ETHAN PAGE MAKES AN IMPRESSION, THREE VETERANS WERE MADE TO LOOK LIKE DOPES, THE TAG BELTS AND MORE

Hope you enjoyed the show.  Overall I thought it was really solid.  

1.  Hot crowd, and they really made the show better.  They were into everything, all night.  Do you recall the last time they ran that arena ?  Maybe if there was a long absence the crowd was happy to have them back in town?

I don’t recall when they ran it last so yes, it’s been a while, for sure.  The crowd was great, for sure.

2.  I was a little surprised with zero title changes, I was expecting at least one.  Did you have any in mind before the show?

I really didn’t.  SNME is kind of a throwaway event now that WWE has taken the PLEs off of Peacock.  I think it’s really just an extra TV show with a little more build up at this point.

3.  6 woman tag:  Really well worked, but I thought the babyface love fest that led to the loss a little silly and ill-timed.  Why would you stop beating the hell out of your opponents when you’ve got major issues with them? Rhetorical, I know.  With Jade getting the pin on Rhea, do you see that as a pre-cursor to her winning the title back, or the more common trope of the challenger standing strong and the champ retains.  

I thought that moment was ridiculous.  Three veterans forgot that they were having a match?  I get that they were going for the visual and all, but it made the women look like saps.  I didn’t like that at all.  If Jade wins the Title after beating Rhea twice, it makes the current champ look bad.  I don’t think that’s a good look, especially after booking her like a dope at SNME.

4.  The old school guy in me loved seeing a tag title match main eventing a show.  I see no reason that can’t happen more often with good booking.  Do you think this is a start by the company to really increase the focus of the tag division?

I think that they have done a solid job of focusing on the tag division already.  I think that given the rest of the card, it made sense for the belts to main event that show.  If there was a top title match?  They would have probably been in the semi-main.

5.  Ethan Page had an outstanding outing, and this was a good example to me of someone looking really strong in defeat.  I think they can go back to that match anytime they want.  Thoughts?

Page is great, he really is.  He is so good at his character and he can go in the ring.  I have to think that they have big plans for him, and they should.  They can absolutely run that one back, for sure.
