Hope you enjoyed Night 2, I certainly did. For everything Night 1 lacked, Night 2 brought it in spades.
I agree 100 percent.
1. Brock/Oba; perfect. Absolutely perfect. Now, does Brock “retire“ and Gunther goads him into one more match, or is he done? Gunther has about 4 months to poke the bear before SS.
I agree, the match was perfect. Kudos to Brock for putting over the young, new Beast. They definitely could go that way but for me, Brock’s laying down the gloves, then boots, reacting to the fans and Paul Heyman? That was the perfect way to go out and if it were me, that’s where I would leave it. In essence, Oba retired Brock so I would love to see him face off with Gunther.
2. Main event: What a match, who could want anything more than that? Punk went out on his sword, just great. Now, do you think we get more appearances by Roman on Netflix? And do you think that weighed in on the decision to make him champ again?
That match was perfect and everything that I love about pro wrestling. Two all-time greats put on a match for the ages. Roman said on the post game that he will be largely full time until Summer so it appears he will be around, which is fine with me!
3. Does Jade losing speak to a lack of faith in her, or they’re just going with the bigger star for now? Do you see Jade out of the title picture or are we getting a series out of the two?
As I type this on Monday, I don’t know what the future holds for them but I would be fine if the program continues. Jade showed a lot in that match. She has really worked to improve. I can’t say what WWE management thinks about her but I look at her and see an asset.
4. And not nothing, what a pop for Iyo Sky. That was huge! But I think she should have chosen a different outfit if she was going to be as active as she was. She was holding up her top quite a bit, ha.
Iyo is over for sure, but yes her wardrobe choice could have been a disaster!
5. I’m sure you noticed the difference in the crowds between the two nights. Do you think the matches were initially well divided and Night 1 just failed to deliver, or was Night 2 unfairly stacked from the get-go?
I think that night two had more, for sure. Plus it started super hot and got the fans into it. I think that was the big difference, there was more to cheer for on night two as night one had two short title matches and seemed much more rushed than Sunday.
