Can you clarify whether Chris Jericho ever spoke with WWE?
No one's ever going to admit it publicly right now, but if Tony Khan was referring to Jericho as a free agent and choosing AEW, the implication is that he had discussions elsewhere. We were told that Jericho, right before he went overseas for Fozzy in February, was seen at the same hotel in Stamford, CT WWE used for talents, so it's entirely possible he had some secret meeting. We never heard he was seen at WWE HQ and all along, every time there were rumors he was showing up at a major WWE event, we'd report it wasn't true. If I had to guess, he had at least preliminary chats and then AEW ended up locking him in. I suspect that one day, Jericho will tell the entire tale on either his podcast or a new book.
Where in the world are the Street Profits?
We had heard they were off TV to freshen them up when they return, but it could also be Montez was off the road to assist his wife Bianca Belair coming out of her hand surgery and physical rehab.
What has happened to the WWE Tag Team Title chase? There used to be at least 5 or 6 teams challenging for them. Now, they seem greatly irrelevant. Thanks.
It's just one of those things where WWE hasn't put a lot of attention to the belt. That could change at some point, but I don't think it will be a priority. I love tag team wrestling but I don't see it.
If you could see one wacky off the wall thing in 2026, what would it be?
No one will care about this but me, but I'd like to see WWE book The Rock N' Roll Express to work in Madison Square Garden. The team never had a chance to do so, except for one January 1994 Royal Rumble match, except travel issues forced them to miss the date. I love that the team is still going but I'd like to see them have a chance to have a match or segment in that venue. I don't know if that's what you mean by wacky but it would be unique and I think that if anyone deserved that feet good moment, it's Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson.
Do NWA sign talents to contracts? Any word on a Philly or NYC return?
They do indeed. They are slated to return to the 2300 Arena in July. They are looking at September for some NYC area live events. Nothing has been officially announced and is obviously subject to change.
If you had to pick one last venue to watch one last show in, what would it be?
I think if I was with my best friends, the venue wouldn't matter, but obviously The 2300 Arena and Madison Square Garden would be my favorites, followed by The Allstate Arena.
