5/2 HOUSE OF GLORY RESULTS FROM LOS ANGELES, CA

By David Houston on 2026-05-03 09:40:00

House of Glory continued their West Coast swing (they were in Vegas on Apr 16) with HOG Glory at the Globe in the Globe Theater in Los Angeles, live on TrillerTV.

This is maybe my 3rd show at the Globe and it might be a good venue to watch wrestling but it's horrible to watch wrestling on TV.  I've yet to see one promotion--from HoG to New Japan--light it well

HoG Commissioner Jason Solomon and top heel manager Dr. Hillary P. Wisdom on commentary. Good team. Sam Leterna looked great holding down ring intros.

AEW star "Speedball" Mike Bailey defeated the legendary Amazing Red in a great opener with the Flamingo Driver.

Young star Brittnee Brooks lost a good match to former AEW Women's World champion Thunder Rosa.

5150 (Danny Limelight Rivera, Slice Boogie) got a win in their rematch over 3 time former HoG Tag champions Mane Event (Jay Lyons, Midas Black). It was a good match but the big news was Black walking out on Lyons, leaving him alone against the former Major League Wrestling World tag champs.

Joe Alonzo won a 6 Way match over "Turbo" Phumi Nkuta (who won his first HoG 6 Way at the Vegas event), New Japan Academy graduate Jovanissi, JJ Doze, Legacy Pro stars Onyx Amagi and Payne (managed by Dr. Hillary P. Wisdom).  Alonzo is one of the great heels working the indies. This was a fast paced, athletic match with Alonzo winning with a low kick to Doze. HA!!

"5 Star" Raymond Bright came up short in his challenge for the Cruiserweight title and champion "The Infamous" Darren Richardson (really developing into a great heel).
Bright is a promising young star. Very athletic and has a lot of charisma but has a lot of wasted motion and flash.   I liked the finish where that flash came back to bite him as Richardson blew the stars he brought into the ring into his face before hitting his twisting neckbreaker finish.  Another good match. Strong show, so far.

"The Main One" Zilla Fatu not only retained the Crown Jewel title but settled his family feud with Lance Anoa'i. Good Hoss fight with them exchanging ranas to start the match off to the surprise of literally everyone before just throwing bombs.  Fatu won, hitting his Super Samoan Spike on Anoa'i as he went for a crossbody off the top.
Once it was all over, Hug of Honor adhered.

House of Glory Heavyweight champion "The Root of All Evil" Charles Mason defeated former Ring of Honor World champion "The Octopus" Jonathan Gresham to retain his title.
Match got a lot of time and was very good.  Gresham threw in some clever shenanigans to go with his high level technical wrestling and some high flying maneuvers in his first HoG match in 10 yrs.  Another great finish with Mason beating Gresham clean with his Reign of Terror rear naked choke finish.

The quarters are very close so I thought that would limit the out of the ring action (thought or hoped) but it didn't so there was a lot of falling on people's laps.  Not a dud on the show and no wasted time except for an intermission.
