ALBERTO EL PATRON ARREST UPDATE

According to numerous reports out of Mexico, former WWE Champion Alberto El Patrón was formally charged with repeated domestic violence after his arrest on 4/6.

Although a judge determined there was sufficient evidence to proceed to trial, where Patron faced a potential sentence of one to seven years in prison, he was released after reaching a financial settlement with his wife totaling 1.13 million pesos (around $65,000 in United States dollars).

Under the terms of the deal, Patron is required to attend rehabilitation therapy, pay damages, and avoid any contact with the victim.

These conditions must be upheld for six years, with a compliance hearing set for 10/29. The case will remain under judicial oversight until all requirements are fulfilled.

Patron has not wrestled since the arrest and The Crash in Mexico has announced he was suspended from the promotion.
