TNA announced:

TNA Wrestling Presents Slammiversary, Live from Boston on Sunday, June 28

Tickets go on sale this week for one of the biggest events of the year as TNA comes to the Agganis Arena at Boston University

TNA Wrestling brings its marquee premium pay-per-view event, Slammiversary, to Boston on Sunday, June 28, at the Agganis Arena, on the campus of Boston University.

One of the most anticipated nights on the wrestling calendar, Slammiversary is TNA’s annual summer spectacular, featuring many of the biggest matches and moments of the year.

TNA Slammiversary 2013 was held in the same venue and is widely regarded as one of the greatest TNA pay-per-views of all time. It was on that night that Taryn Terrell defeated Gail Kim in their classic Last Knockout Standing match and Kurt Angle beat A.J. Styles after a technical masterpiece. In the 2013 main event, Bully Ray pinned Sting after a brutal No Holds Barred match to retain the TNA World Championship.

The Agganis Arena, located on the campus of Boston University, provides a world-class setting for what promises to be an unforgettable night of action. The venue is accustomed to championship competition – it is the home to the five-time national champion Boston Terriers men’s ice hockey team.

The Slammiversary ticket pre-sale begins Wednesday, April 22, at 10 a.m. ET.

The Slammiversary ticket on-sale begins Friday, April 24, at 10 a.m. ET.

Fans can sign up for priority alerts at TNAWrestling.com.

Slammiversary also will include a post-show Meet & Greet, giving fans direct access to their favorite TNA stars for autographs, photos and one-on-one moments.

Stars on the TNA roster include wrestling legends Jeff Hardy and Matt Hardy, TNA World Champion Mike Santana, TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater, TNA International Champion Mustafa Ali, plus Nic Nemeth, Ricky Sosa, Elijah, The Elegance Brand, Elayna Black, Tessa Blanchard, Rosemary, Eddie Edwards, Frankie Kazarian and Moose, among others.

To celebrate TNA’s return to Boston for Slammiversary, here are five of the most acclaimed Slammiversary matches in history:

On June 10, 2012, A.J. Styles and Kurt Angle teamed to defeat Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian by submission to win the TNA World Tag Team Championship. The bout is often cited as one of the best tag team matches in company history.

On July 7, 2019, Sami Callihan defeated Tessa Blanchard by pinfall in the main event. This historic intergender match was the first of its kind to headline a major North American pay-per-view and was later voted the TNA Match of the Year for 2019.

On June 2, 2013, Taryn Terrell and Gail Kim had their classic Last Knockout Standing match. This brutal encounter is often called one of the greatest women’s matches in history and helped establish the Knockouts as the premier women’s division in wrestling.

On July 18, 2020, Eddie Edwards defeated Ace Austin, Trey Miguel, Eric Young and Rich Swann to win the vacant Impact World Championship. With non-stop action and surprise returns, this was a highlight of the pandemic era and awarded the 2020 TNA Match of the Year by fans.

On June 19, 2022, celebrating the 20th anniversary of TNA and back at TNA’s original home of the Nashville Fairgrounds, Josh Alexander beat Eric Young to retain the TNA World Championship after delivering a C4 Spike on exposed wood from the ring.
