Las Vegas is the home of entertainment in America. It’s the playground we all dream of spending a night in, and when it comes to what Sin City does best, there’s nothing that beats a fight night.
Whether that be boxing, MMA or wrestling, Las Vegas sure as hell knows how to get it right, and down the years, there have been some pretty spectacular wrestling shows.
It’s something we all want to be a part of. Getting the true Vegas experience. Waking up, starting the day by heading down to enjoy the jingle jangle of the machines, testing all those social casino spins and slots, before heading out to lunch and starting to take in the atmosphere of the city.
Vegas comes alive when there’s the likes of a Wrestlemania in town, and you really do need to soak it all up, experiencing the food, the bars and the casino floors before heading into the arenas. But what are the best Vegas wrestling events of all time? We run down our favourites…
Last year’s Wrestlemania really did pack a bunch and, in true Vegas style, shattered records across the board. Taking place at the Allegiant Stadium, the two-night show welcomed 120,000 fans and became the highest-grossing event in WWE history.
It was an event for the ages, with John Cena picking up his 17th world title, while Seth Rollins triumphed in a blockbuster triple threat match against CM Punk and Roman Reigns.
The event took over the city, with fan festivals, celeb appearances and tons of fringe events, showcasing what a global phenomenon Wrestlemania is and Vegas is the perfect home for it.
Sticking with Wrestlemania, 1993’s ninth edition was one of the more memorable events and one that many wrestling fans look back on fondly. Mainly because it was rather bizarre. Taking place outside Caesars Palace, it embraced a Roman toga party theme, something that hadn’t been seen before and hasn’t been seen since.
The finale was a real show-stopper. After Yokozuna beat Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan unexpectedly appeared and won the WWF Championship in a matter of seconds, creating real controversy that’s still talked about today.
Hell in a Cell always draws the numbers, and Batista against Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship is one that will go down as an all-timer. Batista’s win decisively ended his feud with Triple H, and the brutal nature of the match, as well as the stakes involved, made it one of the defining bouts of the 2000s.
It was a gritty, hard-hitting wrestling classic, with less of the sparkle and glamour you come to expect with Las Vegas, making Vengeance 2005 something entirely different, but entirely exciting in the city, too.
Las Vegas isn’t just WWE territory. TNA’s Unbreakable in 2025 showed the city’s growing importance for the entire wrestling industry. As part of the show, held at Cox Pavilion in front of thousands of fans, the TNA International Champion was crowned for the first time, with Steve Maclin victorious.
While smaller in scale than the likes of Wrestlemania, it was a showcase in high-quality wrestling and wrestling events, with debuts, returns and some excellent in-ring action highlighting a real revitalisation for TNA Wrestling.
Rounding out the list is PROGRESS Chapter 179: Las Vegas, a standout independent wrestling event. Hosted at the Pearl Theater, it brought the UK-based promotion to a global audience during WrestleMania week.
The main event saw Luke Jacobs retain the PROGRESS World Championship against Michael Oku, delivering a technical and emotionally driven match that impressed hardcore fans.
This show represents the modern wrestling landscape, where independent promotions thrive alongside major companies, especially in a hub like Las Vegas.
