We get a recap of Darby Allin winning the AEW World Title from MJF last week.
MJF’s music hits and he is steaming mad. He demands respect and tells the fans not to boo him. He says that last week was the Seattle Screw Job. He had an all out war with Kenny Omega three days before he is told he is wrestling Darby Allin, takes a low blow, the ref gives a fast count and his shoulders were not pinned. He then says that Darby can't beat him when he is at 100% and puts himself over.
He says that if Darby has an ounce of dignity, he will come out and give MJF back his title belt. Instead, we get the TNT champion, Kevin Knight. Knight says it's a different city but the same old Max, coming out to whine. Knight says he knows fans are sick of hearing MJF talk so he’s here to clear the air.
Knight says when you are a real champion, you are willing to put the title on the line at any time. He then reminds us of when he had MJF pinned in the middle of the ring for over a count of ten. MJF mocks Knight’s promo. MJF then says he remembers beating Knight with a heat seeker and if anyone should be a champion, it’s MJF and MJF alone. MJF then mocks the TNT title and says Knight will never be AEW champion and shouldn’t be stepping into his ring.
They go face to face, and Knight says if MJF keeps running his mouth, he may have to slap his nose off his face. Knight goes over the people who have held the TNT title and he says MJF has never held it, so he wants to keep that going and give MJF an ass whoopin’.
MJF asks what MJF gets out of it. MJF then says Knight made him kind of want it, and what really makes him want it is that Knight loves it so much. MJF says if the title is on the line, they have a match. Knight agrees and says they should fight right here, right now, and MJF agrees.
The ref comes to the ring and MJF rolls out of the ring and says Knight will dance with the devil next week.
Renee Paquette is backstage with The Demand and Jericho. Ricochet says Jericho can’t find two partners and that Jericho is the one who gets his ass beat by Jericho. Jericho says Ricochet can’t say that as he has it copyrighted and has a new shirt.
