ACTION Wrestling “We Gambled Away the Graphix Budget”
4/17/26 Las Vegas, NV
Match 1: Unsigned & Don’t Care (Gary Jay & Aaron Williams vs The Good Hand (Suge D & Kasey Owens w/ the Wall)
“This match is gonna F***” says my friend. There’s some weird audio issues happening to start us off. suge getting beat down early until the sentient angry cannonball Owens joins the fray. Kasey and Suge are clearly having some issues staying on the same page and they are getting very frustrated with each other. That said, they are still working together to keep Jay and Williams down. The Wall yells at them to “LOCK IN”. Finally, someone talking sense on this crew. Suge trying to get back to work but here comes Gary Jay! Suge gets him into position and they hit a high low lariat/cannonball. good Hand gets the three! I’m supposed to boo them but I can’t.
Winners: The Good Hand
Suge and Kasey head to head after the bell but they shake on it and maybe the BS is settled…for now.
Looks like we’re about to get to the next match but Mance Warner just stomped to the ring and grabs the mic. He quit TNA. He’s back on the indies and he wants a shot at the IWTV title. He’s calling out Krule?!? The Atrocity is here!
Match 2: Krule(c) vs Mance Warner (for the IWTV championship)
Krule’s music doesn’t play but he stalks to the ring as he does…and swings a chair immediately. Warner kicks Krule low repeatedly. He beats the the hell out of Krule with the chair. A running knee into the chair against Krule’s head and the monster is down for the three. WHAT. We have a new IWTV champ?!?!
Winner: Mance Warner
Mancer says anyone can come looking for a fight. He’s not hard to find.
Match 3: Bobby Flaco vs Alexander Lev vs OXP vs The Wall vs Big F’N Dave vs Landon Hale
Everyone goes at the Wall and falls down. Everyone wants Dave and Wall to fight but OXP goes full giant slayer mode and kicks and flips all over the place. Landon and OXP goes at it and it’s what I love to see. We go full scramble mode and everyone starts getting a little piece of everyone…but they are keeping the big man fight from us. Bobby keeping the crowd hyped up, as he does. Dave with a huge stampede on him for two! Lev runs into the waiting foot of OXP and he hits a springboard Impaler. Hale with the Hale of a Combo! The 450 knees don’t get it don’t. wall back in and he smashes Flaco down and gets the three. The Good Hand swept their matches today!
Winner: The Wall Tyler Stevens
Match 4: Darien Bengston(c) vs Timothy Thatcher (for the ACTION World Championship)
This could be an absolute banger. Thatcher tries to hold Bengston down, a thing that Murderface Timmy should be very good at. He works to break down the hands, the wrist and the whole arm of Darien. But the ACTION championship is slick and able to start countering Thatcher at his own game. But Tim is smiling….and you know what that means. He broke down one limb. Time to move on to another. Bengston fighting for life as Thatcher wraps up a straight jacket choke. Flip over reversal! Thatcher takes it right back. He’s slapping those kidneys. Darien tries a rollup but Thatcher reverse into a crab! Bengston wraps up a cattle mutilation style choke out of the blue. Thatcher frees up and takes a walk to recover but Bengston chases him down on the floor! That her rammed into the apron! Timmy has had enough, he traps the arm of Bengston and slaps the s*** out of him. Darien throws a pair of Makabe fastball punches! Thatcher tries to manipulate the arm against but Darien throws him back, locks the legs down and gets the three! The finish could have been cleaner but I really liked this all the way through.
Winner: Darien Bengston
ACTION Wrestling CEO Matt Griffin is out here. He has a co-announcement with Produce Wrestling. First: There’s going to be a new “DEAN~!!!” Show in September. Second: The DVDRB Forums are coming back, hosted by Produce Wrestling! I guess there’s a third thing but Adam Priest’s music cuts them off and they just take over. It’s time for the crazy 6-man!
Match 5: Adam Priest, Furinomi Abe & Minoru Suzuki vs Jonathan Gresham, Erick Stevens & Zack Sabre Jr
This is the kind of bananas booking I wanna see at Mania week. ZSJ tries to wrap up the Murder Grandpa but Suzuki likes this too much. Let’s trade forearms! Zach tags out…he’s had enough of this. Priest and Gresham tangle to a “short kings” chants. They have a good technical tangle but Gresham REALLY wants Suzuki. He tries to chop with Suzuki but he can seem to get an effective chop off. It happens to everyone, man. Suzuki laughs it off and chops him stiff as a board…which is how he landed after. Gresham back up and hits a nut tap. Suzuki uncorks another hit and Gresham goes limp. Abe tags in but Gresham is a corpse. Stevens has to physically drag Gresham’s body to the corner to make the tag. Abe and Stevens go at it but Gresham gets in there and tries to wishbone the guy. Abe finally starting to fire up with some hard kicks. Gresham gets caught in the corner and Suzuki whips Priest into him over and over. ZSJ finally in to make the save! Gresham with a German to Abe! Kick out! He puts on the octopus lock! Everyone breaking up the hold and putting on their own one at a time! Gresham landing forearms on Abe and almost gets the three! Crowd going full This is Awesome as Adam Priest spikes Gresham with a piledriver. Suzuki holds Gresham up for the Gotch piledriver! Gresham is dead on the mat again but no one is trying to pin him. Abe is holding his hands up as Gresham tries to sit up and seems to fail…the ref suddenly calls for the bell as he says Gresham cannot continue. Did ZSJ throw in the towel to protect Gresham? I’m confused what just happened. Absolutely bonkers match.
Winners: Adam Priest, Furinomi Abe & Minoru Suzuki
Gresham is MAD and right in ZSJ’s face. ACTION champ Darien Bengston is out here to call this down. Gresham says Zach didn’t believe in him. Darien suggests THEY could fight it out in June at Produce Wrestling. It’s on! Darien vs ZSJ in June!
Match 6: Jameson Shook vs Grayson Pierce
I like both these guys. I like telling Grayson he looks like Hunter Drake but more useless. This is a cool stage for them but damn, they have to follow THAT madness? Shook and Pierce get right to work. The crowd still has life to give! They fight into the front row! They fight back into the ring! Big rolling dvd for two almost wins the match for Shook! Pierce with a 450 can’t get it done either. Shooks sent into the support post! Grayson with a suicide dive sends Shook into the post again. Split legged moonsault for two! Shook blocks a second one and hits an iconoclasm for the win!
Winner: Jameson Shook
Match 7: Danny Jones vs Tim Bosby
Bosby is a big boy and it’s wild to see Jones force him to retreat and hide in the safety of the ropes repeatedly. Tim stops playing fair, gut kicks Jones and bites his head. Jones immediately fires up further and starts steamrolling Bosby. Tim finally posts Danny and crabs him in the buckles. This is going into full on hard hitting meat match territory. Danny crushing him with lariats and slams. Bosby with big tosses and a F5 that doesn’t get it done either. Bosby talks too much trash and Jones fires back with uppercuts. Huge discus lariat from Jones! Bosby tries a sneaky pin with his long legs on the top rope. Of course the ref saw it! But what he didn’t see? The corner rollup with a handful of tights just as Jones put the brakes on to not hit the ref. Bosby steals the W! Boooooo!
Winner: Tim Bosby
Match 8: Top Team (Jay Lucas & Terry Yaki)(c) vs New Fever (Shimbashi & Danny Orion) (for the ACTION wrestling tag team championship)
New Fever attack the champ during their introduction. They want those belts. The momentum is very short lived as Lucas escaped and gets Terry Yaki in there. New Fever are goofy heels for sure, Orion looking away as Shimbashi gets atomic dropped on his own partner’s knee. Orion with a fantastic bicycle kick that sends Lucas flying off the top. Stuff slam to Terry but he kicks out! Bodies flying everywhere as no one wants to lose. Shimbashi accidentally knees Orion! Meltzer Driver to Orion and that’s the three! Good match!
Winners: Top Team
Match 9: 1 Called Manders vs Paul Walter Hauser
The whole PWH wrestling arc is so bizarre. Manders is out here in full cowboy gear. Paul is in fat trucker mode. They decide to trade hats and wrestle in them. Manders goes for one of his big chops but he opts to give his opponent a little butt tap instead. Hauser returns the disrespect with a little beard tickle on Manders. The match heads outside the ring and Manders gives PWH a taste of those real cowboy chops. Paul throws a trash can very gently at Manders….the cowboy sends it right back…at full speed. Manders accidentally chops the post! Paul choking Manders in the ropes. That just makes him mad. He tries a macho man double axe handle and Manders has had ENOUGH. He rips open the shirt and chops Hauser to death. “I respect you but…f*** you” says Hauser. Manders uncorks a huge lariat…kick out! Hauser tries a lariat of his own but Manders blows right through it and hits another lariat at full speed for the emphatic three.
Winner: Manders
Manders gives full respect to PWH for stepping in there with him. He pulls him up and lets the crowd give the actor his flowers for this effort. This was stupid fun.
Main Event: Mad Dog Connolly vs Karl Greco-Malenko (3 Rope Breaks Allowed)
Malenko is recently returned to pro wrestling and this is the type of match he defeated Matt Mako in on his return. Can Connolly keep this match OUT of his normal realm of chaos? Mad dog gets caught up in a crucifix choke after he taunts Karl “I thought you were good at this”. Karl takes Connolly to school, wrapping the madman into a series of painful positions. Connolly strikes his way free but Malenko sweeps him, gets on top, butterflies him from the top and sinks in a deep guillotine for the win. This was a solid technical match but there was something there that didn’t live up to being the MAIN EVENT to me. Especially after every other match on this card.
A very good and enjoyable show from the get go. Technical problems marred the stream for sure but the in ring action over-delivered for the majority of the show.
