Wrestling Open
4/30/26 Worcester, MA
Spotlight Match: Erik Chacha vs Oxx Adams
We’ve seen this before I think but Chacha does a better job taking the fight to big Oxx. But…in this case, it is the size of the dog in the fight and Oxx is f***ing huge. After a good little scrap, Oxx pops up Chacha and hits a Samoan drop for the three.
Match 1: Joseph Alexander vs Dustin Waller
This is a strong opponent to put against Waller while he’s in the Open title tournament in Cranston. A-Game can hang at Waller’s pace but this Dustin really just wants to slow things down. Both guys are smart and take out the knee of their opponent. This becomes a battle of attrition . A sudden Spanish fly can’t get the win for Dusty. He tries a hop to the top but his knee betrays him. a-Game going hard but his knee gives out too. Dustin with the lethal injection and a butterfly ddt for the win. This ruled.
Dustin on the mic. He doesn’t care that it was awesome. He cares about wins. And he’s coming to knock Corey Duke out of the title tournament on Monday.
Match 2: Liviyah vs Nessa Ferrari
Nessa bullies Liv for a while….but Liv comes back and drops her with a ddt for the three.
Steven Stetson is out here to talk smack at Danny Miles and Bobby Casale. He just kept talking and I lost the plot a little but I THINK he said they are fighting the Residency next week? Maybe?
Match 3: The Residency (Rex Lawless & Nick Robles) vs Waves & Curls (Traevon Jordan & Jaelyn Brandyn)
This is exactly what you’d expect out of two tag teams of larger/smaller guys. Robles is definitely coming into his own as a reliable quick worker, especially when RJ isn’t here. Waves & Curls take it right to the residency…Rex gets dumped out and it’s down to Jaelyn and Robles…Nick reverses Brandyn and locks in a bridging pin for a upset victory over the heavy favorites. This was fun.
Match 4: BRG (w/ Oxx Adams) vs Chico Adams (Beat the Clock Challenge)
I saw a video of Chico getting a pep talk from Dungeon trainer Nattie Neidhart today. BRG thinks this is gonna be an instant victory…Chico gives BRG wayyyyyyyyyyy more than he expected. Bewilderingly, Brett is wrestling a good chunk of this with no urgency to the time. Oxx looking worried as Chico takes
Him to the limit. Brett finally lands a piledriver and gets the three in a very NOT QUICK 7 1/2 minutes.
Match 5: Pedro Dones (w/ BRG & Oxx Adams) vs Rain Conway (Beat the Clock Challenge)
Rain comes down and gases up Simply the Best to stay on his corner for this one. It really serves to let us watch Brett be miserable and beg Rain to do SOMETHING while Dones runs him over. Rain manages to send Dones to the floor and here’s a plan in action as Oxx smashes Pedro while Conway yells at Ref bill. Rain manages to drag this out to a minute remaining. Dones is on a roll but Oxx grabs Rain and carries him across the room. The clock runs out and Dones loses the challenge!
BRG reveals the stipulation of his match with Pedro. It’s no-DQ…and if Pedro loses, he’s gone from Open FOREVER!
Match 6: Tyree Taylor vs Ray Jaz
Taylor has a huge receipt to give Raymond Jaz. The big man gives Ray some pain but the Jersey Legend digs deep into his grappling arsenal to bring Taylor to the ground repeatedly and try to twist him up. It’s clearly having an effect, Taylor is breathing hard as Jaz drops a leg from the top. He starts overwhelming Tyree with punches. This is looks BAD. Taylor finally reverses something and rocks Raynwith a head kicks. Huuuuuuge uranage to Jaz. He gets the throat…Ray tries to drag him down again. Discus lariat! Ray kicks out again. Tyre tries a Samoan drop…Jaz reverses to a crucifix bomb for two! Crowd is loving this clash. Ray is going for a DVD?!? No. Taylor scoops him up and kills him with the Brooklyn Zoo bomb for the three! Fantastic match!
Main Event: The Vibe (Mani Ariez & Sammy Diaz w/ ) vs Christian Darling & Tyler Jordan (Worcester Street Fight)
Both teams try to kill each other with chairs, crutches and kendo sticks. It’s an exactly the chaos you’d expect from that and Worcester loves it. The real turn happens when Darling & Jordan manages to isolate Mani and duct tape him to the corner. It’s bad news as they rain kendo stick shots down on him and then make him watch as they pummel and torture Sammy. They really want to take Diaz’s knee out. Mani finally rips himself free and unloads kendo shots. Jordan survives a fireman’s carry neckbreaker. Mani goes for a door but darling DDT’s him into the apron! Jordan kicks Sammy low! He kicks out! They set up the door and want a crucifix powerbomb into it…Mani makes the save and spears Darling into the door! Sammy returns the favor and kicks Jordan low…Michanoku driver into a chair. Sammy gets the win! Wiiiiiiild main event brawl to close us out!
