OBA-DOM, TIFFANY LOSING STREAM, DIDN’T LIKE THE KEYS LOSS AND MORE

Hope you’re enjoying the start of the weekend.  I thought SD was pretty solid.

1.  Women’s QOTR 4-Way;  SO MUCH better than its RAW counterpart, night & day.  Even some of the early sequences that had to be timed just right went really smoothly.  I think the right lady went over, but I was still surprised.  I find the usual approach when they have the one powerhouse is that they get ganged up on and taken out which allows someone else to win, or someone steals the win from them at the last second.  She certainly took her share of abuse, but she won convincingly.  I hope they continue pushing her, she’s starting to blossom as a character.  Did you enjoy the match?

I have liked Raquel going back to her NXT days.  She is really good and can be booked like a monster because she is big and talented.  I like that she won and is moving on.  It adds to the drama within her group.  I like that Raquel took offense to what Liv said about how she would win the tourney, not Rodriguez.  I hope those two face off in the final.

2.  Women’s Tag Match:  Again, nice result as Michin would have been the fall girl 6-7 months ago, but not now.  Do you feel Tiffany Stratton has lost a little of her shine?  She was left off WM, and nothing wrong with being US Champ, but it seems off to me.  

I think she has, for sure.  She was white hot last year and now seems to have been bumped down a slot this year.  Jade is still in the Title picture so I get why she went over, but it was kind of surprising seeing the US champ take the fall.

3.  Royce Keys/Talla Tonga;  decent big man match, but I felt both guys really couldn’t afford a loss.  Nothing against Tonga, but do you think a loss like this might define Keys down a little, even though it was a distraction finish?  

I didn’t like that Keys lost either.  I think it was too soon, even with the distractions that he had to deal with.  I get that HHH is trying to tell a “deeper story” but I didn’t like that finish a bit.

And I know Priest doesn’t trust Keys, but he hates the MFTS.  How about getting some to avenge Truth a little?

Agreed.  Priest is coming off like a dick here.  I wouldn’t blame Keys for smacking the crap out of him.  Priest doesn’t have to trust Keys, but he has helped his partner so he should respect that, especially when they have a common enemy.

4.  That was a great pop for Chad Gable;  he more than deserves a serious main event level push.  I hope they give it to him.  One of the best pure athletes on the roster.  

It was.  I thought he came out of the mask match as a face.  He was booked that way last night. I hope he continues his amends tour and gets a shot at the top of the card.  He’s a great character and amazing in the ring.

5.  Men’s KOTR;  well worked, and Dom squeaking away with a win is always a sure fire heat generator.  And he’s against Oba next week, correct?  That is must see television with two great elements at play;  people love seeing a bad ass smash people, and they equally love seeing a little weasel as the one getting smashed.  Are you looking forward to it? 

I really want to see how they present it.  Unless Brock Lesnar gets involved, Oba should destroy Dom, even if there is Judgment Day hijinx.  He destroyed three men on Raw.  One Dom shouldn’t be an issue.  But yes, I am looking forward to it to see what antics Dom pulls.  He’s a fun guy to watch.
