5/6 AEW COLLISION COVERAGE

By Mike Johnson on 2026-05-06 22:01:00

Welcome to PWInsider.com's live, ongoing coverage of AEW Collision, live on TBS from North Charleston, South Carolina.

I am filling in for Cory Strode this week.

The broadcast open with Sting entering the ring to celebrate AEW Champion Darby Allin's victory over Kevin Knight, raising each man's arm.   Knight and Alln shook hands and showed each other respect.

Allin was left in the ring, but as he started to exit, MJF's music hit and he came out with a mic.  He said that he doesn't know if it's worse he's in the Carolinas or that Allin's reign is continuing.  He said no one wants to see Allin as the champion anymore.  He said it's been cute but it's time to give MJF the rematch he's owed.  Allin said that if Max wants a rematch, he has to put something on the line.  MJF said of he wants to barter, Max will put his scarf on the line.  Max offers the Dynamite Diamond Ring.  Darby turns it down.   Max offered a cool $1 million.  Darby said he used to live in his car under a bridge.  Max's money is no good to him.  He wants something Max is desperate to have.  He said he wants what Max flew to Turkey to have sewed into his head - his hair.  Allin said there will be a contract signing next week for title vs. hair and if Max doesn't show up, he's never ever getting his championship match.  Allin asked what he says but Max just walked off.

AEW International Champion Kazuchika Okada came to the ring.  He challenged Darby to face him at Dynamite for the AEW title.  Allin accepted.

Backstage, AEW's doctor said Will Ospreay went to Japan and competed even though AEW hadn't cleared him.  They checked him out this week and he's actually in better shape so next week, if he improves again, they will clear him.  Ospreay told Renee Paquette he's not a member of the Death Riders and never will be, but will do what he has to in order to get to where he wants to be.

AR Fox vs. Speedball Mike Bailey

Lots of back and forth grappling early.  Fox is sent to the floor but trips Bailey on the apron.  Bailey comes back and hits a twisting springboard moonsault to the floor.    Bailey hits a missile dropkick as they go to commercial.    When they returned, they battled over a suplex.  Fox nailed a corkscrew brainbuster but Bailey rolled out of the ring to the floor.  Fox hit a big flip dive to the outside.  Fox worked over Bailey but missed a move.  Bailey nailed Ultima Weapon off the ropes and scored the pin.

Your winner, AR FOX!

AEW TBS Champion Willow Nightingale said that today of all days, it means the world to represent TBS and the legacy of Turner.  She said she's won nine title defenses and said whoever wants it, to step up.    Nightingale always does a great job.

Backstage, Pac said Darby's win was very impressive.  He warned Allin not to forget about him.  He said they are 2-1 in singles competition in Pac's favor, so he wants a shot.  He dared Allin to fight him for the title.  He said Pac is the mountain Allin will never conquer.    He dared Darby prove him wrong.

Jamie Hayter vs. Skye Blue

They battled back and forth.  Skye caught Jamie with a boot to the side of the head.  Blue scored a near fall.  She attempted a Dragon Sleeper.  They battled to the floor, where Hater was drilled face-first on the apron.  Skye sent her into the barricade as they went to commercial.  They battled back and forth when they returned.  Skye went for Code Blue but Hayter avoided the pinfall.  Hayter drilled Skye into the corner, then drove her shoulder into the mid-section over and over.  Blue escaped and ddilled a superkick.  Blue went for a powerbomb but Hayter held on.  They battled on the ropes.  Hayter clotheslined her off the top into the ring woth Hayteraid, crashing down atop of her for the pin.

Your winner, Jamie Hayter!

AEW Women's Champion Thekla and Julia Hart watched from the crowd.  Hayter laid out Skye again and dared them to enter.

They announced Darby vs. Pac for the title on AEW Fairway to Hell this Saturday on TBS.

Backstage, The Don Callis Family were assembled.  Don Callis predicted Mark Davis would beat Jack Perry for the National title this Saturday.  He said Okada has staked his claim to the AEW title and everyone should be afraid.  Konosuke Takeshita said that Okada should be worried about defending the title against him.  Callis said Okada is his handpicked champion.  Andrade asked, "How you know?" and walked away.

Rush vs. Manny Lo

Taz said he should be Manny Go and get out of here.  That was funny.  Rush pummeled him and scored the pin.

Your winner, Rush!

They aired a Jack Perry vignette.  He said he's beaten Mark Davis before and will again as Perry climbed a mountain.  He said he was the top of the mountain and "if you don't lke that, f*** you."

Claudio Castagnoli & Daniel Garcia & Wheeler Yuta & David Finlay & Clark Connoers vs. The Young Bucks & Ace Austin & The Gunn Club

Everyone battled in the ring.  Team Bucks cleared the ring.  Matt hit a rana on Claudio.  The Bucks hit a dive on Claudio.  Austin went for a dive but was tripped by Garcia.  Connors speared Austin through the ropes.  The Bucks tried to work over Yuta but Claudio intercepted.  This allowed Team Death Riders to attack and work over The Gunns as they went to commercial.  When they returned, Austin Gunn was being worked over.  Claudio hit the big swing but the Bucks broke up the pinfall.  Everyone battled.  The Bucks hit a BTE Trigger on Finlay. Yuta broke up the pinfall attempt.  The Bucks and Austin hit Yuta with a triple superkick. The Bucks hit stereo dives on Connors and Castagnoli. Austin hit The Fold on Yuta and scored the pin.

Your winners, The Young Bucks & Ace Austin & The Gunn Club!
