NEW DAY'S RELEASE, COULD THEY BE AT ALL IN: LONDON?, PITCHING WWE AND MORE

By Mike Johnson on 2026-05-15 10:01:00

I am just blown away by The New Day being released by WWE. Kofi in particular has been one of the company's best and most loyal workers for literally two decades, and he and Woods are released just like that? No fanfare, nothing? I know that cuts are common in WWE, but this one feels especially egregious.

Yes, just like that.  No fanfare.

The 90 day no-compete clauses for The New Day and the previous group of cuts (Wyatt Sicks, Kairi Sane, etc.) will end well before All In this summer. Odds of any of them showing up in London?

That would be about whether AEW came to terms with them and then had the time to get an international work visa sorted.

Who from these most recent WWE cuts is most like to pull a Matt Cardona and excel on the indies?

I think it all depends on which talent ends up the most driven.  It's hard to predict until they hit the scene.

When TNA announced their full schedule for 2026, I noticed that TNA+ specials were not noted. Is this part of the new strategy to mainly focusing on TV & Pay-Per-Views?

I believe it was likely a case of those specials were not yet announced, but we will see.

I randomly made my first t-shirt design using chat GPT today. I would like to share this with WWE.   With understanding I don't own these images or likeness, this is fan art,and don't want compensation...will WWE accept this on these terms??

WWE does not take unsolicited ideas or suggestions from anyone. Hollywood Studios have the same rules. They do not want to get sued later on for someone claiming intellectual property.

Whatever happened to Queeen of the Ring being released on Blu-Ray?

It was postponed but is coming this July.
