5/22 NJPW BEST OF SUPER JUNIOR RESULTS FROM OSAKA, JAPAN

1 - Gedo and Taiji Ishimori vs. Taisei Nakahara and Tatsuya Matsumoto

Ishimori forces Nakahara to submit to a Bone Lock.

2 - Masatora Yasuda and Daisuke Sasaki vs. Zane Jay and Jakob Austin Young

Young hits Jakob's Ladder on Yasuda and gets the pin.

3 - Tiger Mask, Toru Yano and YOH vs. Hartley Jackson, Ryohei Oiwa and Robbie Eagles

Oiwa forces Tiger Mask to tap out with a reverse single leg Boston Crab.

4 - Hyo, KUSHIDA and El Desperado vs. Dick Togo, Yoshinobu Kanemaru and SHO

Togo tries to steal Hyo's stuffed leopard.   KUSHIDA punches the leopard into Togo's face.   KUSHIDA gets the pin on Togo with a Hammerlock cradle.   

Hyo was upset at KUSHIDA for punching the leopard. 

Best of the Super Jr. 33 - A Block Matches:

5 - Daiki Nagai vs. Nick Wayne

Nagai goes for a flying headbutt, but Wayne hits a Cutter, followed by Wayne's World.    Wayne pins Nagai.

Nick Wayne has 6 points.

Daiki Nagai has 0 points.

6 - Ryusuke Taguchi vs. Titan

Titan forces Taguchi to tap out to Llave Inmortal.

Titan has 10 points.

Ryusuke Taguchi has 6 points.

7 - Valiente Jr. vs. Francesco Akira

Akira hits Crown Fall on Valiente and gets the pin.

Francesco Akira has 4 points.

Valiente Jr. has 2 points.

8 - Robbie X vs. Jun Kasai

Another big chant for Kasai from this Osaka crowd.    He is a draw for New Japan.   

Kasai takes the match into the crowd.  Robbie takes out Kasai with a running cannonball.   Robbie starts throwing chairs in the ring.    Robbie throws Kasai in the ring, and tries for a springboard attack.   Kasai throws a chair into Robbie's head as he comes off the top rope.    Kasai bites Robbie's head and they continue to brawl and trade strikes.   Kasai pulls out a fork and the referee tries to stop him.   The referee takes a bump.   Kasai hits Robbie in the head with a fork twice.   Kasai hits a sit down Tiger Driver.  Two count.  Kasai sets up a ladder in the ring.   Robbie goes for an X Express off the ladder, but misses.   Kasai hits a lariat.  They fight to the top of the ladder.  Kasai hits a headbutt and Robbie falls to the mat.   Kasai hits a Pearl Harbor Splash off the ladder.    Very cool spot.

But no referee to count.  The referee sees the ladder and gets it out of the ring.   They trade strikes.    Kasai hits a running lariat.  Kasai kisses Robbie and hits a Tiger Driver.    Kasai pins Robbie.

Jun Kasai has 6 points.

Robbie X has 4 points.

9 - Master Wato vs. Kosei Fujita

Solid match.   Fujita works on Wato's leg.   Wato fights back with strikes.   He applies Vendaval on Fujita.  Rope break.  They hammer each other with strikes.  Fujita hits a German.   Two count.  Fujita applies an arm submission. Rope break.   Fujita with another German.   Two count.  Wato hits a Tenzan Tombstone Driver.  Two count.  Fujita hits Recientemente of his own.   Two count.  Wato escapes the Thrill Ride and hits a huge lariat.    Wato hits Recientemente.  Two count.    Wato hits the Tsutenkaku German.   Wato pins Fujita.

Maste Wato has 6 points.

Kosei Fujita has 4 points.

Despite having only 4 points, Fujita is having solid matches in the main event position on this tour.    He is a work horse and making his opponents look good in the process.
