I can’t be the only one to notice the HHH trope of bad guys suddenly wanting “win matches on their own”, telling allies to stay backstage; ultimately leading to a babyface turn. We seen it with Finn Balor, now likely with Tama Tonga. I feel HHH doesn’t do enough character development to make this trope anything other than generic and predictable. Your thoughts?
I don’t have an issue with it. I like seeds to be dropped for someone turning either way. Sudden shock turns almost always suck and fail. In the two cases you have mentioned there have been more things in play than just want to win a match on their own.
I’m all for a shock title change to spice up the Road to WrestleMania, but isn’t 7 title changes since the Royal Rumble excessive? Doesn’t this lesson the impact of dethroning a reigning champion at WrestleMania if said titleholder only held the championship for a few weeks prior to the event?
The only Title change that I thought was unneeded was putting the belt back on Cody Rhodes. Other than that, I am OK with the others.
Just finished watching Smackdown. If Pat McAfee is attacking Cody Rhodes, he should be fair game. He shouldn't be immune from getting his comeuppance. Your thoughts???
I agree 100 percent! If someone has a hands off order, fine. But if he attacks someone, that person should be allowed to fight back.
This Pat Mac story is just dumb dumb dumb. Way worse than the Travis Scott stuff and I didn't think that was possible. Please tell me the mystery higher-up isn't leading to the Rock coming back and essentially saying "Mania is my personal playground every year, f*** you all if you don't like it."
I don’t believe that is the case here. With ticket sales being an issue for WWE, I think if they were going to have Rock involved they would have announced it by now, in hopes of a spike. This is just a case of the boss thinking he knows what works in the wrestling business and forcing it on WWE Creative.
