Spotlight Match: Amira vs Lexa Valo
Valo’s here from Finland. She’s got some height to her and laughs at Amira’s moniker of the “Tower of Power”. Valo spends a lot of time countering Amira with hair pulls and sometimes pure strength. Amira finally hits the slam she’s been working for all match and gets the three.
As far as I’m concerned, this is the first show of Wrestlemania week. Rich Palladino is our announcer. I see Paul Crockett & Anthony Greene at the commentary desk. Let’s kick this off!
Match 1: The Verdict (Bryce Donovan & Vinny Scalise) vs Shooter Boys (Anthony Vecchio & Aaron Ortiz)
The Verdict and Shooter Boys have been circling each other in combat for weeks. Vinny is in the crowd in disguise and leads a blindside attack. Bryce lays out Ortiz right in front of me (and yells at me to type my report. Yes ok, I’m typing I’m typing ffs). Vecchio eats a lot of damage in the ring before he gets knees up on Scalise and gets the tag to a waiting Ortiz. Aaron just suplexing Vinny like mad but Bryce cuts it right off with a black hole slam. This is the match, hard hitting. Back and forth. Bryce tries to hold Vecchio’s leg down and steal the pin like they did several weeks back but ref Gina catches them and Vecchio rolls up Scalise for the three before Bryce can stop it! Rad opener.
Match 2: The Residency (Rex Lawless & Nick Robles) vs Brando Lee & Corey Duke
Rex is excited to be fighting such tiny opponents. Whack whack whack, goes Robles on the cowbell. Duke and Lee give Rex a lot of fight and make him work for this. Rex is sent to the floor finally and Duke hits a scissor kick on Robles for the win.
Duke on the mic. He’s been the number one contender for some time, and there’s been longstanding issues with Brando and Ichiban to settle as well. Well, He got some news from Wrestling Open officials about Fancy Ryan Clancy and he invites the Wrestling Open champion out here to share for the rest of us. Clancy looking humble out here and even shakes Lee & Duke’s hands. Clancy says he has a torn ACL & meniscus…and will be out indefinitely. So he’s forfeiting the belt. He’s upset that it has to end this way. And next week begins a tournament for the vacant title. He says Lee and Duke will be in the tournament and he gives them both their flowers. And he says that in respect for Duke being number one contender…he gets a bye in the first round. But he promises that whoever wins, he’s coming for them when he’s back. He addresses Ichiban (who isn’t here), he starts about how him and Ichiban fought on Wrestling Open week 2. Clancy isn’t proud of his actions the last few months but he means what he says about being Ichiban’s friends. He loves number one. Clancy doesn’t know when he’s back…but he will be back. Bigger and better. And he will reclaim the title that, for the second time, he never lost. The crowd went from jeering him at the start to a full on “thank you fancy” by the end. Get well soon.
Match 3: Max Caster vs Eye Black Jack
Jack got involved to even the odds in Caster’s clash with Brian Myers last week and Caster is back to get some revenge. Max clearly hasn’t been watching a lot of Open cause he is NOT prepared for the beating the Jack is giving him early on. He finally reverse whips Jack into the buckles and hits a back suplex. But even then, Max keeps paying attention to everything NOT his opponent and Jack almost takes the match repeatedly when he catches Caster lacking. Jack even rolls away from the mic drop! Jack hits the Impaler! Jack splash connects! Kick out! Max rolls out of the uranage as we hit hit one minute left…max flies back into Jack arms and almost eats the uranage again…but Max rolls him up with a handful of tights and steals the three. Great showing for Jack against a TV talent.
Anthony Greene on the stage. He hates the Stetson Ranch. Channing Thomas hates them. Cranston hates them for sure. So next week? It’s StarStruck vs the Ranch…but how many friends can Steven Stetson count on right now?
Match 4: Kaitlyn Marie vs Liviyah
Did I hear Rich Palladino called Kaitlyn “Muscle Meat Mountain”? Liv moves quick early but Marie cuts her off and just crumbles her repeatedly. She’s so confident she pulls Liv up on what could have been a sure thing just to do more damage. And this seems to be paying off. The crowd jeers her mercilessly “who ARE you?!?” but she’s crushing Liv. With not much time left, Liv starts to rally after a boot to the face. KM is rocked and Liv finally puts her down with a high cross body.
Bryce Donovan and Vinny Scalise storm out and demand that Ref Gina is removed because she’s corrupt and can’t count to three for them. They deserve reparations! And next week? They get Shooter Boys again and this time it’s two out of three falls! The Verdict is IN.
Main Event: Miracle Generation (Dustin Waller & Kylon King) vs Mama Bear (Bobby Orlando & Bear Bronson) (Elimination Tag - No Time Limit)
Bear is here! Miracle Generation immediately retreats to the stage. They take their SWEET TIME getting back to the ring. MG tries to enforce this being a tag team match and they are the first ones to break that down. Mama Bear makes them regret it instantly with loud chops, a flying goat to the floor and a thorough beating on the floor. They take them back up onto the stage that MG really wanted to hang out on. There’s no time limit but ref scoot is being really lenient with the outside the ring count. Bear tries to press slam Dusty off the stage but Kylon takes out the knee! Bobby with a superkick! Kylon knocks out Orlando with road case. Did Ref Scott NOT see that?!? He was right there! MG drags ref Scott back to the ring as Bobby Orlando is counted out?!? The rules are play are BIZARRE right now. It’s two on one…but Bear Bronson is the one. Ref Tiger and Gina help Bobby to the back as Bronson fires up. Miracle Generation swarms on him as he enters the ring. It’s bad news for bear. But despite all this tandem offense he’s eating, Bear is kicking out. And three minutes later, Bear throws Dustin to the floor, destroys Kylon and we’re at a one on one match. Bronson beckons a woozy Waller into the ring. Dustin trying to move this man but Bear is strong and just crushes his chest with a seated senton. Second rope elbow caves that chest in further but Waller isn’t done. He chokes Bear into the top rope, running shooting star hits! Kick out! Dustin starts talking smack and he invokes the name of Bear’s wife: Gabby Forza. THAT is a proven mistake and Bear is right to his feet. The straps are down and the chops are flying….and this is allllll Bear. Dustin slaps Bronson. He tries the lethal injection…Bear stops him so he hits a poisonrana! Lethal injection connects for two! He runs right into the black hole slam and the chokebomb! Kick out! He goes for the fire thunder driver but Waller is just collapsing repeatedly. Dustin fights off the move again and rips the turnbuckle off…Superkick! He sees the open buckle and they fight over who is gonna eat it. Right up onto that corner…Walker takes out Bear’s legs and Bronson crashes and burns into the steel. He’s rocked…Dustin with the lethal injection again and a top rope splash gets the three. BOOOOOOOOOO says Cranston….but Miracle Generation has won the main event Elimination Tag.
