I’ve gotta say, these afternoon shows are just great for me.  I’ll never object to the earlier time slot.

I am with you 100 percent.  When I come back east I miss the 5 p.m. start times.  They are great.

Onto the show.

1.  Oba Femi comes back strong;  He beat the shit out of everyone tonight, and addressed Lesnar afterwards.  For folks that didn’t like him losing Sunday, I thought this was the best way to have him bounce back.  I don’t think the loss will hurt if he keeps smashing people and ultimately retires Brock at SS.

He was a monster on Monday, for sure.  A guy that big usually can’t move the way that he does.  He’s special.  I still don’t love him taking the loss to Brock but what’s done is done.  He had better beat Lesnar convincingly when they meet again.

2.  Women’s QOTR match;  The right person won, but I found the match had a lot of standing around with people carefully getting themselves into position for the next big spot.  It just seemed very contrived to me.  And poor Giulia;  I thought Vince was booking when the hometown person takes the loss.  Thoughts?

That is often a problem with multi-person matches, waiting around for the next big spot.  For people who like things to look believable it hurts the match.  The flip side is that I expect these kinds of bouts to go that way so I am not surprised when they do.

When I saw the four women announced, I knew Guilia wouldn’t win.  I kind of figured she would take the fall as well.  It’s a shame but of the four, she was the obvious one to lose since she hasn’t been booked very strongly.

3.  LA Knight seems to be on an eventual collision course with Roman Reigns.  But, with how the Bloodline is being positioned, will they try to still paint them as babyfaces?  Knight is bang on not wanting history to repeat itself, but does creative need to tweak things significantly to avoid him getting booed if this progresses?

Knight is telling the truth.  The announcers are still acting like The Bloodline are faces.  I really hope that they start booking them like faces.  It’s so odd.

4.  Main Event:  awesome match, and it included what I felt was the appropriate amount of bells and whistles if Bron was losing.  I loved the nod to the Bret/Goldberg spear spot from Nitro 27 years ago in Toronto.  I was actually in the arena for that one!

Those two had a great match.  And then following it with the battle of the Grande Americanos, which was awesome, made for a great hour of wrestling on Netflix.

Do you think Seth moves on here, or is he still in the Vision Vortex?

I really think that Breakker needs to get the final win in this one.  Seth doesn’t need it and Bron does.  The finish of this one leads me to believe that they aren’t done yet.  Breakker’s character should not let their feud end like that.

And I’d be remiss if I didn’t once again acknowledge the great crowd.  They were hot all weekend.

They sure were!
