4/2 AEW COLLISION REPORT

AEW Collision was recorded last night after Dynamite from the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, MB, Canada. Our commentary team is Excalibur, Nigel McGuinness, and Tony Schiavone.

Jon Moxley (AEW Continental Champion) vs Anthony Bowens - Eliminator Match

Mox slaps Bowens instead of locking up, and he does so a second time and Bowens knocks him down and then lays in blows in the corner. Bowens lays in chops in the corner. Bowens gets a series of blows to Mox. Mox gets jabs and works over Bowens in the ropes. They run the ropes and Bowens gets a sling blade on Mox, who then rolls to the floor. 

Bowens charges at Mox when he starts up the ring steps and Mox waits until Bowens steps back before getting in the ring. Bowens grabs a guillotine headlock. Mox escapes with arm bars and Bowens gets a snap mare into a rollup for two. Mox forces Bowens to the corner and gets a bite before getting five in the corner. Bowens reverses and gets ten blows in the corner. The referee pulls him off and Bowens comes back for ten in the corner. 

Mox rolls to the floor to escape and Bowens follows. Mox cuts him off with a shot across the throat. Mox forces him over the barricade and Mox follows. They brawl into the crowd as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, they have returned to the ring and Mox has an arm bar on Bowens. Mox takes Bowens down and keeps the hammer lock on Bowens. Bowens works to his feet and Mox snaps the arm. Mox gets a double wristlock. Bowens escapes and Mox lays in blows. They run the ropes and Bowens gets a series of strikes before the both are dropped to the mat. 

They throw hands in the middle of the ring, and Mox takes over with a series of jabs. Bowens gets a pump kick and puts Mox on top. Bowens joins him there and hits a superplex and both men are down. Mox hits a cutter as Bowens charges toward him. Bowens whips Mox to the corner and gets an insigiri and a modified heat seeker for two. 

Bowens lays in kicks and tries for a Famouser, but Mox avoids it and gets an arm bar in the middle of the ring, but Bowens gets to the ropes for the break. They spill to the floor and Bowens is able to get a back body drop on Mox on the floor. Bowens grabs a chair and swings at Mox, Mox avoids it and hits the ringpost. Mox runs away as Bowens swings at him and hits the ringside steps. 

Mox gets a forearm and rolls Bowens into the ring. Bowens gets a jack knife pin for two. Bowens hits the mollywomp three times for two and Mox grabs a bulldog choke. Bowens works to his feet but Mox doesn’t release the hold. Bowens tries to grab the rope but Mox turns it into a Death Rider for the pin and the win.

Winner: Jon Moxley

Will Ospreay hits the ring with a chair and goes after Mox. Mox bails from the ring and takes off through the crowd with the Death Riders. Ospreay grabs a mic and tells him he forgot to take his belt with him. Ospreay says he doesn’t want an explanation for Mox injuring his neck; he just wants to beat him for the title at Dynasty. He says they have a 20-minute time limit in their match and he can do a lot of damage in 20 minutes. 

We then see Kazuchika Okada, Mark Davis, and Andrade El Idolo. Okada says that while Kyle Fletcher has been injured, he has a better partner with Okada. He then tells Andrade is righting for Kyle later tonight. 

Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) AEW Women's Tag Team Champions vs the Already in the ring Ava Lawless and Kristara

The Dominion dominates in a short match where Kristara takes the Divine Intervention as the Dominion gets the pin and the win.

Mox is in the back with Marina Shafir and Daniel Garcia and he’s not surprised Ospreay challenged him for the Continental championship even though he is not at 100%. Mox says he is all about keeping the sport pure and Ospreay is delusional. Ospreay should expect no mercy. He doesn’t need to beat Ospreay, Ospreay will beat himself. 

In the back MVP says that the Hurt Syndicate is back and Bobby Lashley is cleared and ready to wrestle. He says Shelton Benjamin is also here and they are in the market for some new talent. 

Willow Nightingale (TBS Champion) vs Hikaru Shida

Willow had put out an open challenge last night and Hikaru has returned to challenge for the title. 

They shake hands and then lock up and Willow forces them to the ropes where they break clean. Shida gets a shoulder tackle, and Willow comes off the ropes and knocks Shida down with a shoulder tackle. Willow gets a shoulder tackle and Shida comes off the ropes and knocks Willow down with a shoulder tackle. Willow gets ten clotheslines in the corner, and Shida escapes and gets a running knee strike followed by another knee strike for one only.

Shida gets a rear body scissors and Willow leans back for two. Shida rolls Willow down for two. They break and Willow gets a pounce on Shida, knocking her out of the ring. Willow follows her to the floor and gets a clothesline as we go to picture in picture. 

When we return to full screen, the fight on the apron and Shida gets an insigiri on Willow who drops to the floor. Shida sets up a chair and uses it as a launching pad for a knee strike to Willow’s head. Shida gets ten in the corner of the barricade. Willow is rolled into the ring and Shida goes to the top. Shida gets a meteora for two. Shida lays in blows to Willow back, but Willow gets a spinebuster and follows through with a power bomb for two. Shida reverses for two. Willow hits a Death Valley Driver for two.

Willow goes to the top and misses a moonsault; Shida gets a running knee for two, and follows with another running knee strike for two. They fight back and Willow gets a backslide for the pin and the win.

Winner and still TBS Champion: Willow Nightingale

Shida grabs the Kendo stick and holds it in the ring as Willow shows the title to the crowd. Shida bows to the mat with the Kendo stick as Willow leaves the ring.

FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) AEW Tag Team Champions vs the Already In The Ring Mo Jabari and London Lightning

Security is at ringside after Adam Coipeland and Christian Cage threatened to attack FTR last night, and certainly not for Mo and London, who are disposed of quickly. FTR wins with a Shatter Machine on Mo.

Winners: FTR

After the match, Christian sCage comes to the stage with a chair in hand. Cope then joins him and they charge to the ring, taking out security. They get into the ring and all four men start brawling. Cage takes out Dax with a low blow and then Cage starts Biting Cash. Cope gets an Impaler on Cash and they set to hit the Con-chair-to on Cash, but Stokley grabs the chair from Cope and he takes off with FTR. Cope and Cage take out the last two security men in the ring and Cage hits a con-chair-to on one of the security men. 

In the back, the Brawling Bird and MIna Shirakawa are with Lexi Nair and Jamie Hayter say the Thekla has a big mouth. She says she beat Thekla once and she will do it again at Dynasty. Mina tells her not to just beat her, but beat the piss out of her. 

Juice Robinson w/Ace Austin vs Tommaso Ciampa

They lock up and move to waistlocks and arms bars. They move to exchanging headlocks. Juice is able to get a shoulder tackle off the ropes and follows up with a Manhattan drop and a slide Russian leg sweep. Juice gets a senton and asks Tony Schiavone if he likes that move. Ciampa gets a jawbreaker. They fight in the corners back and forth. Juice gets an atomic drop and then slams Ciampa’s head in the top turn-buckle ten times and then mounts for ten in the corner. 

Caimpa goes to the floor and he then sweeps Juice’s leg out from under him on the apron. Ciampa bites Juice and rolls Juice into the ring where he gets a stomp to Juice’s head and lays in blows on Juice. They run the ropes and Juice gets a lariat. Ciampa rolls to the floor and Juice dives onto him. Ciampa tosses a water bottle into Juice’s face and starts beating him down outside the ring as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Ciampa and Juice are throwing hands in the middle of the ring. Juice drops Ciampa with a headbutt. Ciampa gets a big boot and Juice responds with a spinebuster. Juice lays in a series of jabs and chops into the corner. Juice gets a running lariat in the corner and then a full nelson slam for two. 

Ciampa fights out of the pickup and gets a knee strike to knock Juice out of the ring. They brawl on the floor again and Juice gets a running cannonball in the barricade on Ciampa. They return to the ring and Juice hits another cannonball in the corner. He follows with a jackhammer for two. Juice misses a leap off the top and Ciampa pulls down the knee pad. Juice hits him with a leg lariat. Ciampa grabs the ref and hits a back kick to Juice’s swimsuit area and covers for two. 

Ciampa puts Juice on top and joins him. They fight on top and Juice gets a power bomb out of the corner for two. They go back and forth again and Ciampa is able to get a running knee strike and follows with a second for the pin and the win.

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa

Isiah Cassidy says everyone is telling Private Party that they have to change, and since Mark Quen has been taken out, now he is being forced to change. He’s hungry and he’s gonna eat. 

Darby says he has to beat Andrade so that he can beat Moxley. Brody King and Jack Perry are with him and they say they have all fought before, but they all hate the Don Callis Family so they can co-exist for one night. After Brody and Darby leave, Perry says “He set me on fire!”

Andrade El Idolo and Mark Davis vs The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz and Dezmond Xavier) w/Myron Reed

Don Callis joins commentary.

Andrade and Davis attack before the match and beat down the Rascalz on the floor. The Rascalz are able to escape into the ring and dive onto Andrade and Davis. Davis is rolled into the ring and the bell is finally rung. The Rascalz hit a series of double team moves on Davis. Xavier is tagged in and Davis tosses him across the ring. Xavier gets a series of kicks on Davis, but Andrade gets a kick to Xavier’s back and David hits a senton for two. Andrade tags in and whips Xavier hard into the corner.

Xavier gets a quick series of strikes and tosses Andrade to the floor. When Xavier goes for a dive, Andrade drops him with an elbow strike and then goes for a picture with a woman at ringside as we go to picture in picture.

When we return to full screen, Xavier has been the babyface in peril through the break. Xavier gets a running knee and drops Andrade and both men are down. Davis and Wentz are tagged in and Wentz gets a series of strikes and kicks on Davis for two. Don drops his headset and goes to ringside. Davis gets a series of blows and picks up Wentz, but Wentz reverses it for two. Davis gets a lariat for two, broken up by Xavier. Andrade gets in the ring and the Rascalz double team him followed by Davis. The Rascalz go for Hot Fire Flame, but Davis gets his knees up. 

Davis gets a spinning back elbow on Wentz and Andrade follows up with a DM for the pin and the win.

Winners: Andrade El Idolo and Mark Davis

Okada, Rocky Romero, and Trent Beretta come to the ring to beat down the Rascalz. Wentz is tossed to the floor and Okada sets for a rainmaker, but Myron hits the ring and fights all there members of the Don Callis Family off and then dives onto them at ringside.

Mistico, Kevin Knight, Orange Cassidy, and Roderick Strong vs David Finlay, Clark Connors, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta - Tornado tag team match

They all start brawling around the ring. Claudio works over Mistico in the ring and then goes after Mistico’s mask. Mistico is able to escape and leaps into a press lam from Claudio. Mistico gets a tejaris and gets a twisting arm drag off the top ropes. Mistico then dives into Claudio on the floor. We then get Yuta and Cassidy in the ring. Yuta is sent to the floor and Knight launches over Cassidy onto Yuta on the floor.  

Finley and Conners are in the ring to attack Roddy, who starts to fight them off and Mistico gets a drop-kick front he top to knock Conners and Finley to the floor. Yuta joins Claudio in the ring to work over Mistico. Knight is able to get a flying cross body from the top and he works with Mistico to send Claudio to the floor and get a two count on Yuta. 

Knight gets ten in the corner on Yuta as we go to picture in picture. 

When we return to full screen, Cassidy has been beat down in the ring by all four members of the opposite team. Cassidy starts to fight them off as they charge into him until Conners and Finley hit him high and low for two. Cassidy gets stundog millionaire on Finely and Roddy attacks Conners. Roddy uses Cassidy as a battering ram on Conners and Finley in the corners. Roddy slams Finley and then tosses Cassidy onto Finley for two.

We then get Mistico and Claudio in the ring and Mistico gets a hurricanrana on Claudio, which sends him to the floor and Mistico dives onto him from the top. Next is everyone getting a big move on the last person in the ring. It ends with Knight getting a springboard clothesline on Claudio for two, broken up by Claudio’s team. Knight is attacked by all four opponents and covers for two, broken up by his team members. Knight’s team gets a series of sharpshooters, broken up by Claudio. 

Roddy takes three kicks from Claudio before breaking the hold. Claudio tries to slam Roddy, but Cassidy gets an Orange Punch to break it up. As everyone else is brawling on the floor, Yuta gets a busaiko knee on Knight for two, broken up by Mistico. Claudio lays in a series of uppercuts on Mistico. Claudio gets a giant swing on Mistico ended by a drop-kick by Yuta for two. 

Mistico avoids the Fastball special as Claudio tosses Yuta at him. Mistico gets a spinning tejaris and Knight gets the UFO splash on Yuta for the pin and the win.

Winners: Mistico, Kevin Knight, Orange Cassidy, and Roderick Strong
