WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long came out as a surprise and welcomed everyone to Wrestlecon. He said this first match was a tag team match playa!
The Headbangers' final Wrestlecon match vs. Heath Miller & Rhino.
Mosh announced he tore his bicep and had surgery, so he found a replacement. Swoggle's music played and out he came to a big pop.
As you might imagine, there was some light-hearted silliness early on. Swoggle and Thrasher worked over Miller. Thrasher rained down with punches. Miller came back to cut off Swoggle and worked him over. He tagged in Rhino, who stomped away on Swoggle. Miller tagged in. Swoggle started to fire back but was nailed with a big right and drilled to the mat. Thrasher tagged in and worked over Miler. Swoggle drilled him with kicks and hit a DDT. Rhino speared Swoggle but was rolled up by Thrasher for the pin.

Well, I didn't expect this match to happen! Ha! Light-hearted fare. Sucks Mosh was injured but Swoggle stepped up to the challenge.
International Elimination Match: Latigo & Toxin vs. Danny Black & Joe Lando vs. Ben-K & Hyo vs. Starboy Charlie & Star Man.
The Dragon Gate crew controlled the action early. Star Man battled them both. He and Starboy Charlie doubleteamed Hyo. Latigo and Toxin tagged in and they battled Star Man. He tricked them into crashing into each other and nailed a DDT. Star Man glitched in the ring and was stuck. Everyone battled around him. Some nice action between Black, Lando and Latigo and Toxin Star Boy came back to life and hit a moonsault onto everyone. Star Man was eliminated after a shooting star press. THE IRONY!
Three teams remain. Everyone battled. Some fun sequences from the luchadors and the Dragon Gate stars. Latigo was eliminated after a back senton off the ropes from Ben-K. We are down to Black and Lando vs. Ben-K and Hyo. They battled back and forth with forearms and strikes. They hit big moves and were all out on the mat, then battled to their feet. This was a lot of fun, ending with a double team slingshot into a spinebuster, Hyo came off the ropes with an elbow. Ben-K nailed a spear and scored the pin.

Very fun bout with a unique collection of talent in the same ring.
WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter came out and welcomed everyone to Wrestlecon. He invited fans to visit him as "his fox hole" here at the Con. He celebrated Wrestlemania 42 happening and cut a long promo. He seemed to be having a good time.
Masato Tanaka vs. Mark Davis
They teased their strength against each other. Davis salmmed Tanaka. They battled back and forth. Davis locked on a single-leg crab but Tanaka fought to the ropes. Tanaka continued to battle back and nailed a running clothesline. He hit his tornado DDT for a two count. Tanaka missed a low clothesline and was kicked by Davis. Davis went for a powerbomb but Tanaka slipped out to the apron outside. Davis shoulderblocked him to the floor. Davis followed and they battled around ringside. Davis drilled Tanaka with some hard chops and sent him into the ringside chairs. Tanaka fought his way back to the ring but was mauled with a series of forearms. Davis rebounded off the ropes but Tanaka smashed him hard with a forearm. They battled to the top where Tanaka nailed a big superplex. They battled back and forth. Tanaka nailed a low clothesline but Davis shocked him with a crucifix takedown, a kick to the head and a lariat for a close near fall. Davis hit his piledriver for the pin.
You winner, Mark Davis!
A good match.
Tanaka got a big round of applause and fans chanted his name as he exited.
Subculture vs. The Swirl
Swirl are the heels here. Blake Christian was announced as a Nepobaby. Nice reaction for Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster. Christian and Andrews had some nice back and forth action early. Subculture double-teamed Christian. When Lee Johnson tried to interfere, he was hiptossed for his trouble. They continued to control Christian until Johnson finally had enough. He and Blake double-teamed Webster, then Andrews in a nice sequence. Johnson kept stomping away on Webster. The Swirl controlled the ring for some time. Andrews finally tagged and cleaned house. Subculture scored several two counts. The Swirl superkicked Webster and attempted to do the same to Andrews, who avoided and nailed a Pele Kick. They battled back and forth and were down, then exploded up into double clotheslines. The Swirl finally hit a double-team DVDR and stomp for the pin.

Another very good tag team bout with way too much to recap.
Beast Mortos & Derek Dilinger & Jimmy Townsend & Danny Jones & Lacey Lane vs. Steph de Lander & Mance Warner & Gravity & LJ Cleary & Vaughn Vertigo
I can't see much because (and this is a first) an entire team is blocking my vision standing in their corner. Ha! There was a fun sequence with Gravity and Mortos. There was also a sequence where everyone went in slow motion Gravity style. Mortos wiped out Gravity with a big clothesine. Way too much going on through the chaos. Mance brought a chair into the equation. Mortos speared and drilled Vertigo with a scary looking driver for the pin.

ROH Champion Bandido vs. Galeno del Mal.
This should be awesome.
Some solid wrestling early with Mal using his girth and power to keeo Bandido off base. Bandido rebounded using his finesse but was knocked off the apron to the floor. Bandido fought back but was clotheslined off the apron to the floor. Mal followed and worked him over. He drilled Bandido into the ring steps. He tossed Bandido into the second row, which got a big reaction live. Mal worked him over for a long time until Bandido reversed a whip and sent him into the steps. Bandido was overpowered by Mal and beaten down on the floor.
Bandido sent Mal into the ringside chairs and tossed him back into the ring. Mal snapmared him over and kept beating him, tearing at the mask. Mal elevated and slammed Bandido, then nailed a big kick to the face for a two count. Bandido came back with a series of running clotheslines in the corner, and then a twisting dive off the top, taking Mal down. Bandido hit a nice flip dive to the floor. He brought Mal back into the ring and began ripping at his mask. lucha karma. Bandido nailed a superkick and hit a top rope frog splash and scored a close two count.
Bandido nailed a knee strike but was sturck by Mal. They battled back and forth. Mal turned Bandido inside out with a lariat. Lots of near falls. Bandido rebounded off the ropes but was kicked hard. He fired back but was caught and pulled into a powerbomb. Bandido escaped and nailed an enziguiri. Mal headbutt Bandido and drilled him with a big lariat for a two count.
They battled back and forth with forearms. Gal went for a suplex but it was blocked. He chopped away at the champ. He nailed a Michinoku Driver for a close two count. The crowd chanted for Bandido. Bandido finally hit the 21Gunplex for the pin.

Bandido cut a promo after saying it had been a few years since he was at Wrestlecon and he loved and missed these fans. He thanked everyone and thanks Mal for the great fight. They embraced.
Ethan Allen vs. PROGRESS Champion Man Like DeReiss
We have a bonus match! This is for the the title. DeReiss looked strong early and they had some nice back and forth action early. DeReiss went to the top but was knocked off by Allen. Allen stomped and grinded down with punches. DeReiss battled back with chops but Allen used a takedown and controlled him. He went for a suplex but DeReiss blocked it. Allen was caught and suplexed by DeReiss. DeReiss fired away with chops and a big clothesine. He nailed a running knee strike in the corner and followed up with another, but Allen avoided it. Undaunted, DeReiss caught him with a superkick.
Allen fought his way out of a back suplex attempt but was drilled in the lower back. DeReiss went for it again but was caught and drilled by Allen. Allen went to the top and dropped a big elbow for a two count. He kicked away at DeReiss and controlled the champ. DeReiss finally fired back with a running charge. His back was hurting so it took him some time to follow up. He went for a back suplex again but Allen escaped and drilled him with a kick. DeReiss caught him with a cutter but Allen fired back with a kick after escaping. DeReiss nailed him and scored with a 450 splash off the top for the pin.

Ricochet & The Gates of Agony vs. Speedball Mike Bailey & Michael Oku (with Amira Blair) & Kevin Knight.
There was a huge "F*** TNA" chant from the crowd before the bell. These fans are not happy Leon Slater was pulled.
Some nice back and forth action with Oku and Ricochet early. They faced off but Ricochet attacked and savaged him when they each played to the crowd. Brawling on the floor. Oku and Knight hit stereo pescados. More fighting on the floor! Oku set up for a dive but was hit with the Pounce and rudely bounced into the ropes, then fell over with his foot caught as they twisted. That was obviously not the plan but they saved it as Oku was stomped half to death while trapped before the referee could legitimately extricate him.
Oku was worked over for a long time as GOA and Ricochet tagged in and out. Knight was thrown backstage by one of the GOA but crawled back to the ring. Oku continued to play the babyface in peril and was beaten down. Knight finally got the hot tag and dropkicked the GOA off the apron at the same tome. He and Ricochet battled. Knight's crisp work in the ring is nuts. Just always in the right place. The craziness continued with everyone battling.
Bailey fired away with kicks on Toa Liona but he had enough and snatched and slammed him. Ricochet and Oku battled back and forth. Oku hit a springboard twisting DDT. Oku ducked a pounce and hit a reverse flip dive to the floor on everyone. Oku went to the top but was dropicked by Bishop Kaun. He went to slam Oku but Knight dove at him. Kaun caught him and hit a Fall Away Slam on both. Lots of big spots.
Knight nailed a big dropkick on Ricochet. Liona wouldn't go down until a triple superkick. Bailey hit a big moonsault to the floor on GOA. Oku hit Ricochet with a top rope frog splash for a close two count. Oku locked on a single-leg crab but Ricochet fought for the ropes. Oku pulled him back in. Ricochet tapped but the referee missed it due to GOA distracting him. The Demand triple-teamed Oku and hit a Doomsday Device, scoring the pin.
