gets a near fall with a rollup.  Drake floats over and he hits a handspring cutter and ashooting star press for a near fall.  Drake drop kicks Tavion to the floor.  Drake with a suicide dive.  Drake sends Tavion back into the ring and Drake goes up top but Tavion recovers and he hits an overhead belly-to-belly superplex.  Tavion goes to the turnbuckles and hits a frog splash for a near fall.

Tavion puts Drake on the turnbuckles and he sets for a superplex and Drake with punches to stop Tavion and he sends Tavion to the mat with a head butt.  Drake goes for a 450 but lands short so he can land on his feet and roll through.  Tavion sends Drake onto Brad and Ricky.  Myka gets on the apron and Ricky and Brad try to enter the ring but Myles pulls them to the floor.  Tavion with a belly-to-belly suplex for the three count.

Winner:  Tavion Heights

After the match, Myles raises Tavion's hand and Tavion pulls it down and he tells Myles he can do it by himself.

Robert Stone is with Rourke, Matthews, Hank and Tank to talk about the Mr. NXT pageant.

Birth Right enters and Lexis King says they are respecting them by putting Arianna in the Speed Tournament.

Channing tells them to leave while Hank and Tank suggest a match.

Stone wants Birth Right to leave.

Match Number Two:  Izzi Dame versus Thea Hail in a Speed Tournament First Round Match

Thea with a crucifix for a near fall.  Thea with a sunset flip for a near fall.  Izzi with a clothesline.  Thea with a knee and Izzi with a sit out face buster for a near fall.  Thea escapes a power bomb and Thea goes for a kimura but Izzi gets her foot on the ropes.  Izzi goes to the floor and Thea follows and she goes for the kimura again against the announce table.  Izzi runs Thea into the apron and kicks Thea.  They return to the ring.  Izzi misses a drop kick and Thea stomps on the hand and hits a drop kick.  Thea with a swinging neck breaker for a near fall.  Izzi gets a near fall.  Thea with a head butt and she goes for a springboard trust fall but misses when Izzi moves.  Izzi with a flying knee for the three count.

Winner:  Izzi Dame

Wren is in LOCKER ROOM talking about the participants in the Speed Tournament.  Kendal says she will take care of things like she did against Kelani.  Wren says she was holding Kendal back and Kendal says she isn't.  

Kendal asks Wren if she will be in her corner at the Bash but Wren mentions she has to defend her title on the show as well.  They say they will both be champions at Great American Bash.

Lola shows up and she asks if they said they would both be champions at Great American Bash.

They talk about the match and Lola says it won't be an accident next time.  

Wren says she is going to get officially cleared.

Tony D'Angelo walks towards a structure.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Narku is sitting at a table and Tony shows up.

Naraku bows and offers Tony a seat.

Tony says he is no fool.  He knows how these meetings go because he ran a few.  He wants to know why he is here.

Naraku says he has the contract for them to sign.

Tony says he sees through the nice guy persona.

Naraku says he doesn't know what Tony means.

Tony says he did his research and he found out how many titles he won.  He says that Naraku didn't do it by himself.

Naraku says not to judge him by his past.

Tony says that Naraku is a very evil man and he left for one reason.  He says history says Naraku can do a lot.  You won by any means necessary in Japan, not by the traditional means.  You came over here by yourself.  A man without his family.

Naraku says that Tony understands.

Tony says you think you can do it on your own at the Bash.  Tony says the title is staying with him.  He wants to sign the contract.  Tony says Naraku hasn't signed it.

Naraku says he will give Tony the signed contract next week.

Tony signs and he gives the contract back to Naraku.

Tony leaves.

Naraku says EVIL is coming and smiles.

We take a look at Nattie and Jaida Parker with a video package.

We go to commercial.

Robert Stone is on the phone and he talks about the tailgate before the Bash.

Keanu Carver shows up and he wants to know who his opponent is going to be.

EK Prosper enters and Stone tells him that he will face Keanu next week.

Keanu wants to face someone different.

EK says he won't be disrespected. 

Keanu tells EK he has a death wish.

Match Number Three:  Nattie versus Jaida Parker

Nattie swings at Jaida before the bell rings.

They lock up and Jaida backs Nattie into the corner and she gives a clean break.  Nattie pushes Jaida and then punches her in the corner.  Jaida pushes Nattie and Nattie with a double leg take down and punches.  Jaida turns Nattie over and punches her.  Jaida with a shoulder tackle and Nattie goes to the floor.  Nattie mockingly applauds Jaida's effort.  Jaida holds the ropes open fro Nattie and Nattie goes between the bottom and middle ropes.  Nattie slaps Jaida and Jaida slaps her back.  Nattie with a side head lock take down.  Nattie with a side head lock and a take down but Jaida goes for the arm but Nattie escapes.  Jaida with a waist lock.

Nattie with a back elbow and a side head lock take down.  Nattie with a double wrist lock and Jaida gets a near fall.  Jaida rolls through and Nattie blocks a pile driver.  Nattie with an ankle lock but Jaida escapes and applies a side head lock.  Nattie with a snap mare.  Jaida with a spinning heel kick when Nattie blocks a kick.  Jaida with a Border City Stretch but Nattie gets her foot on the ropes to force a break.  Nattie with a slingshot drop and a back heel kick.  Nattie slaps Jaida and Jaida with a punch.  Nattie with a kick and she sends Jaida to the apron.  Jaida with a knee and then Jaida sends Nattie to the floor.  Nattie trips Jaida on the apron.  Nattie misses a discus clothesline but both hit clotheslines at the same time on the floor.

The referee counts both women on the floor but Jaida returns to the ring.  Nattie gets back into the ring and Jaida with a kick to the back when she returns.  Jaida sends Nattie into the turnbuckles a few times.  Jaida with shoulders in the corner.  Nattie with a take down and a knee bar and kicks to the head.  Nattie slaps Jaida and Jaida slaps back.  Jaida rolls through but Nattie maintains the hold as Jaida tries to reverse.  Nattie goes for the Sharpshooter but Jaida kicks her away.  Nattie returns to the ankle lock.  Jaida rolls through and it sends Nattie into the ropes and Jaida gets a near fall.  Nattie with a clothesline.

Nattie paint brushes Jaida and then she argues with the referee.  Jaida with punches and Nattie with a forearm to the back.  Nattie with an abdominal stretch.  Jaida reverses the hold.  Nattie with a reversal.  Jaida with a hip toss.  Jaida with a forearm on the floor.  Jaida sends Nattie back into the ring and Nattie with a running forearm on the floor.  Nattie slaps Jaida on the floor and sends her back into the ring.  Nattie posses as she goes around the ring.  She returns to the ring and Nattie with a sleeper.  Nattie adds a body scissors.  Jaida escape and Jaida kicks the hamsttring and connects with a knee drop to the leg.  Jaida with an STF on Nattie.  Nattie gets to the ropes to force a break.

Natite blocks a kick and she sends Jaida face first to the mat.  Nattie goes for a surfboard.  Nattie releases the hold and she kicks Jaida in the back.  Nattie with forearms to the back and she snap mares Jaida into the ropes to add more damage to the leg.  Nattie drives the leg into the mat.  Nattie slaps Jaida and Jaida with punches.  Jaida with a suplex but she cannot do anything else due to the damage to the leg.  Jaida with back elbows and clotheslines.  Jaida with a boot to the chest.  Jaida puts the legs in the ropes and Jaida with forearms and a springboard seated splash to Nattie.  Jaida with a running hip strike for a near fall.  

Jaida with Rings of Saturn and Nattie with a rollup for a near fall.  Nattie goes for a Sharpshooter but Jaida with a forearm.  Jaida gets a near fall.  Nattie goes for a cross arm breaker.  Jaida counters with a rollup for a near fall.  Jaida with a running hip to Nattie and Nattie goes to the floor.  Jaida punches Nattie and Jaida tries to bring Nattie back into the ring but Nattie grabs the leg and hurts Jaida.  Jaida is sent into the ring steps.  Nattie sends Jaida back into the ring and Nattie with a kick and she tries for a suplex but Jaida with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Nattie with a discus clothesline and Sharpshooter.  Jaida tries to get to the ropes but Nattie pulls her into the center of the ring and Jaida has to tap out.

Winner:  Nattie

Lizzy and Mason walk in the back.

Tristan says someone is representing England properly.  He is still undefeated and he can call himself Mr. NXT.

Aaron asks if he can claim that.

Tristan says Shiloh is not cleared to wrestle so if Mr. NXT is not available so he accepts the title.

Tristan wants a title match and Aaron accepts the challenge.

Lizzy and Mason want Aaron to kick his ass.

Match Number Four:  Arianna Grace versus Layla Diggs in a Speed Tournament First Round Match

Grace misses a bicycle kick and Diggs gets a near fall with a rollup.  Diggs with a rollup for a near fall.  Grace sends Diggs into the turnbuckles.  Diggs is sent to the apron and she connects with a shoulder but Grace pushes Diggs off the apron.  Diggs with a shoulder and she flips into the ring.  Diggs with a sit out gourdbuster and a Shining Wizard for a near fall.  Grace with a forearm and a flying back elbow for a near fall.  Grace with an Irish whip and clothesline.  Grace with a suplex and a flying forearm for a near fall.  Dtggs with a back elbow and a second one.  Diggs with a back heel kick and a front kick followed by an enzuigiri.  Diggs with a matrix and a Pele Kick.

Diggs goes up top and Channing gets on the apron and Diggs kicks him.  Diggs with a moonsault onto King, Dempsey, and Uriah.  Grace with an inside cradle for the three count.

Winner:  Arianna Grace

Dorian, Sean, Ormo, and Noam are in the back and Sean asks Noam if he made the right decision. 

Noam says he wanted to get back on track by himself but Romeo is persistent.  

Romeo says their styles blending together felt better.  

Noam says he found his partner.

Sean says that him and Dorian are also a team and he says they need opponents.

Dorian suggests the Culling.

Tate Wilder says he has a lot to show about how hard things hit.  He shows his broken pinkie.  You cannot grow if you cannot tae risks.  With risks come consequences.  He is winless, but he has come close.  He says the win is coming.  

There is a Tailgate and Watch Party at 6PM before the Great American Bash.

In addition to the three title matches, Saquon Shugars faces Dion Lennox.

We go to NXT Chronicle for Saquon.

He says he has been called every name in the book.  He says he ain't no gangsta.  He is from Southeast DC.  He says he saw things no kid should see.  His grandma told him never to trust anybody.  That is why he hustled his way.  Cutler is walking around not knowing what day it is.  He talks about what he did to Osiris' leg.  It does not matter what they have in their head, it does not match his heart.  There were three people who came crawling into his sport and they needed him.

They were on top of the world.  Anything he could have asked for, he got it from them.  They always took a piece of him.  He says it was the dumbest mistake of his life.  You made the dumbest decision of your life.  This is what he does.  He doesn't have to do it here any more.  He says he is not going back.  He says he is shooting the ones with Dion at Great American Bash.  He says he will show everyone that he is up next.

Dion is in the back and he tells Saquon we will see who made the mistake.  He says he will see him next week.

Next week, Aaron Rourke defends the Evolve title against Tristan Angels.  Hank Walker and Tank Ledger will face Birth Right.  We will have a double contract signing for the World title matches.

Match Number Five:  Kelani Jordan and Zaria versus Kendal Grey and Lola Vice

Lola and Jordan start things off and Lola with a full nelson.  Jordan with a rollup for a near fall.  Lola with a back elbow and she dances. Lola misses a round kick and so does Jordan.  Jordan with an O'Connor roll and gets a near fall.  Lola with a waist lock take down and Grey tags in and hits a slingshot double stomp for a near fall.  Grey with a front faace lock.  Jordan misses a round kick and Grey flips away from Jordan.  Grey and Jordan with reversals on hip tosses.  Jordan lands on her feet on a fireman's carry.  Grey with a drop kick and Zaria tags in.

Lola tags in.  They lock up and Zaria sends Lola to the mat.  Lola with kicks to Zaria.  Zaria with a shoulder tackle and she goes for a slam but Lola escapes.  Lola with a punch to the midsection and then she chops Zaria.  Lola goes for a slingshot move but Zaria catches Lola and hits a belly-to-back suplex.  Grey tags in and she applies a front face lock.  Grey springboards over Zaria.  Grey with a drop kick.  Zaria gets Grey up and Grey escapes.  Zaria with a kick in the corner and Jordan with a cannonball off the apron onto Grey.  Zaria sends Grey into the ring and runs her into the corner and connects with shoulders.  Zaria with a hard Irish whip.  Zaria with a forearm to the back and then he pulls Grey up for an elevated rear naked choke on the turnbuckles.  Zaria with a hard Irish whip and Jordan tags in.  Zaria with a clothesline and Jordan gets a near fall.

Jordan goes for a suplex but Grey blocks it and gets an inside cradle for a near fall.  Jordan with forearms and a rear chin lock.  Grey with a jaw breaker and they each miss round kicks but connect with forearms and flying hair take downs. Grey with a forearm and Jordan fires back.  Grey with a kick and Jordan with a kick and forearm to the back.  Jordan with an Irish whip and Grey with a baseball slide to Zaria.  Lola tags in and she kicks Jordan and hits spinning heel kicks.  Lola with Naomi kicks but she misses the round kick.  Lola with a running hip strike into the corner.  Zaria tags in and Lola with a running hip.  Zaria with a boot to Lola.  Lola with kicks and Zaria with a clothesline.  Jordan tags in and she hits a frog splash for a near fall.  Jordan with an arm bar but Lola counters into a cross arm breaker but Jordan locks her hands.  Jordan gets a near fall.

Jordan with a thrust kick.  Grey tags in and she hits a belly-to-belly throw.  Grey with a German suplex and a second one.  Jordan blocks a third one.  Jordan with an accordion slam and she goes for a split legged moonsault but Grey with a forearm to stop her.  Grey goes for a belly-to-back superplex but Jordan lands on her feet.  Zaria with a spear and she connects with a forearm to Lola.  Grey with a Fujiwara arm bar after escaping an F5.  Grey turns it into a cross arm breaker.  Zaria with a one arm sit out power bomb for a near fall.  Jordan and Lola with bicycle kicks at the same time and they are down.

Grey with a spinning back elbow.  Lola tags in and Zaria with a thrust kick and she goes for a power bomb but Lola blocks it.  Lola escapes another attempt and Lola with a guillotine.  Grey with an ankle lock on Jordan.  Jordan sends Grey to the floor and Zaria runs Lola into the corner.  Zaria hits the ring post when she goes for a shoulder in the corner.  Jordan with an Asai Moonsault on Grey.  Lola with a seated splash.  Zaria with a spear.  Tatum Paxley distracts Zaria and Lola with a back heel kick and a spinning back fist for the three count.

Winners:  Kendal Grey and Lola Vice

After the match, Tatum with a cross body off the ringside barrier to Zaria.  

Officials come out to separate them.

Lola does the official hold up the belt pose but Jordan grabs the belt.  Grey pulls the belt away from Jordan and she hits Lola with it.
