We begin with a look back at Wrestlemania.
Danhausen drives up to Trick Williams and his entourage.
Jacob Fatu makes his way to the ring.
Fatu says on Monday he told Roman he wanted him. Monday he told Roman he don't want that title, but he needs that title. Then Roman looked me in the eye and said I was not ready. The truth is that Roman is right. He has never been ready is what he has heard his entire life. To break it all down, you say he is not ready. Step into this ring and prove it.
Jimmy and Jey Uso make their way to the ring.
Jimmy says they heard what you said on Monday. You can have all that and more. You want that title. QB1 was on the field and he fumbled. He tells Fatu not to come at Roman. You'll eat, you'll learn, and you will level up. He tells Fatu to run the play with him and join the family.
Jimmy says none of these fools are going to give you the lifestyle.
Jey says the problem is that it is too late for all of that. You stepped up. You opened your mouth. You in the deep end now. We gonna see if you can swim. You want respect from Roman, walk right up to him, look him in the eye, and get ready for war. He will bring it to you.
Solo Sikoa's music interrupts.
Solo asks if he is hearing this. He says they are lying to him. Where were they two years ago when no one wanted you? I brought you into WWE.
Are you going to teach Fatu how to Yeet? He tells Fatu not to listen to them. You want to beat Roman? You want to be champion? He says he can do it for him. You won't be able to beat Roman on your own, you will need an army. He has an army.
Tama Tonga takes the mic from Solo.
He asks why are they wasting their time with this? Fatu is a lost cause. You think he is going to beat Roman? He can't even beat you.
Fatu with a super kick to Tama.
Fatu says the only one he should be talking to now is Roman Reigns. To keep it 100, you think I can't beat you? Line it all up. Me versus you, tonight.
Cathy Kelley is with Giulia and Kiana James.
She asks Giulia if she feels pressure. Giulia says this is not Wrestlemania. Kiana says they are both upset at the lack of respect. Her negotiation skills could not deal with that oversight. They will take care of Tiffany. Giulia says she has beaten Tiffany before and she will do it again. Kiana yells at Cathy for making things so tense between them.
Match Number One: Tiffany Stratton versus Giulia for the Women's United States Championship
They lock up and Tiffany floats over a few times and Tiffany with back handsprings and a clothesline for a near fall. Giulia with an inside cradle for a near fall. Giulia with a take down and crucifix for a near fall. They go back and forth with near falls. Guilia blocks the cartwheel Alabama Slam into a neck breaker for a near fall. Giulia with head butts. Gulia kicks Tiffany in the head and Tiffany gets Giulia up and hits a Finlay slam but Giulia crotches Tiffany on a Prettiest Moonsault Ever. Gulia with a drop kick to Tiffany in the tree of woe. Giulia with a hanging neck breaker to Tiffany. Giulia with knees and she sends Tiffany back into the ring. Giulia with a boot to the back and she chokes Tiffany in the ropes. Giulia with a chop and she sends Tiffany face first into the mat. Giulia Set for a curb stomp and connects. Giulia with a near fall.
Giulia stretches Tiffany in the ropes and hits a drop kick to the back for a near fall. Tiffany with a forearm and Irish whip but she misses a splash. Giulia with a kick to the back and she gets a near fall. Giulia with a rear chin lock. Both women take the other down to the mat by the hair. Tiffany with forearms and a clothesline or two. Tiffany with a handspring back elbow into the corner. Tiffany with a handspring cutter for a near fall. Tiffany goes up top and Giulia punches Tiffany to stop her. Giulia sets for a butterfly superplex and she hits it. Giulia gets a near fall. Giulia with a head butt and Tiffany escapes a slam. Kiana tries to trip Tiffany and Tiffany grabs Kiana. Giulia hits Kiana when Tiffany moves. Tiffany with a rollup for a near fall. Tiffany with the Finlay Slam and she goes for Prettiest Moonsault Ever and she catches Tiffany and applies Rings of Saturn. Tiffany with a rollup for a near fall.
Tiffany with forearms and a knee. Tiffany misses the double stomp and Giulia gets a near fall. Giulia with a running knee and she sets for the Norhern Lights Bomb but Tiffany escapes and hits an Alabama Slam. Tiffany goes up top and hits the Prettiest Moonsault Ever for the three count.
Winner: Tiffany Stratton (new champion)
We take a look at what happened with Miz and Danhausen at Wrestlemania.
Danhausen appeared at Miz' house earlier this week.
Miz wants to know what he is doing here and Danhausen says he is cursing the house.
Danhausen shows up in Miz' pool.
We go to commercial.
Cathy is with Tiffany on the stage and she congratulates her on her win.
Tiffany says it is so amazing to be champion again. She had a run of being the runner up, but no longer. She is now the US Champion.
Tiffany says she will that WWE runs on Tiffy time.
Brie Bella makes her way to the ring along with Paige.
Brie says it feels incredible to be in the ring as champions. Wrestlemania was special. Even though she could not compete next to her sister, she hopes Nikki comes back soon. She was happy to call a friend that she calls a sister. She welcomes Paige back.
Paige says she's back and she asks if they missed her. She says she lost her voice but it was a hell of a week. When Brie called her to have her back, what a wonderful way to come home. She says she is so proud to be back with Brie. Now they are the tag team champions. It was a rough road to get here but she is proud to be back home. They were in the ring with some of the best competitors, but Smackdown is her house.
They aren't going anywhere.
Charlotte Flair's music plays and she comes out with Alexa Bliss.
Flair says it is good to see Paige back. Alexa says it is good even though Paige pinned her. Flair says they have what her and Alexa want. Alexa says they are not going to let a Wrestlemania moment get in the way. Flair says if you want to prove this is your house . . . there is no better way than to face them.
Paige says she is down if Brie is down. Brie says she is down and that they do it tonight.
Match Number Two: Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss versus Brie Bella and Paige for the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships
The match is joined in progress and Brie with a knee to Alexa followed by a neck breaker. Brie with a sunset flip but Alexa rolls through and hits a drop kick. Flair tags in and she chops Brie. Paige is drawn in by Flair but Flair and Alexa do not take advantage. Flair with a fallaway slam and Brie kicks Flair. Brie with a back elbow and Flair with a kick in the comer. Flair misses a knee drop to the leg in the ropes. Flair keeps Brie from making the tag but Brie with an enzuigiri. Jacy Jayne pulls Paige off the apron and into the ring steps.
The referee calls for the bell.
Winners: Paige and Alexa Bliss (by disqualification) [retain championships]
After the match, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid join in the attack. Jacy kicks Paige to the floor and Lainey and Fallon with a double Ragnarok to Alexa.
Royce Keys says he doesn't want to let people down while we hear comments from East Palo Alto talking about how important it is for him to succeed in WWE.
Royce says sometimes it feels like nobody is watching but everybody is watching. Now is his time to give back. Royce says he has people depending on him and he isn't slowing down.
Cody Rhodes makes his way to the ring.
Cody asks what do they want to talk about.
Cody says he wants to talk about how he left Wrestlemania, not as champion, but battered half conscious and bloody. He made the decision to walk up the ramp. That is the job of a WWE Champion. HE always gets back up. The moment you see him take that side ramp, or 'loser's lane', you know it is over. Since Arlington it has been one better than the next. He wanted to come out on Monday and send a message to Randy Orton.
Randy is not here tonight. Randy started him out in this sport and taught him everything. He wanted Randy to know he gave Cody his best and he is standing there. He wanted to send a message to a sarcastic and condescending Sami Zayn who called him the golden boy. Cody says he wore gold to show that he would be gold. The most important message he wanted to send was to the outside forces who interjected into his plans. You are 0-3 so send your best or count your money and mind your own business.
This is the first Smackdown after Wrestlemania, and as the man who holds the richest prize, he is not the hunter. It is easy to find him. Whether you are from NXT, Raw, or Smackdown he is the WWE Champion. He is easy to find, but hard to beat.
We take a look back at what happened during the tag title match.
Solo and his painted brothers are in the back. He says it is real simple. He wants JC and Tama get the tag titles back.
Loa asks about Jacob and Solo says he will teach Jacob a lesson and that without them, he can't beat Roman.
Match Number Three: Damian Priest and R Truth versus Tama Tonga and JC Mateo for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships
Truth and Tama start things off. Tama with punches and kicks. Truth with kicks and punches. Tama with an elbow to the top of the head. Truth with a flying shoulder tackle and Tama with a drop kick. Tama misses a leaping elbow drop and Priest tags in. Priest with punches to Tama but Tama with an Irish whip. Priest with a jumping forearm to Tama and a kick to JC. Priest with a flying elbow into the corner. Priest signals for the rebound clothesline but JC distracts Priest. JC hits Priest and Tama with a forearm. Tama with a clothesline on the floor. JC and Tama with a double head butt to Priest. JC with forearms to the back and he chokes Priest in the ropes. Loa hits Priest in the ropes. JC with a back elbow and punch followed by a clothesline and a standing moonsault for a near fall.
JC with a standing slam and he tags in Tama for a slingshot senton and Tama makes some noises. Tama with a forearm to Priest and he tags in JC. They hit a double jackhammer for a near fall. JC gets another near fall. JC kicks Priest in the corner. Tama tags in and applies a reverse chin lock. Priest with punches. Tama with a clothesline and JC tags in. JC runs Priest into the corner and Tama with a splash. JC with a drop kick and he gets a near fall. Priest with a forearm to JC and Tama. JC with a forearm but Priest with a clothesline and both are down. Truth tags in and he hits the two flying shoulder tackles and a Blue Thunder Bomb. Truth sets for the five knuckle shuffle and hits it. Truth goes for the Death Valley Driver but JC escapes and Loa distracts Truth. Tama with a swinging reverse neck breaker while Loa distracts the referee. JC with a German suplex for a near fall.
Priest is sent to the floor. JC runs Truth into the turnbuckles and Tama misses a splash and hits the ring post. JC with a forearm and Priest gs iand they hit a flap jack and DDT combination for the three count.
Winners: R Truth and Damian Priest (retain championship)
We take a look at more of Danhausen at Miz's house.
Danhusen hits Miz in the groin with a golf club and he takes a Slammy.
Maryse sees Danhausen as he leaves the house and Miz throws chocolate at Danhausen but misses and hits Maryse
We go to commercial.
We are back and Trick Williams makes his way to the ring with Lil Yachty and 'Gingerbread Man'.
Trick says he thinks the people are excited to celebrate with the new US Champion. We were just at Wrestlemania. They were all there. They weren't there to gamble or drink. He asks Dallas (sic) to tell what happened.
Yachty says he is not going anywhere. They say that they run Smackdown. Yachty says the open challenge is over.
Trick says if you want a hand out, find a clinic. If you want an invitation, find a wedding.
Yachty makes it rain and pyro goes off.
The Gingerbread man hits Trick with his candy cane and then he does the same to Yachty.
The head comes off and it is Sami Zayn.
Sami punches Yachty and then he punches Trick. Trick gets up in the corner and Sami with a Helluva Kick before he leaves the ring.
Cathy asks Royce about winning last week.
Royce says the last few weeks have been emotional. He debuted and he followed up by winning the Andre the Giant Battle Royal. He is just getting started and he takes what he wants.
Solo Sikoa shows up and he congratulates Royce on winning and he says the big man is not happy but he got the night off.
Match Number Four: Danhausen versus Miz
Kit grabs the Slammy and Danhausen with a cross body and a head scissors take down. Miz goes to the floor. Kit gets on the apron to distract Danhausen and Miz hits Danhausen from behind. Miz with kicks. While Miz celebrates with Kit, Danhausen sits up and he curses Miz and Kit. Pyro goes off and Danhausen with a rollup for the three count.
Winner: Danhausen
Danhausen tries to use the smoke to leave but it doesn't work that well. Miz chases Danhausen but he avoids Miz and Miz bumps into Kit. Danhausen drives away.
We go to commercial.
Blake Monroe is who you have been waiting for. The Glamour will probably punch you in the face. She is the reason for the spotlight. She is coming soon.
Rhea Ripley makes her way to the ring as the Smackdown Women's Champion.
Rhea says your Mami is finally champion again. At Wrestlemania, Jade proved to her that she could go. Now it is her time to prove that the WWE Women's Champion is a fighting champion. She knows there are plenty in the back who want their chance. If someone wants to step to her, now is their shot.
Jacy Jayne makes her way to the riding with Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid.
Jacy says they get it. You're the star and the champion. She says she will be the first one to give Rhea credit that she had a big win at Wrestlemania. Jacy says these people want to know who to give credit to. Give her, Fallon, and Lainey credit for taking out your little legends tonight.
Rhea says she saw what they did earlier. Taking out that many legends is quite impressive, but stop while you're ahead.
Fallon says thanks but no thanks. What they did is nothing compared to what they are going to do to you.
Lainey says you can put the blame on them too.
Rhea laughs and she says she thought Jade was cocky. She has been used to the numbers game against her and that really doesn't matter. If you want a fight, then she is ready for a fight. Take your shot.
Jacy tells Rhea that she will learn is that they are always ready to throw hands.
Nick Aldis comes out and he says he likes the idea. He was thinking of a punishment for what they did and it is in the ring. You are going to face Rhea Ripley.
Match Number Five: Rhea Ripley versus Jacy Jayne in a Non Title Match
They lock up and Rhea sends Jacy face first into the mat. Rhea waves to Jacy. Jacy wants a Greco Roman Knuckle Lock but she toys with Rhea. Rhea blocks a kick and Jacy escapes a slam attempt and applies a side head lock. Rhea avoids a clothesline and connects with a shoulder tackle. Jacy with a waist lock and Rhea blocks an O'Connor Rool. Jacy with a punch but Rhea blocks an Irish whip and Jacy with a head scissors take down. Rhea catches Jacy in the corner but Jacy counters a half and half into a snap mare. Rhea punches Jacy off the apron and goes for a drop kick through teh ropes but Jacy moves. Rhea avoids a kick from the apron and Rhea with a face plant from an electric chair position onto the apron.
Jacy uses the distraction from Lainey and Fallon to kick Rhea. Jacy with a forearm for a near fall. Jacy chokes Rhea in the ropes. Jacy sends Rhea into the turnbuckles and she kicks and chokes Rhea. Jacy wth a cannonball for a near fall. Jacy misses a chop and Rhea with forearms and punches. Jacy with a punch and she gets a near fall. Jacy with elbows to the clavicle. Jacy with a reverse chin lock. Rhea gets to her feet and she gets Jacy on her back and runs her into the turnbuckles. Jacy with a shoulder tackle for a near fall. Rhea with a kick and short arm clotheslines and back heel kick. Rhea sends Jacy face first into the mat and follows with a drop kick.
Rhea sets for a Razor's Edge but Jacy gets to teh ropes and hits a thrust kick. Jacy misses a charge into the corner when Rhea floats over. Jacy with a flying knee for a near fall. Jacy misses the rolling elbow but Rhea with a back heel kick. Rhea goes up top and Jacy falls into the ropes to stop Rhea. Jacy goes to the turnbuckles. Rhea with punches and she goes undr to hit a super kick against the turnbuckle. Rhea gets Jacy on her shoulders and Jacy with a victory roll for a near fall. Rhea with a back heel kick and she hits Razor's Edge and follows with a flying boot for a near fall. Jacy kicks Rhea away when Rhea goes for the Prism Lock.
Fallon clips Rhea when Rhea goes for RipTide.
The referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Rhea Ripley (by disqualification)
After the match, Fallon, Lainey, and Jacy attack Rhea and Jacy hits the rolling elbow.
We take a look at what happened at the end of Raw.
Jimmy and Jey come up top Fatu and they say that the MFT will get involved but they have Fatu's back.
Fatu says he doesn't need any help.
Charlotte asks Alexa who do they think they are.
Rhea shows up in the trainer's room and she asks if there is a problem.
Alexa says Fatal Influence.
Charlotte says she will get her hands on Jacy Jayne . . . unlike some people.
We have a Brock Lesnar video package.
We have a video package for Ricky Saints because he is coming to Smackdown next week.
Match Number Six: Jacob Fatu versus Solo Sikoa
They lock up and Fatu backs Solo into the corner and he gives a clean break but Solo with a kick and side head lock. Solo goes for a shoulder tackle and he bounces off Fatu. Solo tries again with the same result. Solo teases another shoulder tackle attempt but Fatu knows what is coming and he punches Solo. Fatu with head butts from the turnbuckles but Solo drops Fatu on the turnbuckles. Solo with punches to Fatu. Solo with an uppercut and Fatu with a jumping forearm and a corkscrew back elbow. JC grabs Fatu's leg and Solo knocks Fatu to the floor. Tama with a clothesline to Fatu on the floor and Loa sends Fatu back into the ring.
Jimmy and Jey Uso come out and Fatu does not want them out there. Solo with a clothesline. Solo sends Fatu into the ring steps. Fatu blocks a shot into the steps and Fatu sends Solo into the steps. Fatu misses a hip into the corner and Loa punches Fatu in the ropes. Solo with a punch to Fatu. Solo with a running hip and he chokes Fatu in the ropes. JC with a punch to Fatu. Solo with a running hip into the corner. Fatu with punches to Solo but Solo catches Fatu on a handspring move and Solo with a German suplex for a near fall. Solo with a head butt and Fatu head butts back. They go back and forth with punches. Solo with a boot and Fatu with a kick of his own. Fatu with punches. Fatu with a kick and a clothesline. Fatu with a back senton. Fatu with a splash into the corner and he head butts Solo from the turnbuckles.
Fatu with a running hip and he buffers. Tama distracts Fatu and Solo sets for the Samoan spike but misses. Fatu with a super kick and he goes up top. Loa distracts the referee and JC knocks Fatu off the turnbuckles. Solo with a rollup for a near fall. Fatu with a punch and a suicide dive onto Tama, Loa, and JC. Solo with a thrust kick and a uranage. Solo goes up top for a frog splash and hits it for a naer fall. Solo sets for the Samoan spike and Fatu moves and hits a super kick and a pop up Samoan drop. Fatu goes for the double jump moonsault and hits it for the three count.
Winner: Jacob Fatu
After the match, Tama, Loa, and JC attack Fatu. Loa gets a chair and Jimmy and Jey make their way down the aisle. Fatu kicksa way the chair from Loa and then he hits JC and kicks Tama. Fatu hits Tama, Loa, and JC with the chair. He puts the chair around JC's head and to Tama. Fatu with running hips to both men. Fatu with a suicide dive to Loa and he rearranges the announce table. Loa is put on the announce table and falls off. Fatu head butts Loa onto the announce table. Fatu with a splash through the announce table.
Fatu returns to the ring to buffer.
Fatu looks at Jimmy and Jey.
