AAA star Octagon suffered a neck injury during last night's Noche de los Grandes as part of the taping for next week while taking a swinging DDT. The word making the rounds today is that while he was hurt and stretchered from the ring, he is expected to make a recovery, but will likely be out of action a few months. The best to him as he recovers.
The trailer for the Street Fighter film featuring Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns and NJPW's Hirooki Goto was in heavy rotation the last few weeks, playing before The Mandalorian & Grogu and a lot of other major releases. The film will be released on 10/16.
WWE Hall of Famer Tony Atlas, 72, captured the ISPW Tri-State Championship last night in Wallington, NJ as part of a tag bout where he teamed with Mr. Joe Clean to take on defending champion "The A Player" Anthony and "The Assistant" Angel Reyez in a match where the belt was on the line should Anthony be pinned. Atlas will defend the title at ISPW Legends of Wrestling Night at the Wildwoods Convention Center in Wildwood, NJ on Thursday 7/23 with Ted DiBiase Sr., Brutus Beefcake, Ken Shamrock, The Powers of Pain, Dan Severn, The Head Bangers, Jillian Hall, and more scheduled.
Former WWE Co-President George Barrios' memoir will be released officially Tuesday.
The International Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame will be open to the public before the WWE Smackdown taping at the MVP Arena, where the Hall and its Museum are housed on 7/17.
