WHAT IF JACOB FATU CAN’T GO TONIGHT, GUNTHER’S AWESOME PROMO, NICE TO SEE CHELSEA GREEN GET A CHANCE TO SHOW WHAT SHE CAN DO AND MORE

Not much to say about Smackdown today.  OK show with some storyline progression, nothing that really stood out.

The one thing that stood out to me was the crowd.  They were great.  I also liked that they are letting Chelsea Green show what she can do.  She’s great at her character, but she can really wrestle as well.

1.  Gunther’s last words to Cody were great.  He listed all the guys that he showed the door, and everything he said was true, which is not often the case with heels.  So, the question is;  does Cody shut him up or does Gunther just add him to the list and take the title?

Gunther’s promo was awesome.  Cody’s response was great too.  I could make the case to have either guy win.  That’s what makes it so much fun!

2.  I thought the count out finish with Saints/Hayes made sense.  I wasn’t keen on either guy taking a loss.  You?

I wondered how they would do that.  Saints couldn’t eat another loss at this point and still seem credible and Melo shouldn’t lose either.  I was fine with the finish.  There doesn’t always have to be a winner when stories are being told.

3.  As much as I don’t want to see it, it seems more and more to me that Royce Keys is going to wind up aligned with Solo.  Am I off base?  I can’t put my finger on it, it’s just a feeling.

I really hope that doesn’t happen.  Royce works better as a tough face, with a relatable story.  Plus, Solo’s group has been stuck in the mud for a while now.  Why burden Royce with that?  If Jacob Fatu can’t go tonight, I would put Royce in the spot and have him take on Roman for his friend after having Roman bad mouth Fatu for not showing up.  I would say that would cement him as a face, but the whole Roman-Jacob booking is so backward who knows!

4.  Sami Zayn;  still doing a slow burn here, I see.  Would you rather see him go heel, or have a moment where he realizes he’s being a knob and straighten up?  If it’s the latter, it sure would undo all the groundwork they’ve laid the last while.

I want him to do a full turn.  If he walks it back from here he will be boring.  I think he needs to be a delusional heel who thinks he is in the right when he’s really being a baby.
