FORMER WWE STAR JOE HENNIG AKA CURTIS AXEL ARRESTED

Former WWE star Joseph Hennig aka Curtis Axel, 46, was arrested in Anoka County, Minnesota on 5/17, PWInsider.com can confirm.

Hennig, a third-generation star, was charged with DUI, listed as Third-Degree Driving While Impaired, refusal to submit to chemical test (Breath or test refusal or failure), Obstructing the Legal Process-Lawful Execution Legal Process, having an open bottle of alcohol in his car and failure to stop after an accident to property that did not involve injury.'

Court records indicate Hennig was released from jail in 5/19.

Hennig departed WWE in 2020 and has only wrestled once since, an independent event in 2025.
