LUCHA STAR ROGERLIO 'CUATRERO' REYES SENTENCED TO OVER 12 YEARS IN PRISON FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AGAINST STEPHANIE VAQUER

By Mike Johnson on 2026-05-12 13:49:00

Luchador Rogelio “Cuatrero” Reyes has officially been sentenced following his conviction in the attempted femicide and domestic violence case involving WWE star Stephanie Vaquer.

According to The Record in Mexico, Cuatrero received a sentence of 12 years and 8 months in prison after being found guilty on charges connected to an incident involving Vaquer in March 2023 in Mexico City, well before she signed with WWE. The sentencing hearing took place today.

Cuatrero, the son of lucha legend Cien Caras, had been in custody for roughly two years during the legal proceedings, with that time expected to count toward the overall sentence.   There remains a possibility Cuatrero could seek a reduction in time served through good behavior provisions under Mexican law. Reports indicate he would need to complete at least half of the sentence before becoming eligible for that type of benefit. If approved, and with credit for time already served, he could potentially be released in a little over five years.

Vaquer publicly revealed Cuatrero's crimes in 2023, leading to his arrest.  She signed with WWE in July 2024.  She has not publicly commented on the conviction.
