WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN TONIGHT: THE WWE NXT STAND AND DELIVER TIP SHEET

By Mike Johnson & Richard Trionfo on 2026-04-04 10:20:00

WWE NXT will present Stand and Deliver this Saturday on YouTube and Netflix from St. Louis, Missouri with a 7:00 PM Eastern start time for the show.  Here is what we think will happen.

Men's World Championship Match:  Joe Hendry vs Ricky Saints vs Ethan Page vs Tony D'Angelo

Mike:  Four ways traditionally do not draw the same amount of interest as a singles showdown, so I'm curious as to whether this actually closes the show.  In a perfect world, I'd say Ethan Page should steal the win the title, but I don't see WWE doing that.  My gut is that Hendry gets the pin over Saints after he and Page have a miscommunication.

Richard:  If you cannot do a Triple Threat match based on an NXT storyline, you have to build it bigger.  That is why we have a four way match for the Men's championship.  I feel that we are going to get a title change, but I think two of the three options for that result to happen have no chance to win, even if it makes for the best potential television to build to the next title match.  Ricky and Ethan will cancel each other out while they try to do everything they can to become the champion.  Ethan will come close to winning and Ricky will be the pebble in the bottom of your shoe that adds pain to everything you do and he will keep Ethan from winning.  Ricky will pose many times during the match and get a few near falls but he will be stopped by all three men.  I think Joe has done a decent job as champion but he doesn't need a title to be on top.  That leaves us with Tony.  I might not be a fan of this gimmick, but the people are behind it and why not give him the title.  He is a good wrestler when you scrape away the Fake Mafia gimmick or Rusev lookalike deal.  I am afraid that if Tony wins, we go to Dark State fighting for the title.

Women's World Championship Match:  Jacy Jayne vs Lola Vice vs Kendal Grey

Mike: It's just a matter of time before Kendal Grey owns WWE women's pro wrestling, but is this the time?  I'd argue it's too much too soon.  My feeling is this is the moment where Lola wins the title.

Richard:  When they had the match on Tuesday, the voices in my head were telling me 'WHEN IN DOUBT . . . TRIPLE THREAT IT OUT' and we got it, with the announcement a little later than usual.  Lola and Kendal had a good match on Tuesday and there is no reason why the match on Saturday will not be good.  I don't like the 'Triple Threat' stipulation because it means that Lainey, Fallon, Wren, and any friends of Lola can get involved and tarnish the quality of the match and the importance of the victory.  With that out of the way, as I said above, this will be a good match, and might be the best on the show.  I can almost see a situation similar to the Dom/Finn situation on Raw where Fallon gets sick of being a 'help me win the match but I take all the glory'.  Fallon's 'interference' will 'fail' and Lola, who needs the win more than Kendal, becomes your new Women's Champion.  I am picking Lola only because she has had so many chances and if she doesn't win this one, either pull her from the title picture or send her to the main roster.

Tag Team Championship Match:  Vanity Project vs Los Americanos

Mike: No reason for a title change here.

Richard:  This match will have copious amounts of confusion and interference from Grande and Drake.  These are two good tag teams but I do not see any reason why the titles should go to the Americanos.  I think they are starting to be stretched too thin with appearances on almost every show.   The team that is going to be the 'faces' in the match are the ones who cheated to get into this match.  I hope they will stop the metal piece in the mask deal and the first step is to have one Americano accidentally knock out the other while they try to cheat to win.  Brad and Ricky take advantage of the situation and retain.

Men's North American Championship Match: Myles Borne vs Johnny Gargano

Mike: I love the idea of Johnny Takeover appearing and killing it to remind everyone how great Gargano is, but this promotion is about the younger talent, so Borne should win.

Richard: The most frequent statement I might make in the next month will be 'this wrestler needs the win more than the other to build their career against the veteran opponent'.  That is the case with this match.  While the way that Johnny earned the title match was a bit 'WWE-ish', the segment on TV this week was good.  Johnny is framing this as the match that will get him out of his funk and back into the 'Johnny Wrestling' character.  I have always been a fan of Borne's and I think this is the match that pushes him to the next level.  Myles retains and Johnny is back to catatonic.

Women's North American Championship Match:  Tatum Paxley vs Blake Monroe

Mike: This should be about elevating Paxley with a win but Monroe have a great performance here will help her as well as she hasn't hit on all cylinders yet.

Richard:  This is a match that could elevate Tatum even more if she can retain against Blake Monroe.  The hotel stuff was a bit goofy, but Tatum's promos have been decent.  Blake seems to be running in place since her biggest feuds have moved on.  I think it will be a good match where Blake will try to do everything she can to try to get back the title she thinks she never lost (even though I remember covering the match she lost to Thea Hail).  Once Tatum is done with Blake, I wonder who is next for her.  I wouldn't mind Fallon or Lainey.

Sol Ruca vs Zaria

Dave:

Mike:

Richard:  This feud has been building for months, but without any stakes or a stipulation, it feels like this is match 1 of a 5 to 7 match series that will take them close to next year's Stand and Deliver.  Zaria has lost some of her shine since she became 'Sol's Plus One'.  At this point Sol is the star of the pairing so Sol can lose this match and it won't affect her.  I want to see intensity from these women, and it has been there in the build.  I want to see Sol and Zaria as equals in the ring.  I think Sol makes a mistake thinking she has the match won and Zaria takes advantage and over powers Sol to win the match.

Countdown Show Match:  Birth Right vs Wren Sinclair, Hank Walker, Tank Ledger, Eli Knight, and Shiloh Hill

Mike: My feeling is Birth Right steals it.

Richard:  If they are going to do an hour countdown show, I don't mind a match during the show.  This is a way to get some of the newer and popular faces on the show.  The face team feels like an attempt to conglomerate some of the wrestlers who are less utilized or fall through the cracks.  This match will likely break down and we will see pandemonium and maybe some interference from Regal or Finlay, if they are at ringside.  Birth Right needs the win or they are already an appendix to this brand.
